Formal Complaint Filed Against Dr. Candice Matthews and Quanell X; Timing of Dr. Hotze’s Arrest is Suspect

Judge Robert Johnson (bottom right), the presiding judge for the 177th Criminal District Court, ordered GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze (bottom center) to be thrown in jail eight days after the Houston Chronicle Editorial Board made Judge Johnson the first candidate endorsed for the 2024 Presidential Election cycle in Harris County, Texas. Remember, over (60) sixty down-ballot races are on the ballot above Judge Johnson's 177th Criminal District Court. And of the more than (60) sixty down-ballot races, over (28) twenty-eight of them are judicial races. Why was Judge Robert Clark Johnson the first overall candidate endorsed by the Houston Chronicle's Editorial Board? BOSS MAMA... "DR" Candice Matthews (top center) has turned Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis (top right) into a paper tiger (with no teeth) after she made a complete idiot of him after secretly recording him holding an illegal meeting at his home with her and a whistleblower in a federal lawsuit against Harris County. Community Activist Eligah "Ricky" Jason (left) has filed "A FEDERAL COMPLAINT" against "DR" Candice Matthews and Quanell X on behalf of several victims from the Beaumont, Texas, area.

MENACE TO TEXAS — Elected officials and members of law enforcement in Harris County, Texas, appear to be afraid to do anything with "DR" Candice Matthews, which enables her to travel across the state of Texas, threatening and striking fear into the hearts of anyone, who dares to speak up against her. Whatever power Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis believes he had went out the window when he allowed "DR" Candice Matthews and James Dunn, Jr., to succeed with their alleged "EXTORTION AND BLACKMAIL SCHEME" against him and Bishop James Dixon, the president of the Houston Branch of the NAACP, which is continuing to unfold with Dr. Candice Matthews planning to seize control of the Houston Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and local Criminal Courtrooms and Civil Courtrooms currently held by Democrats in Harris County, Texas.

QUANELL AND CANDICE — The FBI, White House, and Port Arthur Police have all been informed that Community Activist Eligah "Ricky" Jason is in fear for his life after "DR" Candice Matthews and members of the New Black Panther Nation paid him a visit. Candice allegedly threatened to burst the windows out of his car and blow his house up. According to "DR" Candice Matthews, she was able to get away with making her "TERRORISTIC THREATS" because the Mayor of Port Arthur (Thurman Bartie) and Police Chief for Port Arthur (Timothy Duriso) are both her cousins. According to Community Activist Eligah "Ricky" Jason, neither the Mayor of Port Arthur nor the Police Chief for Port Arthur are relatives of this cowboy hat-wearing community terrorist named "DR" Candice Matthews, who members of law enforcement across Texas appear to be fearful of themselves.

THE POLICE CHIEF — According to "DR" Candice Matthews (Timothy Duriso), the Police Chief for Port Arthur, Texas, is her cousin. The FBI, White House, and Port Arthur Police have all been informed that Community Activist Eligah "Ricky" Jason is in fear for his life after "DR" Candice Matthews and members of the New Black Panther Nation paid him a visit. Formal Complaint Filed Against Quanell X and Candice Matthews; Timing of Dr. Steven Hotze’s Arrest is Suspect

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

The debate last night between Vice President Kamala Harris (THE DEMOCRAT NOMINEE) for president and former President Donald Trump (THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE) has come and gone. However, the investigation into the alleged “EXTORTION AND BLACKMAIL SCHEME” unfolding in Harris County, Texas, has taken another twist.

My investigative team and I may have found a link between the “EXTORTION AND BLACKMAIL SCHEME” against Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze being thrown in jail by Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s boy – Juge Robert Clark Johnson, the presiding judge for the 177th Criminal District Court, in Harris County, Texas.

It’s a little too early to tell for sure. Still, it is beginning to look like there could be a link between Judge Robert Clark Johnson being the first overall “2024 CANDIDATE” by the Houston Chronicle’s “EDITORIAL BOARD” and Commissioner Rodney Ellis and four members of his regime also endorsed before any other candidates running for office in Harris County, Texas on the forthcoming Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential Election ballot.

While it could be a coincidence, it can also be one of the most egregious cases of “LAWFARE” seen in a local Harris County courtroom in quite some time.

