Saturday, December 8, 2018 Mayoral Runoff Election Information for Missouri City, Texas Provided by Mayor Allen Owen and Susan Soto



Mayor Allen Owen (second from left) and Susan Soto (second from right) are both asking for the vote of every eligible Missouri City, Texas voter! Early voting will begin on Monday, November 26, 2018, and end on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. But you must keep in mind that there will only be two early voting locations for the runoff election. The Missouri City Community Center located at 1522 Texas Parkway in Missouri City, Texas 77489, and Quail Valley Fund Office located at 3603 Glenn Lakes in Missouri City, Texas 77459 will be open for early voting Monday, November 26, 2018, through Friday, November 30, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; on Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and on Monday, December 4, 2018 and Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for your convenience.

It’s hard to fathom a Missouri City without the honorable and beloved Mayor Allen Owen at the helm of the Show Me City. After all, he and his wife Jane, have made Missouri City home for more than 40 years. They both love the Show Me City, dearly. “I’ve dedicated my life as a committed husband, father, business leader/builder and civic volunteer to make Missouri City the best city imaginable,” says Mayor Allen Owen. But if he is to remain, mayor, Missouri City voters must turnout, and turnout strong on Saturday, December 8, 2018, to make sure that he's allowed the opportunity to keep this great city moving forward.


RUNOFF ELECTION DAY PRECINCTS AND POLLING PLACES FOR ELIGIBLE VOTERS RESIDING IN FORT BEND COUNTY

Eligible Missouri City voters residing in Fort Bend County: Missouri City Precinct No. 1: Those portions of Fort Bend County election Precinct Nos. 1109, 2033, 2050, 2059, 2061, 2075, 2077, 2078, 2081, 2089, 2090, 2091, 2092, 2093, 2108, 2112, 2115, 2136, 2151, 2157, 4028, 4030, 4049, 4062, 4065, and 4127 located within the City.

Missouri City Precinct No. 2: That portion of Harris County election Precinct No. 506 located within the City. 

On Election Day, Missouri City Harris County voters must vote in their precinct where registered to vote from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Election Day (Saturday, December 8, 2018) polling place is as follows: Fondren Park Community Center -- 11800 McLain Boulevard Houston, Texas 77071.

Congressman Al Green has Endorsed Mayor Allen Owen over his Challenger Fred Taylor in the 2018 race for Mayor of Missouri City



Congressman Al Green has endorsed Mayor Allen Owen in the Tuesday, November 6, 2018 race for Mayor of Missouri City, Texas. So don't forget that Mayor Allen Owen is asking for all registered Missouri City, Texas voters to cast their ballot for him during the early voting period. And in case you don't already know, early voting will begin on Monday, October 22, 2018, and end on Friday, November 2, 2018. At this time, the only opponent who has signed up to run against Mayor Allen Owen is Fred Taylor, the guy he (Mayor Allen Owen) beat the last time around. To bring you up to speed, back on Saturday, May 7, 2016, Mayor Allen Owen received 2,134 “EARLY VOTES” and Fred G. Taylor received 1,334 “EARLY VOTES”. And on “ELECTION DAY” a total of 925 voters went to the polls to cast their ballot for Mayor Allen Owen in Missouri City, Texas. Comparatively speaking, on “ELECTION DAY” a total of 755 voters went to the polls in Missouri City, Texas to cast their ballot for Fred G. Taylor. So, Mayor Owen emerged victorious in his last showdown with Fred G. Taylor by garnering a total of 3,059 overall votes.. However, his feisty challenger managed to garner 2,089 overall votes to only lose to Mayor Allen Owen by a mere 970 votes.

Mayor Allen Owen is running for re-election in Missouri City, Texas on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. If you live in Missouri City, Texas and want to run for office on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, the filing period started back on Saturday, July 21, 2018, and will close on Monday, August 20, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. sharp. The race for Mayor of Missouri City, Texas, Councilmember At-Large Position No. 1, and Councilmember At-Large Position No. 2 will be on the ballot this coming November. 




Mayor Allen Owen and his wife Jane have been married for more than 50 years. And they’ve spent over 40 of those years serving the people of Missouri City, Texas. I can assure you that they both love “The Show Me City,” dearly. As for Mayor Allen Owen, well, he's dedicated his life to being a committed husband, father, business and civic leader in the city he loves. However, back during the October 17, 2016, regular Missouri City, Texas Council meeting, Councilmembers voted 4-3 to approve a resolution that moved Missouri City's general election from May to November. Thus, Mayor Allen Owen needs the vote of every registered voter who lives within the boundaries of Missouri City, Texas to remain in office. So, please, please, please, remind all your family, friends, co-workers, and associates that early voting will begin on Monday, October 22, 2018, and end on Friday, November 2, 2018.”
