Alan D. Vera, the chairman of ballot security for the Harris County Republican Party died suddenly back on Thursday, May 4, 2023, before he was able to testify at the Texas Capital on "ELECTION FRAUD" in Harris County, Texas. Remember, Alan D. Vera, was also set to be a "KEY WITNESS" in nearly every one of the remaining (21) twenty-one GOP lawsuits that have been set for trial in Harris County, Texas. Because of his untimely death, the first trial between former Judge Erin Lunceford and current Judge Tamika "Tami" Craft has been moved from Monday, June 12, 2023, to Monday, July 31, 2023, to allow Lunceford's legal team the time to reorganize their case. Ironically, Vera was also a cofounder of True the Vote, along with Catherine Engelbrecht, before joining the Harris County Republican Party.

It’s one thing to possess the power to do to impeach a Texas
Attorney General in the legislative branch of government, but it’s something
else altogether to exercise that power. In an overwhelming 121, to 23 vote, Republican
Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been temporarily removed from office and
placed on an indefinite suspension, pending an impeachment trial in the Texas Senate.
Paxton’s impeachment last week in the Texas House has laid the
groundwork for a political civil war of sorts from within the Republican Party
of Texas during the upcoming Tuesday, March 5, 2024, Republican Party Primary,
no matter whether he’s acquitted in the Texas Senate, or not.
A new brand of politics appears to be sweeping through Texas these
days, one where some members of the Texas GOP are fearful that “RINOs” which
stands for “Republican in Name Only,” and “DINOs” which refers to “Democrats
in Name Only,” have forged some kind of sinister alliance.
Whatever the case, with each passing day, of the 88th
Texas Legislative Session, the State House of Representatives has become
completely unrecognizable. But how will this new alliance of “RINOs” and “DINOs”
impact the lives, of the Democratic and Republican lawmakers who voted to
impeach Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton once they return home and have to
face their angry constituents?
Are we even a free nation anymore? And what does freedom
mean anyways? In my opinion, Freedom by sheer definition is the ability to
think, act, and speak for myself without fear of reprisal, hindrance, or restraint,
from the government or anyone else.
Sometimes the truth hurts, but the truth of the matter is,
right now FREEDOM is under assault in the United States of America. When one
group can say whatever the hell they please, but other groups are silenced,
canceled, and vilified for exercising their “FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS” something
has gone desperately wrong. Democracy is running off the rails, and America is
at risk of derailment, very shortly if something doesn’t change.
If one person can say, “I don’t believe that biological boys
should be competing against girls in female sports,” another person is supposed
to be allowed to respectfully disagree. A loving father or mother of a female athlete
is supposed to be able to step forward and say, “I don’t want my daughter to have to compete against a biological boy.” But that’s not the way things are working
right now.
These days, the loving parent of female athletes all across
America are being forced to remain silent, or run the risk of being labeled a
homophobe, for simply speaking their minds – that’s not right!!!
What type of world are we living in? What’s right is being called
wrong. And wrong is being labeled as right in America these days. And if you
ask me, this practice must be abolished immediately!
The First Amendment to our United States Constitution says
that Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or
prohibiting its free exercise. But, today, a GOD-FEARING person can’t read the Bible
to a child in a public school setting; but a man dressed up like a woman can read
almost any type of sexually explicit book he/she desires to read to our school-aged
children at public libraries during Drag Queen Story Hour.
No matter which side of the coin you look at, after you flip
it into the air, whether the coin shows heads or tails, seems to be dependent upon
who’s flipping the coin in the air.
The First Amendment to our United States Constitution is
supposed to protect our rights to freedom of speech, the press, assembly, and
the right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. But people are
being canceled for speaking their minds. This is not the way things are
supposed to work in America – we’ve lost our way!!!
If you have a right to be “FOR” something, I have a right to
be “AGAINST” the thing you are advocating for. That’s how things are supposed
to work in the United States of America.
Now, to be blunt about it, my ancestors paid a heavy price
to win my freedom back during the American Civil War, but they didn’t do it
without the help of other ethnic groups fighting alongside them. In fact, it
was President Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United
States of America who led the Union through the Civil War and successfully
defended “THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION” which led to my ancestors gaining
their freedom.
Juneteenth is about that struggle. In my opinion, Juneteenth
is a perfect learning lesson as it relates to the importance of information
being allowed to freely flow throughout Texas uninhibited. Remember, the rest
of America had already been free for more than two years by the time FREEDOM
finally arrive for over 250,000 Texas slaves.
For the record, FREEDOM finally made its way into Texas back
on June 19, 1865, when some 2,000 Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay, Texas.
According to historians, and the Texas GOP, shortly thereafter, during the
Reconstruction period, over 44 African Americans were serving in the
Texas legislature.
Today, only 16 African Americans serve in the Texas House of Representatives, and only two serve in the Texas Senate. So,
in essence, African Americans, have regressed, rather than progressed, from a
political perspective since the Reconstruction era.
President Abraham Lincoln was a moderate Republican, thus he
frequently found himself having to push back against the extremist factions that
were deeply entrenched in the far-left flanks of the Democratic Party, and the far-right
flanks of the Republican Party – which appears to be the same sort of conundrum
Texas is now facing with the indictment of Attorney General Ken Paxton on
Saturday, May 27, 2023, in the State House of Representatives.
So, what does freedom really mean in the grand scheme of
things? That’s a scary question in some respects from the vantage point where I’m
sitting. However, as a “FREE BLACK MAN” having to navigate my way through these
turbulent political times, I find myself bewilder in a sense.
I know that I have a blood-bought right to freely speak my
mind, but sometimes freely speaking isn’t the best thing to do – in the
divisive political climate we’re living in. That being said, do I really have the right to speak my mind? That’s a serious question. Why? Well, some days, I feel
like speaking my mind, and freely publishing my thoughts about politicians could
be bad for my health.