For the record, the term “LAWFARE” is interchangeable with the term “WARFARE” and means the use of the legal systems and institutions to damage or delegitimize an opponent or to deter an individual’s usage of their legal rights – which is what’s appearing to happen in the matter swirling around GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze, inside the 177th Criminal District Court in Harris County, Texas.

On Friday, August 16, 2024, at 6:00 a.m., an article was published about Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis releasing the details of “AN AUDIT” of campaign finance reports that discovered Commissioner Rodney Ellis had $6,239,978.00 in his campaign account, but had only donated $1,500.00 to the Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP) between 1/1/2024 and 7/15/2024, and that the (HCDP) only had $46,033.00 cash on hand, inside their (CEC) account. The Harris County Republican Party (HCRP) only had $40.75 cash inside their (CEC) account.

At 4:30 p.m. or 16:30 on Friday, August 16, 2024, GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze was indicted by a Harris County Grand Jury a few hours after my investigative team’s damning report about Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and his lack of support for the Democratic Party.

Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon and engaging in organized crime are the new charges against Dr. Steven Hotze – which are bogus.

The charging document stated: “The duly organized Grand Jury of Harris County, Texas, presents in the District Court of Harris County, Texas, that in Harris County, Texas, STEVEN FORREST HOTZE, hereafter styled the Defendant, heretofore on or about October 19, 2020, did then and there unlawfully, while in the course of committing theft of property owned by David Lopez-Zuniga, and with intent to obtain and maintain control of the property, intentionally and knowingly threaten and place David Lopez-Zuniga in fear of imminent bodily injury and death, and the Defendant did then and there use and exhibit a deadly weapon, namely a firearm."

On Monday, August 19, 2024, GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze got served with a summons to appear in the 177th Criminal District Court before Judge Robert Johnson, who, according to sources including several local practicing attorneys, is Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s boy – meaning he’s an alleged member of Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s political regime.

On Monday, August 26, 2024, Aubrey R. Taylor Communications released more than eighteen segments of “SECRETLY RECORDED AUDIO TAPE” that was captured by “DR” Candice Matthews after accepting the invitation to meet Commissioner Ellis at his home for an illegally held private meeting where Commissioner Ellis violated several sections of the Local Government Code, which could still trigger proceedings to remove Commissioner Rodney Ellis from office, and possibly send him to jail.

On Wednesday, August 28, 2024, the Houston Chronicle Editorial Board issued their endorsement for the 177th Criminal District Court, which is presided over by Judge Robert Clark Johnson, who, according to multiple sources, is Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s boy.

It is unclear how Judge Robert Johnson was chosen as the first endorsement of the “2024 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION CYCLE,” when there are at least (60) sixty races that appear before the 177th Criminal District Court on the forthcoming Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential Election ballot for Harris County, Texas.

Besides there being over (60) sixty down-ballot races appearing on the Harris County, Texas ballot, there are (29) twenty-nine judicial races that appear on the ballot before Judge Robert Johnson’s 177th Criminal District Court race.

Judicial races for the Texas Supreme Court, Court of Criminal Appeals, First Court of Criminal Appeals, 14th Court of Criminal Appeals, and District Judge for the 11th, 61st, 80th, 125th, 127th, 129th, 133rd, 151st, 152nd, 164th, 165th, 174th and 176th all appear on the ballot before the 177th Criminal District Court, which is presided over by Judge Robert Clark Johnson, who according to sources is Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s boy – several of the sources are practicing attorneys.

Was it a coincidence that the Houston Chronicle Editorial Board endorsed Judge Robert Clark Johnson, the presiding judge for the 177th Criminal District Court, or was Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s boy endorsed as part of some backroom agreement?

I’ve always liked Judge Robert Johnson, but something is starting to smell fishy – when other factors are considered regarding his handling of GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze.

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office set forth the bond conditions for GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze, which they filed with the Harris County District Clerk.

Also, on Thursday, September 5, 2024, Judge Robert Clark Johnson, who sources say is one of Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s boys, granted the state’s “MOTION FOR BOND CONDITIONS” in the matter involving GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze.

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, Judge Robert Clark Johnson issued a directive remanding GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze into custody on the charge of  “AGGRAVATED ROBBERY WITH A DEADLY WEAPON.” He set his bond at $10,00.00, which Dr. Hotze posted before being released from jail and making it home around 2:45 a.m. the next day.

