The woman known as "Dr." Candice Matthews filed a criminal complaint against Judge Joseph L. The Streets Are Now Talking; “Dr.” Candice Matthews and Quanell X Are Not Welcome in Port Arthur, Texas

For those of you who don’t know, Port Arthur, Texas, is referred to as “Land of da TRILL.” According to the Urban Dictionary, the title was given to the city of Port Arthur for being the first area to use the term “TRILL,” which was popularized by the rap group U.G.K. in the past. These days, some Texans try to use the “TRILL” brand to refer to the entire state of Texas, but Port Arthur, Texas, is still known across America as the original “Land of da TRILL.”
In Houston, Texas, Port Arthur, Texas, native, and Grammy-nominated rapper, Bun B, is widely known as the “UNOFFICIAL MAYOR” of the City of Houston for his philanthropy, iconic persona, and love for the Bayou City.
According to a recent article I read, when asked to define the TRILL, he stated, “Trill is about being honest with yourself about the people around you. A code of honor, so to speak, to block from the negativity and the frustration and sometimes the depressing and difficult things that tend to hold people back.”
He further stated, “Trill has always been something that came from the city of Port Arthur,” he said. “Port Arthur was the home of trill; that’s the street where the word trill came out of,” Bun B proclaimed.
“That’s the term that we used in Port Arthur to separate ourselves from everyone in the world.”
“ENTER DAVID JONES.”
I recently noticed a FACEBOOK post published by a concerned Port Arthur citizen named David Jones, titled, “Setting the Record Straight with Facts.”
In case you don’t know him, David Jones is also the bold, strong, courageous host of the P.A. Political Revolutionary Podcast, which focuses on the Port Arthur, Texas political scene. “When presenting facts, there’s no need for dramatic theatrics or inflammatory rhetoric,” stated David Jones. “The evidence should speak for itself,” he proclaimed.
He went on to elaborate. “Unfortunately, certain individuals have chosen to mislead Port Arthur residents by manipulating information and making false claims.”
“Those seeking to undermine local leadership could have simply contacted the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office directly to clarify job duties and requirements,” said Jones in his FACEBOOK post published to clear the good name of Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, who will be seeking re-election in next year’s 2026 Midterm Election.
According to this concerned citizen, instead of “Dr.” Candice Matthews doing her due diligence, she chose to use a deceptive approach by obtaining a statement from the Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement regarding POST certification, while deliberately omitting crucial context.
“The facts are clear: POST certification requirements for reserve deputies began January 1, 2022. Judge Guillory served as a deputy in 2001, twenty-one years before these certification requirements took effect. This timeline completely invalidates their accusations,” says Jones.
The concerned citizen is correct, according to my former FBI Investigative Specialist, Charles “Chuck” Marler, who has been closely monitoring Candice Matthews for years.
“Furthermore, the attempt to suggest that official state letterhead with the governor’s information somehow validates their claims demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of how government documents work,” proclaimed David Jones.
According to Jones, “All federal, state, and municipal agencies include their leadership’s information on official correspondence—this is standard practice, not evidence of impropriety.”
“Port Arthur residents deserve honest, fact-based discourse from those who seek to influence our community. We should reject tactics that rely on character assassination and misinformation,” says Jones. “Port Arthur deserves better than manufactured controversies and outside interference in our local affairs.”
He also proclaimed, in another post, “ENOUGH LIES: The Truth About Judge Guillory.”
“I’m done staying silent while liars destroy a good man’s reputation.”
According to David Jones, he believes that “OUT-OF-TOWN” political operatives have invaded Port Arthur, Texas, for the specific purpose of destroying Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, through what he’s labeled as a “coordinated campaign of lies, slander, and character assassination.”
“They think you’re too stupid to see through their deception.”
But Jones stated, “They’re wrong.”
“These outside agitators can’t beat Judge Guillory on the issues, so they’ve resorted to character assassination. They’re betting that if they repeat lies often enough, you’ll believe them. They’re counting on you being too busy, too trusting, or too confused to discover the truth,” he says.
However, Jones proclaimed that the people trying to destroy Judge Joseph L. Guillory have made a fatal miscalculation. He says, “This isn’t just about Judge Guillory—this is about whether we’ll let outside money and outside lies control our community.”
According to Jones, “This is about whether we’ll stand up to political bullies who think they can buy our elections with dirty tricks and slander.”
