Judge Amy Martin Stopped D.A. Kim Ogg from Charging Damien Thaddeus Jones with a Felony in the 263rd Criminal Court

"Lady justice has a blindfold on for a reason guys. Why is Lady Justice blindfolded? Well, she's blindfolded because everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. And because our judges are not supposed to legislate from the bench, or make rulings based on the ethnicity, socio-economic status, political associations, or gender of the people who come before them. After all, our judges are in many cases the last line of defense for people who are accused of crimes. That's why I was so happy when I saw Judge Amy Martin (center), the presiding judge for the 263rd Criminal District Court reject the attempt by the Harris County District Attorney's Office to get Democratic Political Consultant Damien Thaddeus Jones into felony court. But, my excitement was quickly met with dismay when I saw that Damien's case was transferred to Judge Genesis Draper's courtroom. I mean, there are (16) sixteen Harris County Criminal Court's At Law, and Damien's case just so happened to end up being placed in the courtroom of the only judge out of (16) sixteen that was appointed to the bench by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis? I mean -- really? Anyways, thank God for Judge Amy Martin!!! In case you don't know, the Honorable Judge Amy Martin, after reviewing the indictments against Damien Thaddeus Jones concluded that, "Upon review of the indictment delivered to this Court in the above-captioned cause, the Court finds that the offense alleged in that indictment is a misdemeanor which does not involve official misconduct or official oppression, and that the Court therefore lacks jurisdiction to conduct further proceedings in this case."

"Thank God for Judge Amy Martin, the presiding judge for the 263rd Criminal District Court in Harris County, Texas. Judge Martin held true to her oath of office and did not play into party politics. We need more judges like the Honorable Judge Amy Martin on the bench. Our judges take an oath of office before they take the bench. And they swear before God (not Rodney Ellis) that they will administer justice without respect to persons. And our judges also swear to do equal right to the poor and to the rich, and that they will faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon them under the United States Constitution and laws that govern us as a free nation. So, it's incumbent upon us to elect judges to the bench in Harris County, Texas who are strong, experienced, courageous, and committed to fairness and justice for everyone who enters their courtroom."

"Maybe it was just a coincidence or something. But I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how the case of Democratic Political Consultant Damien Thaddeus Jones ended up in Harris County Criminal Court at Law No.12. Something about this maneuver just doesn't feel right if you ask me. At one point I really liked Judge Genesis Draper. But something just does not feel right about Damien having to appear in the criminal court of the one judge who was appoint by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis. I'm telling you right now -- something does not smell right!"

Gina Calanni is the former State Representative for House District 132. She's also the woman who Democratic Political Consultant Damien Thaddeus Jones supposedly threatened to harm the reputation of in the indictment you see below!

The language in the indictment against Damien Jones states, “The duly organized Grand Jury of Harris County, Texas, presents in District Court of Harris County, Texas, that in Harris County, Texas Damien Thaddeus Jones, hereafter styled the Defendant, heretofore on or about December 2, 2019, did then and there unlawfully, with the intent to defraud harm, make a call or engage in conduct using technology that resulted in the display on another person’s telecommunications devise of data that misrepresented the defendant’s telephone number, namely: the Defendant sent text message from the Defendant’s cell phone to the cell phone of the Complainant, Gina Calanni, using an app that temporarily disguised the Defendant’s cell phone number and the text message threatened to harm the reputation of the Complainant.

District Attorney Kim Ogg waited until after she had secured her re-election bid to indict Democratic Political Consultant Damien Jones. In case you don't know, her plan was to get a felony placed on the back of Democratic Political Consultant Damien Jones was stopped by Judge Amy Martin, the presiding judge for the 263rd Criminal District Court in Harris County, Texas.

Kim Ogg's Attempt to Get Democratic Political Consultant Damien Jones into Felony Court Failed

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

I am sure that many of you don't know that initially the Harris County District Attorney's Office tried to get Democratic political consultant Damien Jones into the 263rd District Court -- which is a felony court. However, thanks to Judge Amy Martin, who is a great judge, after reviewing the indictments against Damien Thaddeus Jones, she stated, "Upon review of the indictment delivered to this Court in the above-captioned cause, the Court finds that the offense alleged in that indictment is a misdemeanor which does not involve official misconduct or official oppression, and that the Court therefore lacks jurisdiction to conduct further proceedings in this case." This honorable judge, who also happens to be a Democrat, went on to say, "It is therefore ORDERED that the indictment presented to this Court in the above-captioned cause be transferred to a county criminal court at law pursuant to articles 21.26 and 21.28 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, and assigned to a particular county criminal court at law under a new cause number in keeping with the local rules and general orders of the Harris County criminal courts."