On Thursday, September 5, 2024, the same day that GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze was arrested and thrown in jail by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s boy, the Houston Chronicle Editorial Board was busy issuing their endorsement of another one of Commissioner Ellis’s boys by the name of former Mayor Sylvester Turner, who is currently running for United States Congress for the 18th Congressional District of Texas.

On Friday, September 6, 2024, the day GOP Megadonor Dr. Steven Hotze was ordered to appear before the 177th Criminal District Court after being released from jail, the Houston Chronicle Editorial Board was busy issuing its endorsement of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis for his Tuesday, November 5, 2024, reelection bid against a Republican named Gerry Vander-lyn.

On Monday, September 9, 2024, the Houston Chronicle’s Editorial Board endorsed one of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s girls named Lauren Ashley Simmons, the candidate who unseated Democrat State Rep. Shawn Thierry, who has switched her political affiliation to the Republican Party.

Simmons will face a Republican named Lance York on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas.

On Tuesday, September 10, 2024, the Houston Chronicle’s Editorial Board endorsed another one of Commissioner Rodney Ellis’ girls, Annette Ramirez, in the race for Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector. Ramirez will face off against a former County Commissioner, Steve Radack, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas.

“SOMETHING’S FISHY.”

Since capturing Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis on her “SECRET AUDIO RECORDING DEVICE,” “DR.” Candice Matthews has gone buck-wild and become one of the most powerful women in Texas. She has been wreaking havoc on fellow community activists, Commissioner Ellis, and Bishop James Dixon in her quest to seize control of local “CIVIL AND CRIMINAL COURTS” and force Bishop James Dixon to relinquish his NAACP presidency to her.

What most folks who fear Commissioner Rodney Ellis don’t even realize is that he’s pretty much lost his power to “DR” Candice Matthews and has, for the most part, had to do what she tells him after he foolishly allowed her into his home.

Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s reign could end as “DR” Candice Matthews holds the keys to his freedom on several issues. That’s why the man once called “THE PUPPET MASTER” has to sit by silently as “DR” Candice Matthews travels the state of Texas racking up victim after victim – with no fear of prosecution anywhere in Texas.

Yep, ole “DR” Candice Matthews outsmarted Commissioner Ellis and has taken his position as “THE PUPPET MASTER.” She and her cohorts use mafia-style tactics to strong-arm the once-powerful Commissioner Rodney Ellis and the president of the local branch of the NAACP (Bishop James Dixon) into a position where they have no choice but to meet her demands.

“PUSHING BACK.”

Unlike Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Bishop James Dixon, who’ve both allegedly allowed “DR” Candice Matthews to use her “EXTORTION AND BLACKMAIL SCHEME” to render them powerless, a community activist in Port Arthur, Texas, is in fear of his life – but is asking for help.

Eligah “Ricky” Jason called me several weeks ago to complain about an event on the street in front of his home in Port Arthur, Texas, on August 21, 2024, around 12:30 p.m., which he reported to the police. However, “DR” Candice Matthews claims that the Port Arthur, Texas, Police Chief (Tim Duriso) is her cousin, so the Port Arthur Police didn’t show up after she threatened to blow up the home of her rival community activist.

According to “DR” Candice Matthews, the Mayor of Port Arthur, Texas (Thurman Bartie) is also her cousin and disregarded her criminal activity.

The late rapper Pimp C, real name Chad Lamont Butler (1973-2007), according to “DR” Candice Matthews, was also a relative of hers, along with many other Port Arthur powerbrokers.

Whether any of these leaders from the Port Arthur area are relatives of “DR” Candice Matthews remains to be seen and maybe uncovered if the Justice Department intervenes as community activist Eligah “Ricky” Jason is hoping and praying for them to do.

“Dear President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and Democratic Leaders,” stated Eligah “Ricky” Jason’s letter sent via “CERTIFIED MAIL” to the White House on August 3, 2024.

Apparently, “Eligah “Ricky” Jason has created a group called “Victims of Quanell X and Candice Matthews,” which is what appears to have angered “DR” Candice Matthews and prompted her to make a trip to Port Arthur, Texas, to intimidate him and allegedly threaten to blow up his home.

“TERRORISTIC THREAT.”

What “DR” Candice Matthews did when she jumped into her SUV in Northwest Houston and drove to Elijah “Ricky” Jason’s home in Port Arthur, Texas, to threaten him was criminal. Community activists cannot go to people's homes and threaten to bust their a$$ if they get back on the internet.