“Judge Guillory has fought for this community every single day. Now it’s time for this community to fight for him.”
In what appears to be a sincere message from a man of conviction and intestinal fortitude, David Jones boldly declared, “I won’t be bought. I won’t be silenced. I won’t let them lie to you,” referring to the outside agitators.
In closing, he compelled the people of Port Arthur, Texas, to “STAND UP,” and “FIGHT BACK,” because “THE TRUTH” is on the side of the people of Port Arthur, Texas.
“ABOUT PORT ARTHUR.”
The City of Port Arthur, Texas, is 42.5% Black, meaning that this area is predominantly African American, according to the latest census data. In that, the overall population of Port Arthur, Texas sits at around 55,799, residents, which means that the City of Port Arthur, Texas, is a ‘Tightknit Community,’ where “OUTSIDERS” like Quanell X and the cowboy-hat-wearing woman referred to as “Dr.” Candice Matthews had better tread lightly in their town.
We are currently unsure who the locals are in Port Arthur, Texas, who could possibly be behind the “SMEAR CAMPAIGN” carried out by “Dr.” Candice Matthews. Still, we are considering opening a full investigation into the matter.
My investigative team has received a list of names. Still, it is unclear if any of the “ELECTED OFFICIALS” on the list have ordered “Dr.” Candice Matthews to harass Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, as he seeks re-election in next year’s 2026 Midterm Election.

Jefferson County Judge Jeff R. Branick, from what we’ve been told, is a straight shooter and would never be involved in the “SMEAR CAMPAIGN” we’re watching unfold against Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, with the repeated lies. Falsehoods springing forth out of the mouth of “Dr.” Candice Matthews, an outside agitator.

Michael “Shane” Sinegal is the Precinct 3 Commissioner in Jefferson County, Texas. He’s pretty well-known and politically connected. While Commissioner Sinegal has many friends, he’s also made his fair share of enemies. However, that does not mean that Commissioner Sinegal is the person who is behind the “SMEAR CAMPAIGN,” that has been launched against Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, by the woman referred to as “Dr.” Candice Matthews.
“THE COUNTY SHERIFF.”
I’ve heard some good things about Zena Stephens, the current Sheriff of Jefferson County, Texas. From what I understand, Sheriff Stephens has more than 30 years of extensive experience in law enforcement management and operations.
Candice has taken photos with Sheriff Zena Stephens, but elected officials often take pictures with anyone who asks. And taking a photo with a “CLOUT CHASER,” like “Dr.” Candice Matthews, doesn’t mean that Sheriff Stephens is in cahoots with the groupie.
“THE NEW MAYOR.”
Mayor Charlotte Moses, a native of Port Arthur, Texas, has dedicated her life to public service, leadership, and community advocacy. She recently became the new “ELECTED MAYOR” of Port Arthur after defeating Charlie Lewis, Jr., in a low-turnout runoff election.
With only 2,710 total votes cast, Charlotte Moses received 1,520 votes, for 56.1% of the vote, and Charlie Lewis, Jr., received 1,190 votes for 43.9%.
Moses succeeded former Mayor Thurman “Bill” Bartie, a Democrat, who recently launched a bid to run for the United States Congress for the 14th Congressional District of Texas against current Congressman Randy Weber, a Republican.
Whether former Mayor Thurman “Bill” Bartie, or current Mayor Charlotte Moses, is behind the maliciously divisive antics unfolding with the “SMEAR CAMPAIGN,” against Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, remains to be seen.
However, at this point, what we do know is that “Dr.” Candice Matthews claimed to be Bartie’s cousin last year. Still, when we called him, Bartie assured us that Candice was not his blood relative or cousin, as she claimed in a video of her threatening Eligah Ricky Jason.
“PRECINCT 2 CONSTABLE.”
Christopher L. Bates, the Precinct 2 Constable, is deeply involved in local politics. However, it is unclear whether he would have the gall to allow an outsider like “Dr.” Candice Matthews to maliciously attack the character and reputation of a member of the judiciary.
It is unclear whether Isaiah Seltzer, a Lieutenant Deputy at Jefferson County Constable Precinct 2, Office, according to his Facebook account, is connected to “Dr.” Candice Matthews and her “SMEAR CAMPAIGN” against Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, but time will tell.
“THE BOARD TRUSTEE.”
