Rodney Ellis and Mike Doyle Are Failing Local Democrat Judges; Those Soft on Crime Attack Ads Must Be Answered

Mike Doyle (left) continues to take in donations from "DOWN-BALLOT" Democratic Judicial Candidates and transfer their money to his Federal PAC. Local "DEMOCRAT JUDGES" are making their hard-earned contributions to the Harris County Democratic Party, "STOP HOUSTON MURDERS PAC" continues airing a relentless assault of political attack ads on local network TV stations, cable stations, radio stations, and YOUTUBE" while Mike Doyle, and Democratic Party leaders like Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis hoard campaign cash, and leave local "DEMOCRAT JUDGES" to fend for themselves. FOLLOW THE MONEY... The Harris County Democratic Party has $368,011.82 in the bank. Harris Commissioner Rodney Ellis has $$6,442,550.00 in the bank. The "STOP HOUSTON MURDERS PAC" has $1,231,338.00 in the bank to continue running their attack advertisements through Tuesday, November 5, 2024. (CLICK HERE) View our "2024 ENDORSEMENT SLATE," which is nonpartisan.

Stop Houston Murders PAC still has $1,231,338.00 in its war chest to continue running "ATTACK ADS" against local "DEMOCRAT JUDGES" who are up for reelection. Why isn't Mike Doyle and the Harris County Democratic Party defending local "DOWN-BALLOT DEMOCRATS" against these misleading political attack ads? And why isn't Commissioner Rodney Ellis supporting the "BLACK JUDGES" like he supported County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Commissioner Lesley Briones when he gave them $100,000.00 to help them win during the 2022 Midterm Election?

Rodney Ellis and Mike Doyle Are Failing Local Democrat Judges; Those Soft on Crime Attack Ads Must Be Answered

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

I’m not sure what’s going on with Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party. Our boy Mike is making a huge tactical blunder by not developing a strategy to offset those “STOP HOUSTON MURDERS PAC” advertisements currently running on Television stations and online.

From the outside looking in, it’s starting to look like Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, and other Democratic leaders like Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis are planning to leave the local “DEMOCRATIC JUDGES” to fend for themselves against these powerful attack ads that are diminishing their chances to earn victories on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas – come on guys.

Local sitting judges should not be responsible for fighting off a “SUPER PAC” with their limited campaign funds. Where is Commissioner Rodney Ellis? Isn’t Commissioner Rodney Ellis a Democrat? Why hasn’t Mike Doyle called on Commissioner Rodney Ellis to do more to help local “DOWN-BALLOT DEMOCRAT JUDGES” as he helped County Judge Lina Hidalgo and Commissioner Lesley Briones when he was trying to stack Commissioners Court back during the 2022 Midterm Election?

Based on the campaign finance report that Commissioner Rodney Ellis filed on 10/07.2024, he has $6,442,550.00 sitting inside his campaign bank account. What this means is that Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis (alone) has more money in the bank than “THE STOP HOUSTON MURDERS PAC,” but Commissioner Ellis, (nor Mike Doyle), are lifting a finger to help their “DOWN-BALLOT” judicial nominees fight off the barrage of attacks.

As for Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party and treasurer of the same, he’s lost – just like he was during the Harris Central Appraisal District elections a few months ago.

Taking all of the money being donated to the local Harris County Democratic Party and transferring it to the “FEDERAL PAC” isn’t a brilliant political strategy – it’s foolish.

When is someone going to step up and answer those “SOFT ON CRIME” ads that are airing against local Democrat judges? At the very least, someone should be informing the public that “CIVIL DISTRICT COURT JUDGES” don’t have anything to do with the crime rate or murders taking place in Harris County, Texas.

In essence, Judge Kristen Brauchie Hawkins, Judge Fredericka Phillips, Judge Jeralynn Manor, Judge Michael Gomez, Judge Cheryl Elliott Thornton, and Judge Elaine Palmer are getting lumped in with something that they’ve got nothing to do with.

“ATTACK ADS.”

The last time I checked, the online version of the YOUTUBE ad attacking local “DEMOCRAT JUDGES,” featuring Aimee Castillo, had 1,082,218 views – a lot. With “EARLY VOTING” beginning on Monday, October 21, 2024, it’s inexcusable for Commissioner Rodney Ellis to sit back with $6 million in the bank and do nothing.

It’s also unfair for Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, to be taking donations from local “JUDICIAL CANDIDATES” and not answer the attack ads running on local airwaves against his “JUDICIAL NOMINEES,” who have given the local Democratic Party thousand upon thousands of dollars in donations.

“CLOSING THOUGHTS.”

I’m imploring local Harris County voters to ignore those misleading “ATTACK ADS” airing on TV stations and being broadcast on YOUTUBE and make an informed voting decision on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas. Judge Israel Garcia, Judge Jeralynn Manor, Judge Fredericka Phillips, Judge Cheryl Elliott Thornton, Judge Tracy D. Good, Mike Knox, Dan Simons, and a host of other “DOWN-BALLOT CANDIDATES” endorsed by Houston Business Connections Newspaper© need your support.

As you can see above, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis is known for supporting "DOWN-BALLOT DEMOCRATS," like Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo ($100,000.00 loan), Harris County Commissioner Lesley Briones ($100,000.00 loan), and Judge Darrell Jordan ($5,000.00), campaign donation. So, why hasn't Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis stepped up to the plate to help local "DOWN-BALLOT DEMOCRATS" fight off the barrage of attacks from the "STOP HOUSTON MURDERS PAC" during this political cycle?
