Carmen Maria Montiel, the GOP candidate running for the 18th Congressional District of Texas has calmed down and called off the press conference she was planning to hold today at 2pm. However, Carmen Maria Montiel and her campaign manager have informed Aubrey R. Taylor Communication that they're planning to address some major issues within the GOP, and call for equal treatment of candidates going forward. You can contact Amanda LaBrie at (832)788-1101, or call (432)238-7610 for more information.

The Spring Valley Village Police were dispatched to the Harris County Republican Party Headquarters on the morning of Thursday, September 9, 2022, after receiving a call from Carmen Maria Montiel related to what she called an assault at the time. However, the Harris County District Attorney declined to accept the charges related to CASE NUMBER: 22-27371, called in by Officer Hale who works for the Spring Valley Village Police Department.

Carmen Maria Montiel is seen reaching into her purse, as Genevieve Carter, the media contact for the Harris County Republican Party continues to communicate on her cell phone. The men in the background seated appear to be House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy and Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-36), who also serves as the China Tas Force Chairman.

An older woman (with a GOP name badge) whispers something into Genevieve Carter's ear as Carmen Maria Montiel, walks toward the door to gain entry into the press conference "Holding Chinese Communist Party Accountable" under a Republican Majority.

The older woman (with a GOP name badge) blocks Carmen Maria Montiel from gaining entry into the conference room after communicating with Genevieve Carter, the media contact for the Harris County Republican Party. As you can see, Jeff L. MacGeorge, a Republican Precinct Chair, and field director for Carmen Maria Montiel is witnessing the exchange as it occurs.

The older woman (with the GOP name badge) shows Carmen Maria Montiel the way to the door after being told something by Genevieve Carter, the media contact for the Harris County Republican Party.

Carmen Maria Montiel appears to not want to leave and the older woman (with the GOP name badge) appears to place her hands on Carmen Mari Montiel and guide her out of the front door of the Harris County Republican Party headquarters. As Carmen Maria Montiel is being taken out of the door, Genevieve Carter, the media contact for the Harris County Republican Party is seen securing the conference room door where House Leader Kevin McCarthy, Congressman Michael McCaul (TX-10), and other invited GOP Leaders are seated.

As Genevieve Carter, the media contact for the Harris County Republican Party continues to close the conference room door, Carmen Maria Montiel is guided out of the front door by the older woman (with the GOP name badge) continuing to try to get her to leave the GOP headquarters. Now, if you look closely at Genevieve, (in the background) you can clearly see her securing (closing) the door to the conference room closing as Carmen Maria Montiel is being guided out.

Carmen Maria Montiel Cancels Her Press Conference, Expresses Desire to Unify GOP, Address Her Concerns At A Later Date

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Carmen Maria Montiel is still very upset about what happened to her at the Harris County Republican Party Headquarters on Thursday, September 8, 2022, when she showed up to a press conference where other GOP Congressional candidates were present. "I can't understand why I was left out," says the GOP nominee running for the 18th Congressional District, against Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in Harris County, Texas. "This is the party I love," she says.

According to Montiel, she was sent an email inviting her to the Harris County GOP Headquarters for a press conference on Thursday, September 8, 2022, and upon arriving she was denied entry into the conference room. And on top of being denied access, Montiel feels like she was disrespected and humiliated by being escorted off the premises by the police.

According to Cindy Siegel, chairman of the Harris County Republican Party, the event in question was intended to be a private press conference, and only Westley Hunt (GOP Nominee for TX-38), and Morgan Luttrell (GOP Nominee for TX-08) were invited to the press conference. Why? Well, according to Cindy Siegel, House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy was using the GOP headquarters to host the press conference in question.

You can view "THE MEDIA ADVISORY" below that was sent out to the media, candidates, and the public to draw your own conclusions related to this matter.

For more information on this matter, you feel free to call Genevieve Carter at (281)643-0069, at the Harris County Republican Party. Or, to reach the Carmen Maria Montiel for Congress Campaign, you should call, (832)788-1101, or (432)238-7610, and direct your question about this matter to Amanda LaBrie, the campaign manager.

"Now is the time when our love for America must prevail. So, it is incumbent upon us to elect "PUBLIC SERVANTS" who understand that they work for us. We need "ELECTED OFFICIALS" in office who love "OUR CONSTITUTION" and the ideals that our nation was founded upon by our forefathers. That being said, we must make it our collective effort to "PUT PEOPLE OVER POLITICS" and do what's best for America during this pivotal moment in the history of our great nation."