Brandon Bartie currently serves as a trustee on the Port Arthur Independent School Board. He’s pretty well-known in Port Arthur, Texas, and doesn’t appear to be connected to “Dr.” Candice Matthews in any way at this point. However, Brandon Bartie ran for Jefferson County Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace in 2022 and got defeated by Joseph L. Guillory.
For the record, Joseph L. Guillory, II, handily defeated Brandon Bartie and Kyrin Baker during the 2022 Midterm Election, in the race for Jefferson County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2.
“UNDERHANDED POLITICS.”
It’s one thing to campaign against a popular judge like Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, who is up for re-election in next year’s 2026 Midterm Election, in the race for Justice of the Peace Precinct 2. Still, it’s another thing to run a “SMEAR CAMPAIGN,” by maliouciously lying about him, trying to discredit him, and continuing to harass him daily.
This “Dr.” Candice Matthews woman, who serves as Quanell X’s National Minister of Politics for the New Black Panther Nation, had better start doing better research before publishing any more false information about the Honorable Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II.
Someone needs to pull “Dr.” Candice Matthews to the side and explain to her that she could have charges or a civil suit filed against her if she doesn’t straighten up her act. Especially, if she continues to lie and espouse falsehoods about Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, not having served as a Deputy Sheriff with the St. Tammany Sheriff Department.
Depending on the circumstances, Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, may be eligible to press charges or take legal action against the cowboy-hat-wearing “Dr.” Candice Matthews for making false accusations about him not being a former Deputy Sheriff in Louisiana.
Now, I’m not a lawyer, but in her capacity of conducting a “so-called” investigation into Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, the woman referred to as “Dr.” Candice Matthews appears to have maliciously defamed Judge Guillory by spreading falsehoods, lies, misrepretation of facts, and misleading statements about him, with wreckless disregard for the truth.
In Texas, the remedy for Judge Guillory could include criminal action against “Dr.” Candice Matthews or a civil claim resulting from her negligence.

Listen. The reports “Dr.” Candice Matthews is publishing on INSTAGRAM and posting in her other “SOCIAL MEDIA NETWORK” about Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, spreading the lies that he did not serve as a Deputy Sheriff in Louisiana are maliciously false.
For the record, Defamation occurs when someone publishes a communication about another person using words, photographs, radio, video, TV, Internet, Illustrations, magazines, emails, search engine results, text messages, or other means which has the effect, intent, or tendency of damanging the reputation of another person.
What this “Dr.” Candice Matthews woman is doing to Judge Guillory is not exercising “FREE SPEECH,” but rather a malicious smear campaign aimed at destroying his reputation.
Is this “Dr.” Candice Matthews woman getting paid by another elected official in Port Arthur, Texas, to taint the “GOOD NAME” of Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, the presiding Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, who has placed a “ONE-YEAR PEACE BOND” on her?
“FILING COMPLAINTS.”
Can someone tell me what attacking Judge Joseph Guillory, II, has to do with “Dr.” Candice Matthews jumping in her car and traveling from North Houston to Port Arthur, Texas, to threaten Eligah Ricky Jason at his home?
Listen. All of these complaint filings with government agencies against Judge Joseph L. Guillory appears to be what’s called a “DIVERSIONARY TACTIC,” aimed at diverting the attention of the general public away from the alleged crimes committed by “Dr.” Candice Matthews when she threatened Eligah Ricky Jason, on video as she paraded in front of his home in August of 2024.
On top of threatening to cause “SERIOUS BODILY INJURY” to Eligah Ricky Jason, what’s unfolding with “Dr.” Candice Matthews, with all of these complaints against Judge Guillory, is a feeble attempt to obstruct justice and make a mockery of our Texas Courts.

Many people don’t know the difference between a community activist and a hired henchman, but on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Investigative Reporter Aubrey R. Taylor and several members of his “INVESTIGATIVE TEAM” will enlighten the general public by explaining the difference.
There’s also a big difference between activism and intimidation. And what’s been happening to the Honorable Judge Joseph L. Guillory in Jefferson County, Texas, is nothing short of a desperate attempt to intimidate him into not doing his job, which is a crime.
I’ve spoken to my chief investigator, who is a former FBI Investigative Specialist Charles “Chuck” Marler, about what’s unfolding between the woman referred to as “Dr.” Candice Matthews and her blatant attempt to disparage the good name of Judge Guillory.