“CLOSING THOUGHTS.”

If law enforcement and local Democratic leaders don’t step in and do something about the ongoing “EXTORTION AND BLACKMAIL SCHEME” that “DR” Candice Matthews is using to seize control of the local branch of the NAACP and local “CRIMINAL AND CIVIL COURTS,” after rendering Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis powerless – someone could get hurt or killed.

It is unconscionable that members of law enforcement are afraid to arrest or dissuade “DR” Candice Matthews from threatening to blow up buildings and the homes of Texans to strike fear into their hearts.

ENTERING -- The segment above will substantiate the fact that "DR" Candice Matthews, the Chairman of the Texas Coalition of Black Democrats and National Minister of Politics for the New Black Panther Party, entered the home of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis located at 2102 Sunset Boulevard, Houston, Texas, and bravely captured Commissioner Ellis "ABUSING HIS POWER" as the Harris County Commissioner for Precinct One.

ENTERING -- The segment above will substantiate that Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis entered a room in his home located at 2102 Sunset Boulevard, Houston, Texas 77005, and confiscated the cell phones of "DR" Candice Matthews and Jacquelyn Aluotto, but did not realize that "DR" Candice Matthews had bravely and courageously came to the meeting armed with a secret recording device to catch Commissioner Rodney Ellis red-handed abusing his power.

LEAVING -- The segment above will substantiate the fact that "DR" Candice Matthews, the Chairman of the Texas Coalition of Black Democrats and National Minister of Politics for the New Black Panther Party, safely left the home of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, located at 2102 Sunset Boulevard, Houston, Texas, after she successfully captured Commissioner Ellis "ABUSING HIS POWER" as the Harris County Commissioner for Precinct One.

SEGMENT 1 – Candice Matthews walks up to the door of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s home at 2102 Sunset Boulevard, in Houston, Texas 77005, with a recording device already turned on as she approaches the front door.

SEGMENT 2 – Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis enters a room at his home at 2102 Sunset Boulevard, in Houston, Texas 77005, and greets “DR” Candice Matthews and Jacquelyn Aluotto. According to multiple sources, he confiscates their cell phones but does not know that Matthews has a recording device attached to her key chain.

SEGMENT 3 – Candice Matthews tells Jacquelyn Aluotto why Commissioner Rodney Ellis had them meet him at his home at 2102 Sunset Boulevard, in Houston, Texas 77005. According to “DR” Candice Matthews, she and Jacquelyn Aluotto were asked to meet Commissioner Ellis at his home because he had a meeting with Bishop James Dixon scheduled and did not want Bishop Dixon to know that he was meeting with the two of them.

SEGMENT 4 – Jacquelyn Aluotto explains to Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and “DR” Candice Matthews that she fears for her life. As far as we know, Commissioner Rodney Ellis did not contact any law enforcement agency to alert them about what was happening between Jacquelyn Aluotto and her co-founder of the “NO TRAFFICKING ZONE,” Bishop James Dixon.

SEGMENT 5 – Jacquelyn Aluotto explains why she kept her mouth shut and did not tell her lawyers, 30-time Emmy Award-winning Reporter Wayne Dolcefino, or Republicans. She also told Harris Commissioner Rodney Ellis and “DR” Candice Matthews that her child was off limits.

SEGMENT 6 – Jacquelyn Aluotto explains how she brought “HUMAN TRAFFICKING VICTIMS” to Bishop James Dixon’s Church (Community of Faith) because she felt she was doing God’s work. Still, Bishop Dixon started sleeping with the women and then never calling them again. According to Aluotto, two professional women she brought to Bishop Dixon were from the Governor’s Office and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, who fell into Bishop Dixon’s hands.

SEGMENT 7 – Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis asks to see the pictures and videos Jacquelyn Aloutto had of Bishop James Dixon with the “SEX TRAFFICKING VICTIMS” and the time he was in Florida representing NRG and threatened to kill himself. Matthews explains to Commissioner Ellis that Bishop Dixon needed to knock it off because she has Johnny Binder protecting Aluotto.

SEGMENT 8 – Jacquelyn Aluotto explains to Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis why she came to him for help. Commissioner Rodney Ellis agrees to intervene and call Bishop James Dixon, the Chairman of the Board for the Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation.

