Commissioner Rodney Ellis (top left) is the "ALLEGED MASTERMIND" behind a series of political maneuvers about to take place in Harris County, Texas. According to several sources, Commissioner Ellis is allegedly about to play musical chairs with the Harris County Judge and Sheriff positions over the next few months. According to several Democratic sources, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo will step down at some point between today and the December 2025 filing deadline for her to run for reelection in the March 3, 2026, Democratic Party Primary. Commissioner Ellis and his fellow County Commissioners will then allegedly appoint Democratic Sheriff Ed Gonzalez as County Judge Lina Hidalgo's replacement. They will then move to appoint former City of Houston Police Chief Troy Finner as Sheriff Ed Gonzalez's replacement. OVER IN FORT BEND COUNTY... Shortly after Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George voted with Republican Commissioners to allocate $60,000.00 to redraw voter precincts that exceed the population limit allowed by Fort Bend County statute, he found himself hit with two felony indictments for "MONEY LAUNDERING" by the Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office, which is headed up by Brian Middleton, a fellow Democrat.
"THE MASTERMIND."
Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis has long been considered "THE PUPPET MASTER" because of his penchant for controlling local officials who worship, adore, and idolize him in Harris County, Texas. It is unclear at this time if Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis is pulling the strings of the Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton, or either of Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George's hungry "DEMOCRATIC OPPONENTS" but we should be able to figure that out as the race for Fort Bend County Judge continues to unfold.
As for today, Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George faces a tough hill to climb as three duly-qualifed Democrats have already announced that they will be challenging the embattled County Judge. That said, the most impressive in the group is a rising star in Fort Bend Democratic Party politics named Judge Rachelle Carter, who has a meet-and-greet fundraiser coming up on next week on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at the Karma Lounge, located at 3014 Colonial Lake Drive, Missouri City, Texas 77459, at 6:00p.m., according to a flyer I ran across.
Former Fort Bend County Precinct 3 Constable Nabil Shike and District Court Judge Christian Becerra, who currently presides over the 434th Judicial District Court in Fort Bend County have both announced their plans to challenge the embattled County Judge, K.P. George next year in the March 2026, Democratic Party Primary race for Fort Bend County Judge.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo (left) is preparing to step down in the next few months instead of risking losing her position in the March 3, 2026, Democratic Party Primary to former City of Houston Mayor Annise Parker, according to multiple Democratic sources close to the matter. Commissioner Rodney Ellis and other members of his "CULT-LIKE" political regime plan to appoint Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez as the new Harris County Judge once County Judge Lina Hidalgo resigns in the next few months. Former Houston Police Chief Troy Finner is the person Commissioner Ellis's regime will appoint as the new Harris County Sheriff, once County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez becomes the new County Judge, according to our Democratic sources.

Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George, a lifelong Democrat, has been forced to hire two high-powered GOP LAWYERS out of Harris County, Texas, to assist him in his fight to remain a free man. Attorney Terry Yates (left) and Attorney Jared Woodfill (right) believe the two new "MONEY LAUNDERING" charges levied against their client are politically motivated.
STATEMENT FROM FORT BEND COUNTY JUDGE KP GEORGE ABOUT THE TWO MONEY LAUNDERING CHARGES
"As an elected official, I have always operated with integrity and transparency. Let me be absolutely CLEAR—there is nothing illegal about loaning personal funds to my own campaign and later repaying that loan. This is a standard and lawful practice.
Unfortunately, this is a continued example of the Fort Bend County District Attorney’s office weaponizing the government with an obvious political witch hunt PERIOD!!! Allegations and accusations are being made without full context or disclosure of the facts—deliberately manipulating the narrative to tarnish my reputation and character.
I have full confidence that the truth will prevail; in the meantime, I remain committed to serving and fighting for the people of Fort Bend County with the same passion and dedication as always."

The Mastermind Behind the Events Unfolding in Fort Bend and Harris County, Texas, Appears to Be Rodney Ellis
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
I have loved and admired several local judges for a long time, long before I helped them get elected to local judicial benches in Harris County, Texas. I guess that's why it pains me so much to sit back and watch Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis's "CULT-LIKE" political regime throw in the towel on sitting Democratic judges, who will be running in a countywide race in the 2026 Midterm Election.
It’s heartbreaking that a few of the people I loved, admired, and respected appear to have lost their minds and don’t even possess the ability to think for themselves.