“What Candice is doing is against the law,” said Marler. “In the state of Texas, threatening someone or making someone feel threatened is not legal,” he explained.
According to Marler, what the woman referred to as “Dr Candice Matthews is doing is tantamount to obstructing justice by way of a terroristic threat.
“Texas Penal Code § 22.07 is obvious,” says Marler. “In Texas, making a terroristic threat or even alluding to the fact that you are may or may not harm a public servant, judge, prosecutor, as retaliation for carrying out their actions or in an attempt to prevent them from performing their duties is strictly prohibited,” explains our former FBI Investigative Specialist.
He says, “What’s happening with Candice is a situation where she’s not only using covert and overt means to try and dissuade Judge Guillory from holding her accountable, but she’s directly obstructing justice.”
“Texas Penal Code § Candice is violating 36.06 as she uses retaliatory means to obstruct Judge Guillory and dissuade him from protecting a Texas citizen (Eligah Ricky Jason), from her and members of the New Black Panther Nation, Quanell X heads that up.”
Plain and simple, “If a terroristic threat is made against a peace officer or judge, it’s a state jail felony,” says Marler.
However, according to Marler, “in Texas, threatening a judge could also be a matter that the United States Justice Department could ultimately get called in to deal with, because it could be a violation of state, but also federal law.
“When the threats and intimidation tactics used cross state lines, or interfere with someone like Judge Guillory doing the job the people of Texas elected him to do, related to administering justice, that’s a serious ‘NO-NO,” he explains.
There’s no mistaking it, “Candice Matthews must be held accountable for her actions, and judges in Harris County, Texas, and Jefferson County, Texas, must not fear Candice or Quanell X, or turn their backs on Texas citizens whom they’ve allegedly victimized.”
When asked if Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, had lied about being a deputy sheriff to get elected, as Candice had been proclaiming, and whether this had anything to do with him holding her accountable, his answer was no.
“Judge Guillory was elected in 2022 to serve the State of Texas as the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, and that’s what he’s supposed to do,” proclaims Marler.
“PEACE BOND JUSTIFIED.”
I recently ordered my chief private investigator, who is a former FBI Investigative Specialist, named Charles “Chuck” Marler, to pull me a “COMPREHENSIVE REPORT” on Judge Joseph Laneth Guillory, II, the presiding Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, in Jefferson County.
According to former FBI Investigative Specialist Charles “Chuck” Marler, “Big City politics of bullying the courts may work in Houston, Texas, but it doesn’t work in Jefferson County, Texas.”
Marler’s comments come on the heels of the “RETALATORY CAMPAIGN,” launched against the Honorable Judge Joseph Laneth Guillory, II, after he placed a one-year “PEACE BOND” on the woman known as “Dr.” Candice Matthews, who is hell-bent on terrorizing citizens of the great State of Texas.
“Candice has reverted to “BLACK ON BLACK CRIME” to try and get her way,” explained Marler, who worked for the FBI for 16 years, learning all facets of the bureau’s complex operations, including evidence collection, radio communications, aviation surveillance, and Forward Looking Infra-Red (FLIR) technology.
Marler went on to state, “Candice didn’t get her way when she appeared before Judge Joseph Guillory, in this JP Court, and is now trying to smear a respected Black judge for not bowing to her whims and demands.”
He served as an Investigative Specialist for 12 years, a member of the Special Surveillance Group. He conducted, organized, and completed thousands of surveillances on Drug (as FLIR operator), Intelligence, and Terrorism targets.
After reviewing his “COMPREHENSIVE REPORT,” related to Judge Joseph Guillory, II, on assignment for Aubrey R. Taylor Communications, the publisher of the Houston Business Connections Newspaper©, our private investigator acknowledged a few hiccups.
“Long before he became a judge, Joseph Guillory owned a vehicle transport business,” according to the former FBI Investigative Specialist assigned to investigate Judge Guillory.
Marler informed Aubrey R. Taylor Communications that, “In 2001, Joseph Guillory pleaded guilty in Slidell, Louisiana, for a minor issue having to do with his trucking records.”
“From everything I’m looking at, Joseph L. Guillory paid the fine that was imposed upon him by the court, and took corrective actions by correcting his records,” explained Marler.
“GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS.”
After paying his fine and making immediate corrective measures, Joseph L. Guillory, II proceeded with operating his transport business in Katy, Texas, until the “GLOBAL 2008 FINANCIAL CRISIS” caused worldwide upheaval, and caused many Americans to lose their dreams and livelihoods.