SEGMENT 9 – Jacquelyn Aluotto begins to cry and explains to Commissioner Ellis and Candice Matthews that she needs to pause for a moment. It is unclear if Commissioner Rodney Ellis contacted any local law enforcement agency after learning about Bishop James Dixon’s predatory behavior.

SEGMENT 10 – Jacquelyn Aluotto explains to Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis that her lawyers are Republicans and happen to be the same lawyers that Wayne Dolcefino employs, and that’s why she separated her case – to make sure Wayne Dolcefino didn’t find out what was unfolding.

SEGMENT 11 – Candice Matthews tells Commissioner Rodney Ellis to remove Bishop James Dixon from several things. However, it is unclear whether Commissioner Ellis went to any law enforcement agency about Jacquelyn Aluotto’s being afraid for her life.

SEGMENT 12 – Candice Matthews told Commissioner Rodney Ellis that Bishop James Dixon could be a liability. However, it is unclear if Commissioner Rodney Ellis has compelled Bishop James Dixon to seek professional help.

SEGMENT 13 – Commissioner Rodney Ellis talks about sex and money as Candice Matthews compels Ellis to go and talk to Bishop James Dixon about his alleged retaliatory behavior. It is unclear if Commissioner Ellis went to local law enforcement authorities or to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office to explain to them that Jacquelyn Aluotto came to him out of fear for her life.

SEGMENT 14 – Jacquelyn Aluotto explains to Commissioner Ellis that Bishop James Dixon had gotten into trouble. Candice Matthews compels Aluotto to tell Commissioner Ellis everything. Matthews appears to be trying to protect Commissioner Ellis and Aluotto in her quest to get Aluotto to tell Ellis every detail of her ordeal with Bishop Dixon in case the information becomes public. According to Jacquelyn Aluotto, she didn’t tell her lawyer everything about her traumatizing ordeal with Bishop Dixon.

SEGMENT 15 – Commissioner Rodney Ellis acknowledges that Bishop James Dixon’s “PREDATORY BEHAVIOR” could lead to people getting killed after Jacquelyn Aluotto told him that Bishop James Dixon was having sex with a few of the wives of some of his male friends. However, it is unclear whether Commissioner Ellis went to any local law enforcement agency or the District Attorney’s Office to report that Jacquelyn Aluotto was in fear for her life.

SEGMENT 16 – Jacquelyn Aluotto tells Commissioner Rodney Ellis that Bishop James Dixon’s sister and father are the only two people who have copies of the pictures of Bishop James Dixon and the “SEX TRAFFICKING” victims, to her knowledge.

SEGMENT 17 – Candice Matthews explains to Jacquelyn Aluotto that she needs to tell Commissioner Rodney Ellis what she wants. It is unclear at this time whether Commissioner Rodney Ellis compelled Bishop James Dixon to stop his “RETALIATORY BEHAVIOR” or to discontinue his “PREDATORIAL BEHAVIOR” in his capacity as the Chairman of the Board for the Harris County Sports & Convention Corporation.

SEGMENT 18 – Jacquelyn Aluotto and “DR” Candice Matthews were escorted out of the front door of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis’s home at 2102 Sunset Boulevard, in Houston, Texas 77005. If you listen closely, the rustling sound you hear is “THE RECORDING DEVICE,” continuing to record as Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Candice Matthews exchange pleasantries as she walks away from Commissioner Ellis’s house to her vehicle parked on the street.

“DO SOMETHING.”

The battle for Texas on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, will be won (or lost) in Harris County, Texas. That said, “DEMOCRATIC NOMINEES” and “REPUBLICAN NOMINEES” need to do something.

History reveals that if the voter turnout in Harris County, Texas, is low, “REPUBLICAN NOMINEES” have an excellent chance of defeating their Democratic opponents. However, if the voter turnout is historic in areas like Sunnyside, Southpark, Acres Homes, Third Ward, Fourth Ward, Fifth Ward, Barrett Station, Kashmere Gardens, Greenspoint, Independence Heights, Settegast, and Pleasantville, “DEMOCRATIC NOMINEES” will do just fine.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "Early voting will begin on Monday, October 21, 2024, and end on Friday, November 1, 2024, for the upcoming Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential Election. It is incumbent upon us to make it our business to select the best candidate available in every down-ballot race."

