Twelve Democrat Judges Got Rejected During this Brutal 2022 Primary Season for Incumbent Democratic Judges

The 2022 Primary Season will go down in history as the most brutal primary season for incumbents in the history of Harris County, Texas. Back on "SUPER TUESDAY," which took place back on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, a total of (10) ten sitting Democratic judges got unseated by members of their own political party. And earlier this week, on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, the other two Democratic judges who found themselves in runoffs also go their walking papers from Democratic Party Primary voters.

Twelve Democrat Judges Got Rejected During this Brutal 2022 Primary Season for Incumbent Democratic Judges

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Every measurable I use to determine which party is going to dominate the fall "MIDTERM ELECTIONS" in Harris County, Texas seems to indicate that the (HCRP) Harris County Republican Party is poised to inflict some serious hurt on the (HCDP) Harris County Democratic Party in the down-ballot judicial races. How can I say this? Well, if you look back at the serious hurt that Democrats have already inflicted upon themselves in their inner-party squabble, one could easily surmise that we could be looking at what's called "ANTI-INCUMBENT YEAR" where voters are casting ballots for anyone but sitting incumbent Democratic members of the judiciary. Sure, anything can happen between now and Tuesday, November 8, 2022, when Democratic nominees, and Republican nominees, are set to face off against one another. However, with the crime continuing to rise at alarming rates, and public corruption at Harris County Commissioner's Court dominating headlines, vulnerabilities are beginning to show as down-ballot Democrat incumbents could get skipped over and voted against, simply because of the (D) Democrat letter in front of their name on the ballot.

A BIT OF FREE ADVICE

It's very clear that Democrats are facing an uphill battle as it relates to their "PARTY BRAND" right about now. And the folks in Washington D.C., aren't really helping out that much. So, during times like these, "DEMOCRATIC JUDICIAL CANDIDATES" must focus on their individual "JOB PERFORMANCE" and their "PERSONAL BRAND" to stand out in the crowd. And local sitting incumbent judges must make sure that they are not running in groups with their colleagues. Why? When candidates run in large groups together, they tend to get lost in the crowd and overshadowed. That said, Democrats must also try to appeal to potential voters beyond their party base in the fall.

NO STRAIGHT-TICKET VOTING

Some Democratic incumbent judges are like "SITTING DUCKS" and have absolutely no clue that many of the votes they received back during the last "MIDTERM ELECTION," they only got because of their "POLITICAL PARTY" affiliation at the time, and not on their own merits, or campaign prowess, if you ask me. What am I talking about? Well, let me explain it to you this way: every Democratic candidate who was running for a countywide position back during the Tuesday, November 6, 2018, Midterm election received 515,812 votes by way of straight-ticket voting. And comparatively speaking, every Republican candidate who was running countywide back during the Tuesday, November 6, 2018, Midterm election received 410,654 votes by way of straight-ticket voting. That being said, every down-ballot Democratic candidate who was running countywide during the last Midterm Election enjoyed a straight-ticket voting advantage of 105,158 straight-ticket votes, over their Republican counterpart.

AUBREY'S POWER RANKING

I've put together a "POWER-RANKING" to help "REGISTERED VOTERS" in Harris County, Texas to better understand, that they are the ones who hold the power, not politicians. In fact, the number of registered voters who are "NOT VOTING" is greater than the number of registered voters who are casting ballots during any given election year whereas Harris County, Texas is concerned. As an example, Beto O'Rourke received 700,200 votes in Harris County, Texas back on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, which was a historic number for a Midterm Election. However, what most people don't realize, is that 1,087,783 registered voters didn't even go to the polls to vote for former Congressman Beto O'Rourke, a Democrat, or Senator Ted Cruz, the Republican.

PRIMARIES WERE BRUTAL

If you haven't been paying attention, (12) twelve sitting Democratic Party Judges have already been rejected by registered voters in Harris County, Texas. And the interesting thing about this is that these incumbent judges were rejected by the voters from their own political party.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "Now is the time when our love for America must prevail. It is incumbent upon us to elect "PUBLIC SERVANTS" who understand that they work for us. We need "ELECTED OFFICIALS" in office who love "OUR CONSTITUTION" and the ideals that our nation was founded upon by our forefathers. We must make it our collective effort to "PUT PEOPLE OVER POLITICS" and do what's best for America during this crucial moment in time."

Favoritism and Party Politics Have No Place Inside Our Harris County Courtrooms

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

At the end of the day, the judicial races are the most important races on the ballot. That said, who we allow to put on that black robe and occupy judicial benches (especially in Harris County, Texas) matters a great deal. Over the years, through straight-ticket voting, and folks going into the polls playing "Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe" we've allowed a few bad folks to slip through the cracks. Now, I'm not trying to play party politics in any way, shape, or form, with my words. All I'm trying to say is that nobody is perfect, but if we make it our goal to elevate people who fear God and have a backbone into positions of authority, every one of us will be afforded the opportunity to live our best life.
