Molly Donated $1,000.00, Lauren Paid $750.00, Judge Phillips Donated $47,000.00, and Judge Manor Donated $44,500.00

State Senator Molly Cook (far left) and State Rep. Elect Lauren Ashley Simmons (second left) are two openly gay females. For some strange reason, Cook and Simmons were selected as faces of the "2024 VICTORY CAMPAIGN" for the Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP) and allowed to take a free ride using money that was donated to (HCDP) by the "BLACK FEMALE JUDGES," and other judicial nominees. Judge Fredericka Phillips (second from right) donated $47,000.00 to the campaign but was left in the shadows and wasn't showcased to the general public. Judge Jeralynn Manor (far right) dug deep and chipped in $44,500.00 to the campaign but was also shunned in favor of the two LGBTQ+ PREFERRED CANDIDATES, Molly Cook and Lauren Ashley Simmons, for some reason. THE BIG QUESTION... Who made the decision to use the $91,500.00 donated by Judge Phillips and Judge Manor, along with the hundreds of thousands of dollars donated by other "DISTRICT COURT JUDGES," to give Molly Cook and Lauren Ashley Simmons a free ride on the dime of "BLACK FEMALES" and other donors leading up to Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas.

A Commission comprised of Black Community Leaders, Stakeholders, and Elected Officials must be formed and tasked with the duty of determining who made the decision to select Molly Cook, Christian Menefee, Annette Ramirez, Lauren Ashley Simmons, and Sean Teare as the faces of the Harris County Democratic Party's "VICTORY 2024 CAMPAIGN," and why the two LGBTQ+ FEMALE CANDIDATES, were given a free ride at the expense of local "DEMOCRATIC JUDGES" and other donors.

Commissioner Rodney Ellis only donated $6,500.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party to support their "2024 VICTORY CAMPAIGN," even though he had $6,422,698.00 in his campaign bank account. That said, Commissioner Rodney Ellis's selfishness played a significant role in what happened to the "DEMOCRATIC JUDGES" on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas. As the 2026 Midterms draw nearer, Black Community Leaders, Stakeholders, and Elected Officials must form a coalition to force public servants like Commissioner Rodney Ellis to do more and compel the Harris County Democratic Party to do right by our people who choose to run for office as Democrats.

Judge Fredericka Phillips, the presiding judge for the 61st Civil District Court, was not treated right by her beloved Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP) during the 2024 Presidential Election. Judge Phillips did her fair share for the (HCDP) when she donated $47,000.00 to Mike Doyle's "2024 VICTORY CAMPAIGN" but didn't receive any protection from the "STOP HOUSTON MURDERS" political attack advertisements that claimed that she had blood on her hands, and was "SOFT ON CRIME," when she had absolutely nothing to do with the rise in crime. By not defending Judge Fredericka Phillips, the Harris County Democratic Party is mostly to blame for her defeat.

Judge Jeralynn Manor, the presiding judge for the 80th Civil District Court, was not treated right by her beloved Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP) during the 2024 Presidential Election. Judge Manor did her fair share for the (HCDP) when she donated $44,500.00 to Mike Doyle's "2024 VICTORY CAMPAIGN" but didn't receive any protection from the "STOP HOUSTON MURDERS" political attack advertisements that claimed that she had blood on her hands, and was "SOFT ON CRIME," when she had absolutely nothing to do with the rise in crime. By not defending Judge Jeralynn Manor, the Harris County Democratic Party is mostly to blame for her defeat.

State Senator Molly Cook, who professes to be openly-gay, only gave $1,000.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party but was somehow selected as a "CAMPAIGN CO-CHAIR" and face for the Harris County Democratic Party during the 2024 Presidential Election. For all intents and purposes, it's a travesty that the Harris County Democratic Party shunned Judge Fredericka Phillips, who donated $47,000.00, and Judge Jeralynn Manor, who donated $44,500.00 and used their donated money to give Molly Cook and Lauren Ashley Simmons a free ride.

State Rep-Elect Lauren Ashley Simmons was recruited by the LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY to defeat State Rep Shawn Thierry. After paying her $750.00 filing fee to run for State Representative for House District 146, Lauren Ashley Simmons was selected as a face of the Harris County Democratic Party. She was given a free ride and did not give a dime to the Harris County Democratic Party's campaign. For all intents and purposes, it's appalling that Mike Doyle and the Harris County Democratic Party rejected Judge Fredericka Phillips, who donated $47,000.00, and Judge Jeralynn Manor, who donated $44,500.00 and used their donated money to give Molly Cook and Lauren Ashley Simmons a free ride.

County Tax Assessor-Collector Annette Ramirez was given a free ride for most of the way at the expense of local "DEMOCRATIC JUDGES" who paid into the "VICTORY 2024 CAMPAIGN."  However, Annette Ramirez did $29,329.00 in late October, which was strange. For all intents and purposes, Mike Doyle and the Harris County Democratic Party favored Annette Ramirez over Judge Fredericka Phillips, who donated $47,000.00, and Judge Jeralynn Manor, who donated $44,500.00 and used their donated money to promote Annette Ramirez as the face of the (HCDP), instead of them.