Donors Have helped Harris/Walz raise $500 million, and Local Black Democrat Judicial Nominees Have Raised over $1.3 million

AUBREY R. REPORTS©

After a rocky start to the 2024 Presidential Election cycle, African American female Democratic judicial nominees have found their groove. They are beginning to hit their stride after being called unqualified and ill-prepared to preside over courtrooms. Remember, only a few months ago, Judge Erica Hughes was called an animal by a local “LGBTQ+ Community attorney named Ben L. Aderholt, who was immediately fired by (COATS/ROSE), the law firm he worked for.

I’m not going to harp on Attorney Ben L. Aderholt or anyone else who hates the advancements Black women are making in the area of politics. However, I suffice to say, “THESE WOMEN ARE HERE TO STAY,” and for the most part, are doing stellar jobs presiding over local courtrooms.

“VOTING RIGHTS.”

It wasn’t that long ago that women didn’t even have the right to vote. Remember, the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution, passed by Congress on June 4, 1919, and ratified on August 18, 1920, granted women of all ethnicities the right to vote.

Since then, Black women, White women, Latino women, Asian women, and others have made tremendous strides in the political, public, and private sectors, forming “A SISTERHOOD” unlike anything we’ve seen before.

Will Americans entrust “A BLACK WOMAN” with the humungous task of leading the free world? After raising over $500 million in under a month, Vice President Kamala Harris appears to be the antidote to former president Donald J. Trump in the minds of Democrats and Republicans in many regards.

“OUTLOOK 2024.”

Law Firms, family, and friends of local “BLACK DEMOCRATIC JUDICIAL CANDIDATES” have positioned them with an impressive cash advantage over the Republican candidates they will face off against on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas.

With “EARLY VOTING,” beginning on Monday, October 21, 2024, “BLACK DEMOCRATIC JUDICIAL CANDIDATES” from Harris County, Texas (primarily women) have $1,391,006.14 cash on hand in the bank as a group. Their Republican counterparts only have $70,086.66 cash on hand when you subtract away the $607,012.48 that the Texas Alliance for Life PAC has associated with Texas Supreme Justice James “Jimmy” Blacklock, who Judge DaSean Jones challenged.

“VOTER OUTREACH.”

Republicans are encouraging Texas voters to “GO TO THE POLLS WITH INTENTION,” casting their ballots for “GOP CANDIDATES” up and down their ballot in 2024 to “Keep Texas – Texas.”

Their Democratic counterparts are encouraging Texas voters to “VOTE BLUE ALL THE WAY THROUGH” their ballots in Texas as they try to reclaim the Lone Star State where no “DEMOCRAT” has won a statewide race since 1994, which was three decades ago.

On top of dominating Democrats for three decades in statewide Texas races, Republicans are starting to make modest gains with Latino and Black voters in Texas. However, “BLACK DOWN-BALLOT JUDICIAL CANDIDATES” have begun making strides in fundraising, which could enable them to become surrogates for the Democratic Party, which desperately needs African Americans to turn out in historic numbers to have any shot at keeping control of Harris County, Texas.

The biggest mistake local Democratic candidates could make is to horde the campaign cash on hand they have, instead of using newly found wealth to mobilize, energize, and engage Texas voters in predominantly African American precincts to “VOTE BLUE ALL THE WAY THROUGH” their ballot on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

“VOTE OF CONFIDENCE.”

We haven’t seen any vast donations roll through, like the $30,000.00 the Buzbee Law Firm (Tony Buzbee) donated to Brittanye Morris shortly after she unseated her fellow Democrat, Judge Daryl Moore, to claim the 333rd Civil District Court bench on March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Party Primary.

We’re continuing to monitor the campaign finance reports.

While no local law firms have matched the $30,000.00 the Buzbee Law Firm gave Brittanye Morris, regional law firms are beginning to flex their muscle with smaller $5,000.00 donations being duplicated and distributed to multiple “DOWN-BALLOT” Democratic judicial nominees. This is a massive vote of confidence from the attorneys practicing before these honorable men and women.

“FEELING THE LOVE.”

In July 2024, after President Joe Biden dropped out of the Presidential race and endorsed his Vice President (Kamala Harris), she proved her worthiness by hitting the campaign trail running and raising $310 million, and she now has over $500 million cash on hand.

As a refresher, many “DEMOCRAT MEGADONORS” got spooked and soured on President Biden after his horrific televised debate performance against former President Donald Trump. But things have taken a dramatic turn for the better as Democrats are flexing their muscle with “HARRIS/WALZ” at the top of their ticket.

