Cindy Siegel, the chairman of the Harris County Republican Party (HCRP), did not fill out a full slate of down-ballot candidates for the upcoming Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential Election, which is problematic. On the other side of the aisle, Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP), is having a difficult time getting his "DEMOCRATIC NOMINEES" to buy into his coordinated efforts after he was alleged to have favored some "JUDICIAL NOMINEES" over others. Whatever the case, Mike Doyle (bottom second from left), Sean Teare (bottom far left), and other down-ballot Democrats had better get their act together and get on the same page. IN OTHER NEWS... Dan Simons, a proud Thurgood Marshall Law School Graduate, has set his sights on making history on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, by becoming the first Harris County District Attorney with roots linking to Texas Southern University (TSU), smack dab in the middle of Houston's historic Third Ward, which is a Democratic voting stronghold.
Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth is one of the best County Clerks in America. All political bosses, analysts, antagonists, conspiracy theorists, and haters are strongly encouraged to give her the benefit of the doubt and watch her perform her duties professionally on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas.
Mike Doyle and Cindy Siegel Are Both Running ‘Severally Underfunded’ Coordinated Campaigns in Harris County, Texas, in 2024
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
Harris County Clerk Tenisha Hudspeth completed her “LOGIC & ACCURACY TEST” for Tuesday, November 5, 2024, for the Presidential Election for Harris County, Texas, on Thursday, September 20, 2024. My investigative team has just finished reviewing her report, and the “CUMULATIVE RESULTS FOR EVERY RACE” shows “ZERO”; everything appears to be in order and ready to go.
My team and I have complete confidence in Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth’s abilities and believe she will conduct an honest, fair election to the best of her abilities.
Teneshia has been with the County Clerk’s office for more than 16 years and has served under four County Clerks. She began her career as a Mickey Leland Congressional Intern. She went on to work as the public affairs administrative assistant in the County Clerk’s Office and, six positions later, was elected Harris County Clerk.
We have one of the best county clerks in America, Teneshia Hudspeth. According to her website, she earned her degree in communications at Texas Southern University.
“She is also a graduate of the Leadership Houston (Class 34) and the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University,” her website states. “Clerk Hudspeth is currently the 1st Vice President of the Houston Chapter of Women Professionals in Government and Serves as 2nd Vice President for the Executive Board of the International Association of Government Officials; however, these are only a few of the many community organizations she supports.”
Her website states, “Clerk Hudspeth’s innate desire to serve the community through volunteer work and leadership positions has taught her that service to the community is not a chore but a way of life.”
“County Clerk’s primary goal is to provide the public with quality customer service. She is committed to improving government services through new technology to make them readily available and accessible.”
Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, must act quickly and find different revenue streams to support his “2024 COORDINATED CAMPAIGN” before it is too late.
And as for Cindy Siegel, the chairman of the Harris County Republican Party, she beat Mike Doyle’s “ENDORSED CANDIDATES” in those Harris Central Appraisal District races a few months ago. Still, there’s a big difference between winning an election with a piss-pour total of 29,000 votes and having your down-ballot nominees appeal to 700,000 to 900,000 voters on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
“BAD STRATEGIES.”
Many Democrats running for office in Harris County, Texas, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, are making a huge tactical blunder by not running competitive campaigns against their Republican rivals. Maybe down-ballot Democrats didn’t get the memo – or perhaps they’re listening to the wrong consultants.
A low voter turnout in Harris County, Texas, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, will heavily favor down-ballot Republican candidates. Why? Well, local Democrats had better wake up and realize that Republicans don’t necessarily flock to polls because of their emotions—they vote with intention.
Democratic voters tend to vote for symbolic reasons, excitement, and elections that may have historical significance—take the historic 2008 Presidential Election and the 2012 Presidential Election when President Barack Obama was on the ballot in Harris County, Texas, for instance.
