Black and Hispanic Voting Blocs Could Collide as Sheila Jackson Lee and Gilbert Garcia Seek to Make History in Houston

Sheila Jackson Lee for Houston has officially been launched. In a rousing speech, about hope and the future the honorable United State Representative stated, “I want you to see in this campaign – no matter what stage of life you’re in, what age you are, there is hope in this city, and in this city there are results.” Jackson Lee promised to “unlock City Hall” at her rally on the rooftop of Post Houston on Friday, April 14, 2023. IN OTHER HAPPENINGS...Former METRO Chairman Gilbert Garcia is headed straight toward a date with destiny as he and "QUEEN SHEILA" both seek to make history.

Gilbert Garcia the former Chairman of METRO is seeking to become the first Hispanic CEO for the City of Houston, Texas. Garica is a wealthy local businessman who is very good when it comes to managing money. Gilbert Garcia also has a very good understanding of how the economy works having received a B.A. in Economics from Yale University. Under his leadership, Garcia Hamilton & Associates, LLP has grown from $200 million in fixed-income assets under management to over $22 billion, according to published reports. That being said, Garcia appears to be an excellent choice for Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, and Independents to get to know better between now and Tuesday, November 7, 2023, when the Mayoral Election is scheduled to take place.

Former At-Large Councilwoman Amanda Edwards is a lot stronger than Chris Hollins. Sheila's "POLITICAL MACHINE" is continuing to work on Amanda Edwards to get her to step aside and clear the way for Sheila. However, so far, the 'alleged' negotiation with Amanda Edwards has stalled. From what I understand, "THE POLITICAL MACHINE" is working behind the scenes to try and convince Amanda Edwards that they will let her run for the 18th Congressional District in the 2024 Presidential Election if she moves out of Sheila's way in the race for Mayor of the City of Houston.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee appeared to be up for the challenge as she promised to “unlock City Hall” at her rally on the rooftop of Post Houston on Friday, April 14, 2023. With history on the line, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee seems to have a little more 'pep-in-her-step' as she has set her sights on becoming the first African American female mayor of the City of Houston, Texas.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee has one of the most well-known names in America. She is who she is, so to speak. Some Americans love her with all their heart, soul, and being. However, some Americans hate her with a passion. But whether you love her, or hate her, there's no mistaking the fact that on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Sheila Jackson Lee will be the driving force behind the turnout.

Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis was center stage on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee's rally, on the rooftop. No matter what you think about Commissioner Rodney Ellis, he has proven that he knows how to win by any means necessary.

Commissioner Rodney Ellis is firmly behind the Sheila for Houston Mayoral Campaign. And if Ellis is behind Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, the "POLITICAL MACHINE" that Ellis has created is going to make damn sure that Sheila Jackson Lee makes the December runoff.

Claude Cummings, Jr. (right) is a big dawg in local politics. The beautiful woman pictured with Cummings is Abenaa Bailey, a lady who has some influence when it comes to playing the political game. In case you don't know him, Claude Cummings Jr., who has served as an at-large member of the Executive Board of the Communications Workers of America since 2007, was elected Vice President of CWA District 6 in July 2011 and was re-elected in July 2015, and July 2019 representing workers in Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Claude has also been appointed to lead the Human Rights Department for the National CWA.

Bishop James Dixon (right), has uniquely positioned himself as a key player in Harris County politics. Dixon and the lovely Abenaa Bailey both appear to be throwing their full support behind Sheila Jackson Lee for Houston. For the record, Bishop Dixon is the president of the NAACP Houston Branch and a local minister. The vision of James Dixon Ministries is to provide empowerment experiences, products, and services that inspire and instruct people to live God-purposed lives through faith! According to his website, his ministry projects and embodies this vision. "We are mandated to get God’s Good News to every person, in every place on the globe," he says.

State Rep. Ron E. Reynolds (second from right), attended the Sheila Jackson Lee for Houston rally, but it is unclear whether he was simply showing his respect, or plans to play a pivotal role in her campaign. In case you don't him, State Rep. Reynolds currently serves as chairman of the Texas Black Legislative Caucus. He's also currently serving his fifth term in the Texas House. He is the first African American State Representative in Fort Bend County since Reconstruction. He was voted by his House colleagues as “Freshman Legislator of the Year” and “Public Servant of the Year” by the Houston Minority Contractors Association. He served as the House Minority Whip during the 83rd & 84th Legislative sessions.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "We must make it our business to start "PUTTING PEOPLE OVER POLITICS" going forward into the 2023 City of Houston Mayoral Election, the 2024 Democratic Party Primary, and 2024 Republican Party Primary. Our nation is at a serious crossroads, and a serious course correction is desperately needed in America."

Mayoral Bid Officially Launched by Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee; Sheila Jackson Lee for Houston Mayor Kickoff Highlights

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Over the last three years, I’ve focused a lot of attention on Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s campaign for ‘allegedly’ harvesting ballots and engaging in other questionable activities during her reelection bids. But truth be told, my problem has never been with Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. My investigative team hasn’t found any evidence pointing to any wrongdoing (that she has personally engaged in over the course of my investigations) in her congressional campaigns. However, Gerald Womack needs to straighten up his act and vet the campaign workers he hires much better. Gloria Palmer, and Tomar Bishop, had better not show up on Sheila for Houston campaign reports.

"NAME IDENTIFICATION."

Name identification (ID) and branding are the two powerful attributes every candidate must have when running for public office. And when it comes to the honorable Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee possesses both. Therefore “QUEEN SHEILA” doesn’t need to raise and spend $5 million, $10 million, or some ungodly sum like $50 million to win the Tuesday, November 7, 2023, City of Houston Mayoral race.

-------------------------------

When you get right down to it, so many people love Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and so many people hate her with a passion, for one reason or another. But at the end of the day, Sheila doesn’t play!!!

-------------------------------

I’m not sure if former METRO Chairman Gilbert Garcia, state Senator John Whitmire or their campaign teams have a real grasp of what it will take to stop Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee from becoming the next Mayor of the City of Houston.

State Senator John Whitmire doesn’t quite grasp the fact that he has a branding problem when it comes to people outside of his political circles. Sure, he’s been in the Texas legislature for decades; but his track record is questionable. And ultimately his stance on Criminal Justice Reform, and promoting Transgenderism in Public Schools could come back to bite him in the butt.

Just recently, state Senator John Whitmire refused to support legislation that would have protected children from falling victim to abuse and sexualization by adults. But that’s a story for another day.

When it comes to former METRO Chairman Gilbert Garcia, he appears to be poised to get taken for a ride. Garcia doesn’t understand how Blacks think, or how strong the Black voting base is when it comes to deciding local elections.

At the rate Gilbert Garcia and state Senator John Whitmire are going if something doesn't change, they are going to fool around and let “QUEEN SHEILA” and “THE POLITICAL MACHINE” behind her, take them out in the first round. If Sheila and her team get a majority of the votes on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 -- it's game over!!!

A December runoff will only be needed if no candidate gains a majority of the vote on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, and if former At-Large Councilwoman is convinced to get out of the way of “QUEEN SHEILA” both Garcia and Whitmire could have a serious problem.

“I want you to see in this campaign – no matter what stage of life you’re in, what age you are, there is hope in this city, and in this city there are results,” said Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee as she promised to “unlock City Hall” at her rally on the rooftop of Post Houston on Friday, April 14, 2023.

Let the games begin!!
