The Early Voting Results for May 31, 2017; Pearland East: 674, Pearland West: 261 and Shadow Creek: 244

Pearland East Branch Voting Location Still Leads the Pack After Second Day of Early Voting for the Saturday, June 10, 2017 General Runoff Election for Mayor of Pearland, Texas; Pearland City Council Position #7

REPORT by AUBREY R. TAYLOR

There's no way to tell with absolutely certainty what's happening in the minds of voters in Pearland, Texas right now. But what I'm about to say isn't a wild guess either. Based on my study of the "CANVASS REPORTS" from the Saturday, May 6, 2017 General Election "SHOWDOWN" between Mayor Tom Reid and Quentin Wiltz, I would have to say that Mayor Tom Reid probably widened his gap on Quentin Wiltz today. Now look, I could be wrong; but I don't think so.

THE PROBLEM FOR QUENTIN WILTZ

The major problem I see for Quentin Wiltz right now is that the "EARLY VOTING NUMBERS" out of the Pearland East Branch are more significant than the numbers being turned in from the Pearland West Branch and the Shadow Creek Branch combined. THE TURNOUT NUMBERS FOR TODAY ARE AS FOLLOWS: A total of 1,179 voters voted in person today. A total of 674 voters voted in person at the PEARLAND EAST BRANCH. A total of 261 voters voted in person at the PEARLAND WEST BRANCH. A total of 244 voters voted in person at the SHADOW CREEK BRANCH on today -- Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

EARLY VOTING RESULTS FROM YESTERDAY

On yesterday, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 there were (779) BALLOTS CAST at the East Pearland Branch. There were (234) BALLOTS CAST at the Pearland West Branch. And there were (295) BALLOTS CAST at the Shadow Creek Branch on the first day of Early Voting.

GENERAL ELECTION VS. RUNOFF ELECTION

Early Voting results for the (SECOND DAY OF EARLY VOTING BACK IN THE GENERAL ELECTION): Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Pearland, Texas were as follows: Pearland East Branch Location: 191 early votes (TODAY: 674); Pearland West Branch Location: 78 early votes (TODAY: 261): Shadow Creek Branch Location: 120 early votes back on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 and (TODAY: 244). So, from this comparison you can clearly see that voters are turning out in greater numbers at all three (3) of the voting locations. However, it's almost like someone flipped a switch or something at the East Pearland Branch. And no, I'm not trying to say that everyone going to this location is casting a ballot for Mayor Tom Reid -- I'm simply saying that the "EAST SIDE OF PEARLAND IS A STRONGHOLD" for both Mayor Tom Reid and Woody Owens. Again, I could be wrong; but I truly believe that Mayor Tom Reid's loyal supporters are responding to his call to help him secure his legacy. However, we won't know for sure until Saturday, June 10, 2017 after the polls close. Stay tuned...