Commissioner Rodney Ellis appears to be masterminding a plot to leave local financially strapped “DEMOCRAT JUDGES” stranded in the wake of what’s unfolding to be the most competitive general election cycle we’ve seen in nearly a decade.
Listen. We have twenty-six African American “DEMOCRAT JUDGES” who will be running for reelection in the 2026 Democratic Party Primary. These twenty-six African American judges are ill-prepared to stave off the primary challenges they’re about to face, let alone the “POLITICAL ATTACK ADS” they’re going to get bombarded with if they are lucky enough to emerge from the fierce 2026 Democratic Party Primary Election season with the nomination.
According to my sources, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis has his fingerprints all over what will unfold over the next few months in Harris County, Texas, and Fort Bend County, Texas, during the same time frame.
The citizens of Harris County, Texas, are about to possibly witness a scenario where Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo steps down from her position as County Judge to avoid losing her position to former City of Houston Mayor Annise Parker in the March 2026 Democratic Party Primary election.
What Commissioner Rodney Ellis, who is the mastermind behind the ‘switch-a-roo” game that’s about to unfold over the following few months, plans to do is replace Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo with current Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, which would give his “CULT-LIKE” political regime a better chance at keeping the Harris County Judges’s position in their camp.
Once Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez replaces Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, former Houston Police Chief Troy Finner will replace Sheriff Gonzalez as the Harris County Sheriff before the 2026 Democratic Party Primary.
A backroom deal has possibly gotten cut to replace Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee with a Hispanic female.
Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee and Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis have more information than they’re sharing with local “DEMOCRATIC JUDGES” and other countywide officials as the 2026 Midterm Election season quickly approaches.
For example, over in Jefferson County, Texas, two longtime Democratic Party judges elected to the bench as Democrats back in 2014 announced their switch from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party on April 7, 2025.
Judge Kent Walston, the presiding judge for the 58th District Court in Jefferson County, Texas, and Judge Raquel West, the presiding judge for the 252nd District Court in Jefferson County, Texas, made their official announcements at a Republican Women’s organization meeting held in the Golden Triangle.
Closer to home, over in Fort Bend County, Texas, embattled Democratic Fort Bend County Judge KP George is embroiled in an all-out war with the Fort Bend County Democratic Party.
County Judge George is so disgusted with his party that he hired Attorney Jared Woodfill, the former chairman of the Harris County Republican Party, and Attorney Terry Yates, a well-known local criminal defense attorney.
According to County Judge K.P. George, the attacks against him are politically motivated. If you remember, Judge K.P. George recently broke with Democrat county commissioners on a measure to allocate $60,000.00 to redraw voter precincts that exceed the population limit allowed by Fort Bend County statute.
While the calls for County Judge K.P. George are growing louder, Fort Bend County Democratic Party Chairman Fred Taylor is stepping into the fray. He’s not backing down. According to his attorney, Jared Woodfill, his client has no plans to resign from his position.
According to attorney Jared Woodfill, the money laundering charges filed against County Judge K.P. George on March 31, 2025, should have been investigated by the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC) before charges were filed against his client.
“A lot more is going to come out as we move forward,” proclaimed attorney Jared Woodfill at a press conference recently held by County Judge K.P. George, where his legal team called the charges against their client an “obvious political witch hunt.”

OTHER FBCDP DEMOCRATIC DEVELOPMENTS…
While Fort Bend County Democratic Party Judge K.P. George defends himself against criminal charges, the pressure of a hungry group of Democrats seeking to take his position is mounting.
County Judge K.P. George has not officially announced whether he will run for reelection in the upcoming 2026 Midterms, but his list of opponents is beginning to take form.
According to published reports, Former Fort Bend County Constable for Precinct 3, Constable Nabil Shike, has set his sights on County Judge K.P. George’s seat.
District Judge Christian Becerra, who presides over the 434th Judicial District Court, has announced his plan to run against County Judge K.P. George next year in the 2026 Democratic Party Primary race for Fort Bend County Judge.
On Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., a meet and great fundraiser will be held for Judge Rachelle Carter, a Democrat, who plans to run against Fort Bend County Judge K.P. George, former Constable Nabil Shike, and District Judge Christian Becerra, in the 2026 Democratic Party Primary race for Fort Bend County Judge.
The meet-and-greet fundraiser for Judge Rachelle Carter will be held at KARMA LOUNGE, 3014 Colonial Lake Drive, Missouri City, Texas, 77459.