Damien Thaddeus Jones, flanked by former Congressman Beto O’Rourke and Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis is the Chairman of the Urban Justice and Equity Pac, a non-partisan political action committee focused on building African American political power throughout the state of Texas. In case you don’t know, Damien Thaddeus Jones is a seasoned political strategist, and U.S. Air Force veteran who has been making some serious moves in Harris County politics over the last several years. According to Damien Thaddeus Jones, he served as Rodney Ellis' security driver before leaving Houston, Texas, and moving to Washington D.C. prior to landing his deal with the Beto O'Rourke for United States Senate Campaign.

Former Congressman Beto O'Rourke is to date the biggest client Damien Thaddeus Jones has ever landed in his young career as a political consultant. But Beto has nothing whatsoever to do with the indictments against Jones in any way, shape, or form.

Damien Thaddeus Jones was very protective of Former Congressman Beto O'Rourke back when he ran for the United States Senate against Sen. Ted Cruz. But Beto has nothing whatsoever to do with the indictments against Jones in any way, shape, or form.

Damien Thaddeus Jones did a very good job representing former U.S. Congressman Beto O'Rourke back during the 2018 Midterms. And prior to being indicted back in 2020, Damien Thaddeus Jones had been making some serious waves in Harris County, Texas. Believe it or not, I’ve been watching this cat do his thing for some time now. And to be honest, I was starting to get a little impressed with what I’ve been seeing from him.

"Please keep Damien and his wife Courtney in your prayers as they work through this difficult situation that threatens to ruin Damien's career. And above all else, Damien Thaddeus Jones should be presumed innocent until he's proven guilty."

HARRIS COUNTY POLITICS IS BRUTAL

For all of you who don’t know, Damien Thaddeus Jones’ podcast (Damien Jones Podcast) reaches a diverse audience from all across America. And according to his website, he is regularly called upon as a keynote speaker and by the media for his innovative opinions on politics, popular culture, leadership, and social justice – I can attest to this. Like I said, I’ve been keeping a close eye on this cat for the better part of a year now. And over the years, Damien has been slowly and methodically moving up the ranks – seemingly all by himself. That’s what I like about what he’s been doing, but like with most of the young cats getting into the political game, he does not understand fully how this political game is being played. Now, that’s not to say that Damien Thaddeus Jones isn’t smart – that’s not at all what I’m saying. However, what I’m trying to say here, is that Damien Thaddeus Jones is ignorant; but not in literal terms. He’s ignorant, or should I say, he’s got a lot to learn about the inner-workings of Harris County, Texas politics. Now, that’s not to say that he’s not guilty of Coercion of a Public Servant and using a False Caller Identification Information Display to send an anonymous threat to then-State Rep. Gina Calanni in an attempt to coerce her into resigning her position as the state representative for House District 132 – as Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg alleges in her indictment. But rather, it is to say, that I am imploring everyone reading this report, to reserve judgment on Damien Thaddeus Jones until after he’s had a chance to defend himself in court.

ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL

In case you don’t know, Damien Thaddeus Jones is Chair of Urban Justice and Equity Pac, a non-partisan political action committee focused on building African American political power in Texas according to his website. He’s a seasoned political strategist, U.S. Air Force veteran, and efficient problem solver, and someone who deploys faith, politics, and civic engagement as tools to empower everyday people his website states.

For all of you who don’t know, Damien Thaddeus Jones is also an award-winning leader, who cut his teeth as a grassroots activist in Houston as co-founder of the civil rights group Houston Justice and over the years has evolved into a national advocate for liberty and justice for all communities, according to his website, that you can visit to learn more about him.

His website also states that he’s an Environmental Justice Advocate for the Union of Concerned Scientists, and has led campaigns related to criminal justice reform, climate justice, and environmental racism. His website also states that he served as program coordinator of the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Leadership Institute where he prepared the next generation for activism and influencing public policy. The site also states that Damien Thaddeus Jones has also served as Political Outreach Director for Congressman Beto O'Rourke's wildly popular U.S. Senate campaign back in 2018.

