Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee (left) and Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis (second from left) do not care about "BLACK WOMEN" or the challenges they face in local politics. Yesterday (Monday, March 31, 2025), Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee threatened legal action against Governor Greg Abbott for not calling a "SPECIAL ELECTION" regarding the vacant 18th Congressional District of Texas. At his press conference, County Attorney Christian Menefee claimed that the 18th Congressional District of Texas was not a political toy. However, on February 10, 2025, Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee and Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis stood in front of the Julia C. Hester House, claiming to be upset about the results of an investigation into Union Pacific Railroad that uncovered toxic dioxin contamination at the Fifth Ward Community Center. While claiming to be on the side of the people of Fifth Ward, County Attorney Christian Menefee, Commissioner Rodney Ellis, and Congressman Sylvester Turner failed to disclose that Commissioner Ellis was/is a Union Pacific shareholder. Congressman Turner took political donations from the Union Pacific Railroad PAC while pretending to be fighting for the people of Fifth Ward, which sits in the heart of the 18th Congressional District of Texas.
Black Female Judges Received $0 from Ellis and Menefee, While Ellis Loaned Lina Hidalgo $100,000.00 and Lesley Briones $100,000.00
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee seek to play the people of the 18th Congressional District for complete fools. If Ellis and Menefee care so much about "BLACK PEOPLE," why didn't they lift a finger to help "BLACK FEMALE JUDGES" the way Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis helped the two Latina members of Commissioners Court who are members of his "CULT-LIKE" political regime?
To drive home my point, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis gave County Judge Lina Hidalgo, one of his "PUPPETS," a $100,000.00 loan on November 2, 2022, and did nothing to help African American Democrat female Judges.
Commissioner Rodney Ellis gave County Commissioner Lesley Briones, one of his "PUPPETS," a loan for $100,000.00 on October 6, 2022, but did not give a damn that African American female Democratic Judges were underseige and being attacked with a barrage of political attack ads on TV, Radio, YouTube, and social media calling them "SOFT ON CRIME JUDGES" in an effort funded by the STOP HOUSTON MURDERS PAC, which were highly successful.
While women, men, and children continue to die in the "CANCER CLUSTERS" in Fifth Ward, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Christian Menefee have proven themselves to be untrustworthy public officials who have no moral compass to guide their political campaign or policy agenda.
Make no mistake about it. Commissioner Rodney Ellis is more likened to a "GRAND WIZARD" ruling over a pack of "PUPPETS" who idolize, worship, and praise him as if he were a mini-God or deity worthy of enshrinement.
Born-again Believers have no business associating themselves with the "GOD-LESS" political regime that Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee are seeking to create after the untimely deaths of the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and the late Congressman Sylvester Turner. Why not?
The word of God says, "Thou shalt have no other gods before me," in Exodus 20:3. Verse 4 says, "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the ward under the earth."
"Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them; for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me."
Why am I publishing this scripture today? Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis worships the $6,414,367.00 he has inside his Campaign Bank Account. However, between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis only donated $6,500.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party, which is inexcusable.
Listen. Christian Menefee is a two-bit interim County Attorney who DOES NOT have any authority to make the Governor of the great state of Texas do anything. "NO LAW" mandates when Governor Abbott must call a "SPECIAL ELECTION" to fill the vacant 18th Congressional District of Texas. In fact, if Governor Abbott wanted, he could push the "SPECIAL ELECTION" to next year's Tuesday, November 3, 2026, General Midterm Election ballot, instead of possibly announcing it to be placed on the upcoming Tuesday, November 4, 2025, "UNIFORM ELECTION" ballot.
Governor Abbott also has the option to call for an "EMERGENCY ELECTION" to be held between the upcoming May 3, 2025, "UNIFORM ELECTION" and the upcoming Tuesday, November 4, 2025, "UNIFORM ELECTION."
Who got the people of the 18th Congressional District of Texas in the predicament where they find themselves? Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, and his "PUPPETS" like Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee are the culprits who screwed over the people of the 18th Congressional District of Texas.
If Commissioner Rodney Ellis and County Attorney Christian Menefee had flip-flopped the positioning of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee's daughter (Erica Lee Carter) and the late Congressman Sylvester Turner during the 2024 Presidential Election, the fiasco the people of the 18th Congressional District are now facing could have been avoided.
In closing, the people of the 18th Congressional District of Texas, in particular, and Harris County in general, must come to the realization that Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Christian Menefee are operating a "CULT-LIKE" political regime.
Harris County Judge Lina Hidaglo received a $100,000.00 loan from Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and is deeply indebted to him. The same goes for Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones, who also received a $100,000.00 loan from Ellis, while "BLACK FEMALE JUDGES" received zilch, zero, nothing—that's not right!

County Judge Lina Hidalgo was given a $100,000.00 loan by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis's Campaign Account on 11/02/2022. Still, when those African American Judges were sued by their Republican opponents, Commissioner Rodney Ellis did not do anything significant to help his fellow African Americans even though he had over $6 million in the bank.

Commissioner Lesley Briones was given a $100,000.00 loan by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis's Campaign Account on 10/06/2022. Has Commissioner Rodney Ellis done anything of that magnitude for any African American male or female judge in Harris County, Texas?

Commissioner Rodney Ellis has $6,414,367.00 in his campaign bank account, more than all of the sitting incumbent "DEMOCRATIC JUDGES" combined. However, the incumbent Democratic Judges are called upon to give the lion's share of the money donated to the Harris County Democratic Party. During the 2024 Presidential Election cycle, while more than a few Democratic Judges donated upwards of $50,000.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party out of their hard-earned campaign money, Commissioner Ellis only gave about $6,500.00 to the HCDP, which was nothing for a man with more than $6 million in his campaign account. Judge Erica Hughes, Judge LaShawn A. Williams, Judge Angela Graves Harrington, Judge Shannon Baldwin, Judge Tonya Jones, and Judge Toria J. Finch have become distinguished judiciary members in Harris County, Texas. Aubrey R. Taylor Communications is proud of them and wishes them the best in future elections. In the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, there will be (26) African American Democratic incumbent judges seeking re-election. Of the twenty-six, only two of them are males. If you scroll down this report, you will see that many of the "BLACK FEMALE JUDGES" below don't have any money inside their "CAMPAIGN BANK ACCOUNTS," which paints a bleak picture for these African Americans and Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis selfishly stockpiles his $6,414,367.00, and helps women from other ethnic groups over come their financial challenges.