It was during the “GLOBAL 2008 FINANCIAL CRISIS” that Joseph L. Guillory, II, was forced to file for bankruptcy, and walk through a wilderness period, as he struggled to rebuild his life, and restore his livelihood, after walking through the financial hardships he and other hardworking Americans endured.
“In 2008, during his bankruptcy, an unfortunate incident occurred between Joseph L. Guillory, II, and another gentleman, where an argument ensued,” said our former FBI investigative Specialist, who did a complete investigation into documents related to the incident.
According to our former FBI Investigative Specialist, he also reviewed the circumstances related to what happened on or about August 25, 2008, between Joseph Laneth Guillory, II, and another individual, which was unfortunate.
“During the incident in question, Joseph L. Guillory, II, was accused of causing minor damage to some sort of thick glass window, but that case got dismissed,” explained Marler.
In his assessment of Judge Joseph L. Guillory’s character, background, and judicial temperament, our former FBI Investigative Specialist informed me that he’s earned the right to continue to serve the people of Jefferson County, Texas.
“SOLID INVESTIGATOR.”
Former FBI Investigative Specialist Charles “Chuck” Marler participated in joint training operations with the DIA, DEA, JCTA, and CIA. He was an instructor and evaluator numerous times for the FBI’s surveillance training programs.
During his time with the bureau, Marler managed several FLIR System Operators while coordinating one of the FBI’s prominent FLIR programs. He also provided case guidance, became an expert in the operation and maintenance of FLIR equipment, and personally trained or supervised the training of his operators.
Under Charles’ leadership and guidance, the FLIR program conducted numerous successful operations against espionage subjects, suspected terrorism subjects, drug shipments, violent crime, and kidnapping searches.
Since 2008, Marler has been a co-owner of a private investigative firm based in Houston and has worked as a Private Investigator in Texas for the past four years, specializing in covert physical surveillance operations.
As a private investigator, he has performed complex criminal investigations and conducted surveillance operations involving workman’s compensation, child custody, drug use, theft, and the elusive but frequent cheating spouse.
“ACTIVIST OR TERRORIST?”
What do you think of when you hear the term community activist? Do you think of someone threatening to blow up schools with children inside?
Do you think of someone jumping in their car and driving from North Houston to the small town of Port Arthur, Texas, to rant, rave, cuss, and berate a law-abiding citizen when you think of a community activist?
What about driving to the home of a law-abiding citizen and threatening to blow up their car? Is that what you picture in your mind when you think of a community activist?
I don’t know about you, but when I think of a true “COMMUNITY ACTIVIST,” I think of a member of a community who gives tirelessly of themselves, in a voluntary capacity.
By definition, a “COMMUNITY ACTIVIST” is a member of a community who voluntarily works with others from that community to achieve aims and goals that make the community a better place to live, work, and play.
When you have a so-called “COMMUNITY ACTIVIST” charging victims and traumatized family members of victims exorbitant fees to discuss their issues, something has gone desperately wrong. Furthermore, victims may be subjected to further victimization if someone doesn’t step in and do something.
So, is the cowboy-hat-wearing “Dr.” Candice Matthews an activist or a modern-day terrorist? Is she an activist or a loud-mouth bully? A dignified woman who holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from several different prestigious universities, or worthless sheets of paper?
No, I am not here to talk about “Dr.” Candice Matthews and the many lies she has told to obtain licenses to run her child placement agency – the ship has sailed on that issue..
Nope. I won’t discuss my lengthy investigation into “Dr.” Candice Matthews or her education, which I’m 100% sure is fraudulent.
I don’t care whether “Dr.” Candice sues me again, and drops the lawsuit with prejudice, again, as she did several years ago. However, in the spirit of public concern, we must do something to stop this cowboy-hat-wearing bully from terrorizing law-abiding citizens, including members of the judiciary in Harris County, Jefferson County, Fort Bend County, Waller County, and other Texas counties and jurisdictions.
For the record, “Dr.” Candice Matthews does not hold degrees from any of the prestigious American universities she claimed to have degrees from as part of a child custody court proceeding related to CAUSE NO.: 2010-06089, in Harris County, Texas, a few years ago.