Believe it or not, the generosity shown to the “HARRIS/WALZ TICKET” over the last few weeks is starting to trickle down to local “DEMOCRATIC JUDICIAL NOMINEES” running in local races against “REPUBLICAN JUDICIAL NOMINEES” who are finding it challenging to keep pace with their “DOWN-BALLOT” Democratic rivals.

Based on their most recently filed campaign finance reports, “BLACK DEMOCRATIC JUDICIAL NOMINEES” are beginning to “FEEL THE LOVE” as local lawyers and their firms feel more confident and loosen their purse strings—if you know what I mean.

“THE MONEY BAG.”

A couple of years ago, Judge Ravi K. Sandill, the presiding judge for the 127th Civil District Court, had $620,400.85 in his campaign bank account. However, after his hotly contested 2024 bid for re-election, all he has in his account right now is $107,862.07.

On March 5, 2024, Judge Ravi K. Sandill was defeated by his fellow Democrat Denise Brown, who had no money to spend but had a “GOOD BALLOT NAME” and a strong work ethic.

“THE DOWN-BALLOT.”

Good ballot names are essential in local politics. As was evident when Denise Brown received 103,848 votes for 67.8% of the vote, and Judge R.K. Sandill only received 49,359 votes, for 32.2%, on “SUPER TUESDAY” in the Democratic Party Primary race for the 127th Civil District Court – a good ballot name could be the difference between winning and losing.

As Judge R.K. Sandill learned, it doesn’t matter how much money you spend – if you spend it in the wrong places – you could still lose handily – significantly if your name doesn’t help you.

“BAD BALLOT NAMES.”

Overconfidence on the part of “DEMOCRATIC NOMINEES” heading into the forthcoming Tuesday, November 5, 2024, election contests can come back to bite them, as it did for several local “BLACK DEMOCRAT NOMINEES” during the November 8, 2022, Midterm Elections.

Remember what happened to Gemayel L. Haynes (Democrat), who lost to Kristin M. Guiney in the race for District Judge, 183rd Judicial District Court?

The “ETHNIC SOUNDING NAME” of Gemayel didn’t help him much with voters scrolling down the most significant ballot in America. After the voting, Kristin M. Guiney received 534,707 votes for 50.13%, and Gemayel L. Haynes received 532,031 votes for 49.87%.

Gemayel lost his race to Kristin by the slim margin of 2,676 votes.

On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Porsha Natasha Brown (Democrat) lost her bid to become a judge to Leslie Johnson (Republican), who won by 267 votes in the race for judge of County Criminal Court at Law No. 3.

As a refresher, Leslie Johnson received 529,649 votes or 50.1% of the vote, and Porscha Natasha Brown received 529,382 votes or 49.99%.

In the race for Judge, County Criminal Court at Law No. 2 on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Judge Ronnisha Bowman (Democrat) was the only “SITTING DEMOCRAT JUDGE” running countywide who lost her bench. Judge Bowman received 529,909 votes, 49.77% of the vote, and Paula Goodhart received 531,798 votes, 50.23%.

Je’Rell A. Rogers (Democrat) lost to Jessica N. Padilla (Republican) in the race for Judge, County Criminal Court at Law No 14, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in Harris County, Texas.

According to the Harris County Clerk’s Office, Jessica N. Padilla received 533,823 votes for 50.68%, and Je’Rell A. Rogers received 519,533 for 49.32%.

In the race for District Judge in the 180th Judicial District Court, Tami C. Pierce (Republican) nearly defeated Judge DaSean Jones, sued him, and won a new election scheduled for May 2025.

As a refresher, Tami C. Pierce (Republican) received 534,011 votes, for 49.98% of the vote, and DaSean Jones received 534,460, for 50.02%, to win by 449 votes.

“CLOSING THOUGHTS.”

For Democrats running countywide to sweep Harris County, Texas, the voter turnout on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, would have to be north of 800,000 votes. If individual “DEMOCRATIC NOMINEES” running countywide in Harris County, Texas, below 800,000, they could risk losing to their Republican rival on Election Day. That said, if the voter turnout for individual candidates is below 500,000 votes, “REPUBLICAN NOMINEES” will run the table in countywide races.

Democrat nominees in “DOWN-BALLOT” judicial races dominate “REPUBLICAN NOMINEES,” but many are sitting on their campaign war chests, which is difficult to understand.