District Attorney-Elect Sean Teare was a loyal supporter of the Harris County Democratic Party throughout the entire "2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION CYCLE" and carried his weight. Sean Teare donated $36,500.00 to support Mike Doyle's "VICTORY 2024 CAMPAIGN" and was chosen as one of the faces of the Harris County Democratic Party.

County Attorney Christian Menefee did his part to support the Harris County Democratic Party during the 2024 Presidential Election cycle. Most of his support came late in the process. Still, he donated $22,000.00 to the "VICTORY 2024 CAMPAIGN," far more than Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis donated to the Harris County Democratic Party all year.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

The two openly gay females, State Senator Molly Cook and State Rep-Elect Lauren Ashley Simmons, both got a free ride as "BLACK FEMALE JUDGES" got underutilized and shunned during the Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential Election cycle.

9/09/2024 – State Senator Molly Cook donated $1,000.00, to the Harris County Democratic Party. She also gave an “IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION” of $608.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party as a text messaging contribution on 7/03/2024, according to her “CAMPAIGN REPORT FILING,” with the Texas Ethics Commissioner under penalty of perjury.

Lauren Ashley Simmons only paid her “FILING FEE,” $750.00, to run against State Rep. Shawn Thierry on 11/14/2023. She does not appear to have donated (or given) anything further to support the Harris County Democratic Party’s “2024 VICTORY CAMPAIGN,” according to her campaign filing with the Texas Ethics Commission.

8/22/2024 – Annette Ramirez donated $2,329.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party. She didn’t donate anything else until she made two payments on 10/31/2024, for $17,000.00 and another donation for $10,000.00, according to the Harris County Democratic Party’s Campaign Finance Reports.

County Clerk Christian Menefee donated $5,000.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party on 10/25/2024. He also donated $10,000.00 on 10/11/2024.

According to his campaign filings, Christian Menefee donated $5,000.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party on 9/17/2024 and $2,000.00 on 8/26/2024.

10/18/2024 – Sean Teare donated $500.00 and $ $10,000.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party. On 9/16/2024, he donated $5,000.00, according to their campaign finance reports. On 8/16/2024, Teare donated another $5,000.00; on 8/12/2024, he donated another $5,000.00 and followed that up with a $1,000.00 donation.

“RODNEY ELLIS.”

Commissioner Rodney Ellis has carried a running balance of at least $6 million in his campaign over the last year. According to his 10/28/2024 campaign finance report, he has $6,422,693.00 in the bank.

Even though Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis has over $6 million in the bank, he has only donated $6,500.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party in the last year.

On 2/22/2024, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis donated $1,500.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party. After I publicly complained about Commissioner Ellis not carrying his load in several blog posts, he donated $5,000.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party on 9/5/2024, according to his filing with the Texas Ethics Commission.

“SYNOPSIS.”

Further evaluation of Mike Doyle’s actions is needed to determine what occurred. Still, it looks like Mike Doyle and the Harris County Democratic Party launched their “2024 Victory Campaign” on Thursday, August 15, 2024, and used the money donated to the (HCDP) by local “DEMOCRATIC JUDGES” and “JUDICIAL NOMINEES” to promote the two LGBTQ+ CANDIDATES (Molly Cook and Lauren Ashley Simmons,” while disregarding and shunning the candidacies of African American female Judges such as the Honorable Judge Fredericka Phillips and the Honorable Judge Jeralynn Manor.

For the record, Judge Fredericka Phillips donated $5,000.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party on 8/27/2023 and another $42,000.00 to the (HCDP) on 2/01/2024, according to her campaign finance reports filed with the Texas Ethics Commission.

As for Judge Jeralynn Manor, she donated $2,500.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party on 8/16/2023 and another $42,000.00 to the (HCDP) on 2/02/2024, according to her campaign finance reports filed with the Texas Ethics Commission.

“CLOSING THOUGHTS.”

Based upon my review of the “CAMPAIGN FINANCE REPORTS,” it is evident that Judge Fredericka Phillips and Judge Jeralynn Manor paid their fair share into Mike Doyle’s “2024 VICTORY CAMPAIGN” and appear to have gotten shunned and disregarded in favor of the two LGBTQ+ CANDIDATES, who got a free ride.

For healing and unity, I recommend the Harris County Democratic Party leadership do some soul-searching and examine how and why the party spent “ZERO DOLLARS” with local African American-focused media and consultants.

It is furthermore incumbent upon media entities like KCOH RADIO 1230 AM, the Houston Defender Newspaper, the Houston Forward Times Newspaper, African American News & Issues Newspaper, the Houston Style Magazine, and Houston Business Connections Newspaper to get consideration as vehicles of choice when it relates to mobilizing and inspiring African American voter turnout in Harris County, Texas in the forthcoming 2026 Midterms and 2028 Presidential Elections.