I no longer have a beef with “Dr.” Candice Matthews regarding her fraudulent court filings and transcripts. We settled our issue, and I’m good with that, and have moved on with my life.
If you recall, “Dr.” Candice Matthews reported that she had received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina in 2005, which turned out to be a bald-faced lie.
“Dr.” Candice Matthews also reported in the aforementioned court record that she had obtained a Master’s degree in Education from Temple University back in the year 2001, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Temple University back in the year 2000, which was also a bald-faced lie, submitted in court documents under penalty of perjury.
“ENTER RICKY JASON.”
The woman called “DR” Candice Matthews has allegedly been terrorizing the entire City of Port Arthur, Texas. She initially had a court date set to appear in a Port Arthur, Texas courtroom on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 1:30 P.M. to enter her plea of guilty or not guilty.
Community Activist Eligah “Ricky” Jason, a protégé of the late comedian, actor, writer, activist, and social critic Dick Gregory, has been living in fear for nearly a year.
Jason is still waiting to hear back from the Department of Justice (DOJ) regarding the complaint he filed on behalf of the victims of Quanell X and Candice Matthews, also known as “DR,” last year, after being threatened by Matthews.
The federal complaint filed by Jason stems from “DR” Candice Matthews allegedly threatening to bust the windows out of his car and blow up his home on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
At the time of the Wednesday, August 21, 2024, incident, “Dr.” Candice Matthews proclaimed that the Police Chief of Port Arthur, Texas (Timothy Duriso) and the Mayor of Port Arthur at the time of the incident (Thurman Bartie), were both her blood relatives, and were turning a blind-eye to her criminal activities.
After a quick inquiry into the matter by our investigative team, we determined that neither Timothy Duriso nor Thurman Bartie was a blood relative of “Dr.” Candice Matthews when she was captured on video threatening, harassing, and bullying her Eligah “Ricky” Jason, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, on the streets of Port Arthur, Texas.
“NOT BEING PEACEFUL.”
To keep the peace, Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, placed a “PEACE BOND” on “Dr.” Candice Matthews inside his courtroom on Wednesday, June 17, 2025.
In his order, Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, made Dr. Candice Matthews swear in open court that she will remain peaceful through Wednesday, June 17, 2026, when the “ONE-YEAR PEACE BOND” he placed against her will expire.
“I, CANDICE MATTHEWS, Respondent in this case, acknowledge that I have been ordered to post this Peace Bond. I swear that I will not commit the offense alleged in the attached Application, and that I will keep the peace toward Applicant and any others named in this bond. I acknowledge that failure to follow these conditions may result in forfeiture of the bond, as well as punishment, including confinement in jail, for contempt of court,” stated the “PEACE BOND,” document that “Dr.” Candice Matthews signed.
Since getting placed on a “ONE-YEAR PEACE BOND,” the woman known as “Dr.” Candice Matthews has verbally attacked Judge Joseph L. Guillory, II, and used all sorts of intimidation tactics to bully, harass, and belittle this honorable member of the judiciary.
“RE-ELECTION BID.”
It would be in the best interest of the people of Port Arthur, Texas, to ignore the “BULLY-TACTICS” being used by “Dr.” Candice Matthews, going forward into the 2026 Democratic Party Primary Election, scheduled for Tuesday, March 3, 2026.
Judge Joseph L. Guillory has done a fine job since being elected Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2 in the 2022 Midterm Election. That said, he will be running for re-election in the 2026 Midterms and has earned the right to serve a second term.

My experience as a former law enforcement officer, businessman, minister, and family man has shaped me into the leader I am today—grounded in faith, driven by compassion, and focused on service,” his website states.
“CLOSING THOUGHTS.”
From what I can see, Judge Laneth Guillory, II, the presiding Justice of the Peace for Precinct 2, in Jefferson County, Texas, is a man of tremendous restraint, a courageous man when it comes to performing his duties.
His life story is a shining example and testament of how one man persevered through short-term setbacks, in his personal life, financial life, during the “GLOBAL 2008 FINANCIAL CRISIS,” to earn the distinction of being called a Minister of Justice for the LORD!

Judge Kristen Hawkins is the presiding judge for the 11th Civil District Court in Harris County, Texas. Judge Hawkins was recently re-elected to her bench and will not be up for re-election until the 2028 Presidential Election. Judge Hawkins is an excellent judge who refrains from engaging in partisan political games within her courtroom.
