Rafael Galvan is running for Houston City Council District J; But Former Mayor Annise Parker has Endorsed Nelvin Adriatico

Rafael Galvan is running for Houston City Council District J on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. However, Nelvin Adriatico is the candidate endorsed by former Houston Mayor Annise Parker in the race for Houston City Council District J on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. Former Houston Mayor Annise Parker chose Nelvin Adriatico over Andrew "Drew" Patterson, Barry Curtis, Sandra Rodriguez, Federico "Freddie" Cuellar II, Edward Pollard and Rafael Galvan respectfully.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

As the race for Houston City Council District J heats up, Nelvin Adriatico, a local businessman is a candidate to keep a close eye on as the early voting period draws nearer. His campaign is definitely on an upward trajectory in my opinion. And the endorsement he just received from Former Houston Mayor Annise Parker is certainly going to give his campaign a boost going down the home stretch."I’ve known Nelvin for many years and have seen him in action—he’s a tireless volunteer, a champion of neighborhoods and a steadfast friend to those in need. He’s the kind of person who should be running to represent “the Ellis Island” of Houston,” said former Houston Mayor Annise Parker in her endorsement letter. In case you don't know, former City of Houston Mayor Annise Parker endorsed Nelvin Adriatico over six other candidates vying for the open "DISTRICT J" seat. On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, Nelvin Adriatico will faceoff against Andrew "Drew" Patterson, Barry Curtis, Sandra Rodriguez, Federico "Freddie" Cuellar II, Edward Pollard and Rafel Galvan in a race that I believe is headed for a December runoff. So don't forget that Nelvin Adriatico is asking for "OUR" vote, prayers and support.

DON'T FORGET TO VOTE EARLY

Please be reminded that Nelvin Adriatico is the only candidate in the race for Houston City Council District J who is asking for your vote at this time. You can vote early for Nelvin Adriatico at any early voting location. On Election Day, all Houston City Council District J voters will be allowed to vote for Nelvin Adriatico at any polling location.

LET’S RISE TOGETHER

“Like many residents of District J, I have struggled in my pursuit of the American Dream. As the son of a teacher, I learned the value of hard work from a young age. As a business leader, I learned the importance of creating good-paying jobs. For the past 20 years, I have dedicated myself to working with non-profits to better our community. With your support, I want to continue to work my hardest for my neighbors as your next Councilman, thank you and God bless.”

In case you don’t remember, in a head-to-head “ENDORSEMENT SHOWDOWN” candidates endorsed by a “select group” of Houston Business Connections Newspaper© readers performed significantly better than those endorsed by the Houston Chronicle editorial board back in the Tuesday, November 8, 2016, Presidential Election as Democrats rolled to historic countywide victories over their Republicans counterparts in what, at the time, was the worst defeat ever for the Harris County Republican Party in its 71-year history.

As a refresher, there were sixty-seven (67) races where a “select group” of Houston Business Connections Newspaper© readers went head-to-head against the Houston Chronicle editorial board. Fifty-one (51) of the sixty-seven (67) candidates endorsed by Houston Business Connections Newspaper© (in the head-to-head contest) back in the 2016 Presidential Election won their respective races on election night. By contrast, only thirty-eight (38) of the sixty-seven (67) candidates endorsed by the Houston Chronicle editorial board (in these key races) won their respective races back on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, in the Presidential Election as it relates specifically to Harris County, Texas.