"My client, Damien Jones, is deeply dismayed by the fraudulent and laughable charges levied against him today. He never has or ever will engage in any type of election fraud. Let's be clear, he proudly speaks truth to power in a way that empowers those who are overlooked in our communities, and in politics that has put an unfair target on his back."

Commissioner Rodney Ellis (far left) is the reason Genesis E. Draper is a judge today! However, Judge Genesis E. Draper (second from left) got the fewest number of votes of any local judicial candidate running countywide back on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, in Harris County, Texas. Yes, the 814,811 total votes received by Judge Genesis Draper were the fewest received by any of the local countywide Democratic judicial candidates. And in case you don’t already know, Judge Genesis Draper will be right back on the ballot in the 2022 Midterm Election -- and she's vulnerable. So, please don’t forget that, the deadline to sign up for a place on the 2022 Midterm Election ballot is Monday, December 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM for Democrats and Republicans. If you’re a former judge or local attorney, you should look for the weakest candidates first! The early voting period for the 2022 Midterm Election will begin on Monday, February 14, 2022, and end on Friday, February 25, 2022. And the 2022 Democratic and Republican primaries will take place on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in Harris County, Texas. Oh, and it's kind of funny how the case of "WHISTLEBLOWER" Damien Thaddeus Jones found it's way into Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 12 -- Judge Genesis Drapers Court when there are (16) sixteen County Criminal Courts at Law in Harris County, Texas. Of the (16) sixteen misdemeanor court judges -- Judge Genesis Draper is the only one who was placed on the bench by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis.

Judge Draper Was Placed on the Bench by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis after the Untimely Death of Judge Hollemon

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Let me be clear here – Judge Genesis Draper was placed on the bench as judge of Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 12 by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, and Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia. However, she wasn’t Commissioner Ellis’ first choice to fill the voice left in the aftermath of Judge Cassandra Hollemon’s untimely death. Believe it or not, from the way I understand it, initially Commissioner Rodney Ellis and his cohorts were going to fill the vacancy with a Hispanic judge. Why didn’t they do it? Well, from the way that I understand it, the plan to fill the vacancy left by the untimely death of Judge Cassandra Hollemon (a Black woman) with a Hispanic female didn’t go over well with the sitting African American female judges who ran their races along with the late Judge Cassandra Hollemon as part of the “BLACK GIRL MAGIC” campaign. So, in essence, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, and Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia settled on Judge Genesis Draper. Thus far, I think Judge Genesis Draper has done a respectable job serving as a judge. However, the stakes are very high for the misdemeanor cases involving “WHISTLEBLOWER” Damien Thaddeus Jones that has somehow found their way into the one misdemeanor courtroom where the judge was appointed by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and his cohorts. I say somehow because there are (16) sixteen misdemeanor county courts in Harris County, Texas – but somehow after not being able to get “WHISTLEBLOWER” Damien Thaddeus Jones on felony charges in Judge Amy Martin’s 263rd Criminal District Court – the cases found their way in Judge Genesis Draper’s court. Can you believe this? Doesn’t this sound a little too coincidental? Do you think that Damien is going to get a fair trial in Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 12? I mean really?

Damien Jones Explains How Rodney Ellis Goes About Making People His Puppets

In the audio recording above, “WHISTLBLOWER” Damien Thaddeus Jones talks about how he rejected an offer extended to him by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis – who is essentially Judge Genesis Draper’s boss. Toward the middle of the audio recording you will hear “WHISTLBLOWER” Damien Thaddeus Jones talk about Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis’ farm system and how Ellis approached him after Damien’s success while working on former Congressman Beto O’Rourke’ failed United States Senate campaign – against U.S. Senator Ted Cruz. So, as you listen to the audio recording please pay very close attention to the part where “WHISTLEBLOWER” Damien Thaddeus Jones talks about how once a person get’s under his thumb they’re always under his thumb.

