"God Is With You" is a Thought for Today, published by Aubrey R Taylor, publisher of Houston Business Connections Magazine

“You can do it! No force on earth can stop God’s plan for your life from coming to pass. Now, that doesn’t mean that your dream is going to be realized by just sitting around and waiting on God to bring it to pass. But it does mean, that He can direct and guide us to develop relationships; run for political office; get the education we need for the profession He’s chosen for us; start the ministry He desires for us to have…I think you get the picture. What I’m trying to say, is at the end of the day, we must be active participants in the process of realizing the dreams God has placed in our hearts. Here’s some good news I found for you: “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” See I told you God is with you! Anyway, I found this in the book of Isaiah 41:10 in the New King James Version (NKJV) of the Bible.” -- AUBREY R. TAYLOR

LORD I thank you for being with me today! I am not dismayed. My confidence is in You. My trust is in You. I will not fear. I thank You in advance for directing me in the way that I should go today.

Here are a few of the candidates whom I believe are eyeing the chance to succeed Mayor Annise Parker in the Tuesday, November 3, 2015 City of Houston Mayoral Election: Attorney Ben Hall, Attorney Chris Bell, State Rep. Sylvester Turner, Attorney Eric Dick, City Council Member Oliver Pennington, City Council Member Stephen Costello, Former Kemah Mayor Bill King, and Attorney Sean Roberts

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2015 for the 2015 City of Houston Mayoral Election. And I am looking forward to a record turnout, clean competitive races, and hopeful that we get a mayor who is committed to representing our entire city – not special interest groups.

FRIENDLY REMINDER

Don't forget to do all the research you can on the 2015 candidates running for City of Houston Mayor, City of Houston Controller, and Houston City Council in the Tuesday, November 3, 2015 City of Houston Mayoral Election.

"According to an ABCNews/Beliefnet Poll 83 percent of Americans identify themselves as Christians. So to this end, it makes perfect sense for us to get Christians engaged, empowered, informed, and excited about the process of choosing those who govern on the local, state, and federal levels in America. So don't forget about what Proverbs 29:2 teaches us: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." -- AUBREY

"Don't Doubt" is a Motivational Thought for Today, published by Aubrey R. Taylor, publisher of Houston Business Connections

"Don't Doubt"

“Don’t change your mind. I don’t care where you find yourself today; God’s plan for your life can still be realized at any moment. He hasn’t changed His mind about you. Suffered a setback? Fell short? Sinned? Been disobedient? Well, simply ask God for forgiveness, and keep it moving. He still loves you! People will sometimes let you down; but not God. He’s forever faithful. I found this in the book of James 1:6- 7 in the New King James Version (NKJV) of the Bible and wanted to share it with you today! Here goes: “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.” So don’t doubt God. Ask for what you need in faith: and keep it moving as God’s good plan for your life continues to unfold.” -- AUBREY R. TAYLOR

LORD I thank you for always answering my prayers. I trust, honor, and depend on You; and You alone. I have no doubt that you are working on my behalf; and causing your good plan for my life to unfold. I will not doubt.
