There needs to be more strong African American men serving in leadership capacities in Harris County, Texas. However, Ray "RC" Charles Jones, a former Veteran "DEMOCRAT" Executive Committee Member for more than 48 years, is one of the men I've always admired and watched from afar. Another powerful man I've watched closely is State Senator Borris L. Miles, the longtime Senate District 13 State Senator who took over the position after Rodney Ellis vacated the Senate District 13 seat after the untimely death of beloved Harris County Commissioner El Franco Lee.
Since getting a new lease on life in 2019, State Senator Borris L. Miles has done a stellar job for the people residing in Senate District 13 and should be commended. This is unlike Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, who has over $6 million in his campaign account and is doing nothing for the community. Senator Miles makes it a point to use his wealth to give back to his constituents in various ways that are too numerous for me to even begin to state in this report.
Long story short, State Senator Borris L. Miles was knocking on death's door, and the good LORD spared his life. he appears grateful and committed to building a legacy that his family, friends, supporters, and constituents can be proud of.
"Many of you may know that I have struggled with my health all my life. That battle includes facing sickle cell anemia and kidney disease head-on. Like many who live with a life-threatening illness, I power through each day, no matter the pain, to provide for my family and serve the people of Senate District 13. This past weekend, I was blessed to receive a kidney transplant," stated Senator Miles back in 2019, when the LORD spared his life.

Before 2016, when Commissioner Rodney Ellis made his way onto Harris County Commissioner’s Court and Sylvester Turner weaseled his way into becoming Mayor of Houston after two losses, we didn’t have any “BLACK JUDGES” serving in Harris County, Texas.
If you remember, a seemingly healthy and robust Commissioner, El Franco Lee, suddenly died of a heart attack a day after Sylvester Turner officially became Mayor on January 2, 2016, in Houston, Texas.
I have always wondered about the suspicious timing of Commissioner El Franco Lee’s death and the rise of power related to Commissioner Rodney Ellis's regime. Something just never sat well with me about Commissioner Rodney Ellis, former Mayor Sylvester Turner, and the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and their way of doing things.
Corruption, lies, trickery, and “BULLYING WOMEN” have been the hallmark of the “ELLIS/TURNER/LEE” regime as they masterfully ran their “MAIL BALLOT SCHEME” through the 18th Congressional District of Texas for decades – right in plain sight with no fear of suffering any consequences or repercussions.
A key player who made their entire scheme work is Gerald Womack, the owner of Womack Development & Investment Realtors, who also served as the Campaign Manager for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee in nearly all of her re-election bids.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee was never someone I admired or respected because I always knew she was a low-down, dirty snake in the grass. She and Gerald Womack ran one of the most potent “BALLOT HARVESTING SCHEMES” I’ve ever seen.
Commissioner Rodney Ellis, former Mayor Sylvester Turner, the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and Gerald Womack have effectively ruled Harris County, Texas, with an iron fist. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s daughter, who has worked for Commissioner Rodney Ellis as a senior policy advisor, has been thrown into the mix.
It’s a damn shame that local “BLACK LEADERS” are afraid of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis. Sitting on the sidelines and watching the “ELLIS/TURNER/LEE” regime run Harris County, Texas, straight into the ground and hoping they’ll stop – is insane.
Things will not get better – unless we force things to change.
In my opinion, the strategies that “ELLIS/TURNER/LEE” and their regime have been using in the past have placed Harris County, Texas, one step away from a “STATE TAKEOVER."

Ray "RC" Charles Jones and his late wife, Etta Crockett, were committed to helping people like State Senator Borris L. Miles rise to power. After meeting with Ray "RC" Charles Jones and discussing the topic of "STRONG BLACK MEN," Ray "RC" Jones gave me a better understanding of how State Senator Borris Miles is and some of the things State Senator Miles has done for the community behind the scenes, but never bragged about in public.

There was a point and time in History when African American men were strong, brave, courageous, bold, and possessed intestinal fortitude. Today, finding an African American man involved in Harris County politics who dares to stand ten-toes-down against Commissioner Rodney Ellis and his regime has become challenging.
For the life of me, I can’t understand why people are afraid of Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Sylvester Turner, who are weak men who hide behind their surrogates and only bully women.
One of the men I’ve watched and come to admire from afar over the years is Ray “RC” Charles Jones. While I don’t know him all that well, I’ve always admired him from afar because of his stance against Commissioner Rodney Ellis in 2016, when he endorsed Gene Locke over Ellis to succeed Commissioner El Franco Lee after his sudden death.
Ray “RC” Charles Jones has an unmatched legacy of leadership spanning over five decades. A glimpse into his resume will give you a better understanding of why I believe he should have a platform to share his thoughts with my readers and advise me on local political matters.
From 1992 through 1993, Ray “RC” Charles Jones served as the “MINORITY LAISION” for the Texas State Comptroller’s Office. From 1985 through 1992, Ray “RC” Charles Jones served as the “FOUNDER/PARTNER” of Superior Waste Management.
According to his resume, Ray “RC” Charles Jones served as the President and CEO of 3M Waste Management from 1983 through 1992. He also served as a certified member of CEDHE Corporation for the Economic Development of Harris County from 1985 through 2000.
From 1978 through 1983, “Ray “RC” Charles Jones served as the president and CEO of R.J. Jones & Sons.
Many worldwide leaders and dignitaries remember “Ray “RC” Charles Jones for the fine limousines in his fleet when he owned Internation Limousine Service.

A strong District Attorney committed to protecting the general public is desperately needed. In my opinion, Thurgood Marshall School of Law grad Dan Simons is the right man for the job.
