Mayor Turner’s Alleged Boyfriend from the 1990s, Michael Harris has been linked to the $470 Million Food and Beverage Contract
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
In the 11 to 6 vote that took place earlier today, regarding the 10-year, $470 million food and beverage contract appears to be raising a lot of eyebrows already. In case you don't know, Councilmember Letitia Plummer, Councilmember Carolyn Evans-Shabazz, Councilmember Dave Martin, Councilmember Tiffany Thomas, Councilmember Karla Cisneros, Councilmember Tarsha Jackson, Councilmember Abbie Kamin, Councilmember Ed Pollard, Councilmember Martha Castex-Tatum, and Councilmember David Robinson, all joined Mayor Sylvester Turner in casting their vote to give Areas USA the $470 million dollar contract."MUST BE INVESTIGATED."
Something stinks about what’s unfolding with this $470
million deal to take the food and beverage spaces at Hobby Airport away from
Pappas Restaurants and give it to Areas USA. Remember, there are two people tied
to Areas SAU, with direct ties to Mayor Sylvester Turner, who is as crooked as
all outdoors.
Michael Harris, a local attorney’s name has surfaced, and
Helen Giddings, a Democrat from the Desoto, Texas area served with Mayor Turner
back when he was in the legislature during the 1990s.
Something doesn’t smell right, and to be honest, I knew it
from the very beginning. Attorney Michael Harris has been lurking around
Houston City Hall politics for years. And it doesn’t surprise me one bit
that he would have his hand tied to this contract.
“In the later part of 1990, I met Sergeant Michael Harris,
who is an airport police officer at the Intercontinental Airport, through
Sylvester,” said his wife Cheryl Gillum Turner, when she was filing for divorce
from Sylvester back in November of 1991.
Cheryl Turner went on to say, “It was not until much later
that I learned about their close relationship.”
“I learned that Michael Harris placed my full-length coat in
Foley’s storage under the direction of Sylvester, however, I do not know the
reason for that,” she explained.
According to Sylvester Turner’s wife at the time, “Michael
Harris also took a check to Ora Alfred, who is our Accountant, to pay quarterly
taxes. He informed Ora that he was always with Sylvester and that he takes care
of Sylvester’s business.”
“Sylvester also provided him with a Thrifty rental car that
was loaned to the campaign,” she explained, speaking of Sylvester Turner’s
failed bid to become Mayor of Houston back in 1991.
Mayor Sylvester Turner’s wife, Cheryl Gillum Turner had
suspicions that Michael Harris (the man about to get a piece of the $470
million food and beverage contract of having a sexual relationship with Sylvester
Turner back during the 1990s.
“I suspect that Harris and Sylvester have a sexual
relationship,” she said in “THE AFFIDAVIT” she signed under penalty of perjury
back on November 13, 1991. Are Sylvester and Michael still having an affair?
It’s difficult to tell what’s really going on between
attorney Michael Harris and Mayor Sylvester Turner these days. However, after
many weeks of delay, Mayor Turner and city council members are set to decide on one of the most lucrative contracts ever.
So, in the end, I guess only time will tell what role Mayor
Turner’s former boyfriend from the 1990s will play in the $470 million
contract, and whether or not any of the $470 million will make its way back to
“Sly” once he leaves office, on January 1, 2024.
Stay tuned. This story is still developing.