Judge Genesis Draper will be right back on the ballot in the 2022 Midterm Election. So, please don’t forget that, the deadline to sign up for a place on the 2022 Midterm Election ballot is Monday, December 13, 2021 at 6:00 PM for Democrats and Republicans. COMMISSIONER ELLIS IS HER BOSS

Believe it or not, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, the guy “WHISTLEBLOWER” Damien Jones was talking about in the audio recording above, is in a technical sense the guy who is directly responsible for placing Judge Genesis Draper on the bench back in 2019. A few other functions he and his cohorts on commissioner’s court are responsible for includes, but is not limited to, serving as the main governing body for all of Harris County, Texas. In case you don’t know the commissioner’s court, according to published reports is also responsible for adopting its budget, setting tax rates, calling for bond elections, building and maintaining roads and bridges, setting boundaries for voting precincts, and overseeing public libraries and parks – and like I said, overseeing county courthouses too.

The “Sisterhood Series” Features 70 Powerful Texas Women You Should Know Who Are Doing Their Own Thing

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

I would like to take this moment to introduce our “SISTERHOOD SERIES” to you. This empowerment movement is being launched to highlight a few powerful Texas women who are doing their own thing in legal, political, and public relations fields throughout the Lone Star State. Now, while this powerful group of women is being brought to you as a corporate body, our “SISTERHOOD SERIES” should not be misconstrued as identity/gender politics in any way, shape, or form. Why? Well, all of the featured women in this series are (in their own unique way) some of the best and brightest women in America. So, recognizing these women as part of our SISTERHOOD SERIES” is our way of applauding each of them for their courage, tenacity, and ability to compete in what has traditionally been a man’s world.

TRUTH OF THE MATTER

If we’re honest with ourselves, we all know that women are still fighting an uphill battle in politics as well as inside boardrooms across America. So, let's not forget – it wasn’t long ago that women were guaranteed the right to vote. In case you don’t know, the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote was only the beginning of a much longer fight that women are continuing to fight on the campaign trail, in board rooms, and while living their everyday lives.

A VERY UNIQUE BOND

Each segment of our “SISTERHOOD SERIES” will highlight a “FEATURED SPONSOR” on the cover, and sixty-nine sitting incumbent Democratic and Republican members of the judiciary inside. So, as a community of women, each of the sixty-nine women featured as the “BODY OF THE SERIES” are linked together by their common successes in the rough and tumble world of Texas politics. Now, you can bet your bottom dollar, that some of these women will be endorsed by Houston Business Connections Newspaper©, in 2022 and 2024 “ELECTION GUIDES” when they appear on the ballot. However, unfortunately, some of these women will not make the cut. So, please do not forget that the deadline to run for political office in the “2022 MIDTERM ELECTIONS” is on Monday, December 13, 2021, in Texas. And, if you are a woman or man who is planning to run for office in 2022, you must sign up by Monday, December 13, 2021, at 6:00 pm. So, if you are not sure, what position you should run for in the Democratic Party Primary or Republican Party Primary, please call (281)788-3033, and I will try to assist you in any way I can.

MINISTERS OF JUSTICE

Every judge in America takes an oath of office and solemnly swears that they will administer justice without respect to persons and that they will do equal right to the poor and to the rich alike. So, the “MINISTERS OF JUSTICE” you see listed below, have all promised to faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon them under the United States Constitution and the laws that govern us as a free nation when they were elected. And each of them did so before the LORD God Almighty. Now, that being said, nowhere in their promise was their political party affiliation, sorority, socio-economic status, or ethnicity mentioned. So, let’s do our best going forward, to elect the “BEST AND BRIGHTEST” women and men who are committed to handing out even-handed justice to every person who enters their courtroom.

Nominating the Wrong Candidates on "SUPER TUESDAY" Could Have Disastrous Consequences in the November 2022 General Election in Harris County

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Make no mistake about it, who the people of Harris County, Texas choose to give another term to in 2022 must be about substance, job performance, judicial temperament, competence, and whether or not our members of the judiciary are following the law with their rulings. And that being said, in 2022, it is incumbent upon the voters of Harris County to evaluate the job performance of each and every sitting "ELECTED OFFICIAL" on a case-by-case basis and not as a group based on their political party affiliation, ethnicity, or gender.

THINKING ABOUT RUNNING?

If you are a candidate planning to run for office in 2022, you have to select the right candidate to run against. And the second most important thing to understand is that you have to select your race early, to avoid ending up in a crowded field of candidates on "SUPER TUESDAY" in Harris County, Texas. So, if you need assistance trying to determine which race to enter, please call (281)788-3033, and I will do my very best to answer any questions you may have.
