For the record, on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, I took Carmen Maria Montiel to meet longtime Black Community Activist Gladys House, and the meeting went extremely well. As soon as Gladys House and Carmen Maria Montiel embraced one another, a bond was formed.

In case you don't know, Gladys House has one of the strongest voices in Freedmen's Town, that's located in Houston's historic Fourth Ward, inside the loop 610 Loop, on the outskirts of downtown Houston. This particular area of our city was a post-United States Civil War community that was built and settled by African-Americans.

If you ask me, this area and other predominantly Black areas are going to be crucial for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, in her fight to hold off Carmen Maria Montiel, since she no longer has Sunnyside and South Park inside her district. Stay tuned...

"Now is the time when our love for America must prevail. So, it is incumbent upon us to elect "PUBLIC SERVANTS" who understand that they work for us. We need "ELECTED OFFICIALS" in office who love "OUR CONSTITUTION" and the ideals that our nation was founded upon by our forefathers. That being said, we must make it our collective effort to "PUT PEOPLE OVER POLITICS" and do what's best for America during this pivotal moment in the history of our great nation."