WHY IS MENEFEE STILL THE COUNTY ATTORNEY?
Thanks to acting County Attorney Christian Menefee’s cowardly action, the Harris County Democratic Party must now try to reclaim the Harris County Attorney’s office twice in four years. A new race for the Harris County Attorney’s seat will be held in the 2026 Midterm Election, and another race for the Harris County Attorney’s seat must be held in the 2028 Presidential Election to get the race back on its regular schedule.
On Thursday, March 27, 2025, the Houston Chronicle Newspaper published a story titled “Harris County commissioners keep Christian Menefee as county attorney until the election is called to replace Sylvester Turner.”
In the first paragraph, the Houston Chronicle explained, “Harris County Commissioners have opted to keep Christian Menefee as the county attorney until Gov. Greg Abbott calls an election to fill the late U.S. Rep. Sylvester Turner’s seat in Congress.”
On April 7, 2025, Governor Abbott issued a proclamation announcing Tuesday, November 4, 2025, as the special election date to fill the vacant 18th Congressional District of Texas seat.
So, why is Christian Menefee still serving as the acting County Attorney? When will Harris County Commissioners appoint Menefee’s replacement?
Texas law, spelled out in our Texas Constitution, allowed County Attorney Christian Menefee to continue serving as the acting county attorney after his resignation on Saturday, March 15, 2025. However, now that Gov. Abbott has set November 4, 2025, as the election date for the 18th Congressional District of Texas special election, shouldn’t the county commissioner appoint someone new as promised?
Remember, Roxanne Werner, who serves as the county attorney’s communications director, stated in an email, according to an article published by Community Impact, “Whoever commissioners appoint will hold the office until a success is elected and qualified after the November 2026 general election.”
Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee triggered his resignation on Saturday, March 15, 2025, when he hastily rushed from the funeral of the late Congressman Sylvester Turner and filed his “STATEMENT OF CANDIDACY” with the Federal Election Commissioner (FEC) before the dirt even settled over the late Congressman Sylvester Turner’s gravesite.
As aptly stated in the Houston Chronicle report, the Harris County Commissioners chose to take “NO ACTION” to replace County Attorney Menefee on Thursday, March 27, 2025, leaving him in place until Governor Abbott calls an election.
Well, Governor Abbott called the election on April 7, 2025. What’s the hold-up? Why is Christian Menefee still serving as the County Attorney? Huh?
Their line of thinking leaned toward an abundance of caution related to the fact that choosing a new county attorney might cause a disruption. “Right now, I think we’re in good hands,” Commissioner Adrian Garcia stated in the Houston Chronicle article.
Whether Christian Menefee wins the upcoming “SPECIAL ELECTION” for the 18th Congressional District of Texas, he’s placed the Harris County Democratic Party and the people who trusted him in a precarious situation.
County Commissioners must now choose a replacement for Christian Menefee, who will serve in the position until next year’s Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Midterm Election. After that, to straighten out the mess caused by Harris County Christian Menefee’s abrupt resignation and to get things back on track, another race for County Attorney will occur in the 2028 Presidential Election in Harris County, Texas.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT…
If Christian Menefee abandoned his post as County Attorney, who’s to say that he won’t abandon his post if he’s elected to succeed the late Congressman Sylvester Turner on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the special election?
There’s no place in politics for quitters. Christian Menefee is overly ambitious because he doesn’t think for himself or care about all the people who voted for him to serve as their County Attorney. But I get it; it’s challenging to think and act for yourself with someone like Harris County Attorney Rodney Ellis pulling your strings.
Every 18th Congressional District of Texas voter who does not realize that every vote for Christian Menefee is a vote for Commissioner Rodney Ellis is delusional. Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis is called “THE PUPPET MASTER” for a reason. If you watch County Attorney Christian Menefee closely when Commissioner Ellis is around, you will notice that he seems fidgety.
Listen. County Attorney Christian Menefee hops, jumps, bends over, scratches his head, shuffles his feet, and does the “WATUSI DANCE” whenever Commissioner Rodney Ellis pulls his strings or plays a familiar beat on his drum that he recognizes – that’s a fact.
Christian DeShaun Menefee must be rejected by the voters living within the boundaries of the 18th Congressional District of Texas on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. And don't forget that the filing deadline to run for the seat is Wednesday, September 3, 2025, with "EARLY VOTING" beginning on Monday, October 20, 2025.