There’s a significant difference between the authentic energy and sense of pride we all felt before the historic Tuesday, November 4, 2008, Presidential Election when Barack Obama, a United States Senator at the time, was facing off against Senator John McCain.
There was a different feeling when President Barack Obama found himself running for reelection in the 2012 presidential election against U.S. Senator Mitt Romney on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, in what turned out to be a razor-thin affair in Harris County, Texas.
“A GLANCE AT 2008.”
On Tuesday, November 4, 2008, there were 1,892,656 registered voters in Harris County, Texas, but only 1,188,731 registered voters cast ballots.
Only 343,919 Republicans cast a “STRAIGHT-TICKET VOTE” in Harris County, Texas, with 391,488 Democrats voting a straight Democratic ticket.
In the 2008 presidential race, John McCain/Sarah Palin received 571,883 votes, for 48.82% of the vote, and Barack Obama/Joe Biden received 590,982 votes, for 50.45%, a differential of 19,099 votes.
“A GLANCE AT 2012.”
On Tuesday, November 6, 2012, there were 1,942,566 registered voters in Harris County, Texas. However, only 1,204,167 registered voters cast ballots in Harris County, Texas.
Only 404,165 Republicans cast a “STRAIGHT-TICKET VOTE” in Harris County, Texas, with 406,991 Democrats voting for a straight Democratic ticket.
In the 2012 presidential race, Mitt Romney/Paul Ryan received 586,073 votes, for 49.31% of the vote, and Barack Obama/Joe Biden received 587,044 votes, for 49.39%, a differential of 971 votes.
“A GLANCE AT 2016.”
On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, there were 2,182,980 registered voters in Harris County, Texas. However, only 1,338,898 registered voters cast ballots in Harris County, Texas.
Only 401,663 Republicans cast a “STRAIGHT-TICKET VOTE” in Harris County, Texas, with 472,030 Democrats voting a straight Democratic ticket.
In the 2016 presidential race, Donald J. Trump/Mike R. Pence received 545,955 votes, for 41.61% of the vote, and Hillary Clinton/Tim Kaine received 707,914, for 53.95%, a differential of 161,959 votes.
“GAME-CHANGER.”
In the 85th Regular Session (2017), the Texas Legislature enacted House Bill 25, which amended the Texas Election Code and abolished the practice of “STRAIGHT-TICKET VOTING” in Texas. However, the amendment did not take effect until September 1, 2020, which was just in time to impact the historic 2020 Presidential Election featuring Donald J. Trump/Michael R. Pence on the Republican ticket, running for reelection against Joseph R. Biden/Kamala D. Harris, as the Democratic nominees, seeking to claim the White House.
“A GLANCE AT 2020.”
On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, there were 2,431,457 registered voters in Harris County, Texas. However, only 1,656,686 registered voters cast ballots in Harris County, Texas.
Unlike the 2016 Presidential Election, Texas voters were not allowed to cast a “STRAIGHT-TICKET VOTE” in 2020 because HB 25 went into effect on September 1, 2020.
In the 2020 presidential race, Donald J. Trump/Michael R. Pence received 700,630 votes, for 42.70% of the vote, and Joseph R. Biden/Kamala D. Harris received 918,193 votes, for 55.96%, a differential of 217,563 votes.
“MY 2024 ANALYSIS.”
Before I get to my analysis and predictions for Tuesday, November 5, 2024, everyone must realize that Vice President Kamala Harris is not Obama's second coming. The vice president faces an uphill battle to claim the White House.
The race for president of the United States isn’t decided by how many people turn out to vote. Winning the presidency takes a highly strategic effort on the national front, with local down-ballot candidates acting as surrogates in states all across America.
With early voting quickly approaching, local Democrats are mostly playing right into the hands of their Republican counterparts by continuing to run their campaigns as if Tuesday, November 5, 2024, were a primary election.
Both local parties are suffering from a severe leadership void. The Harris County Republican Party left too many “DOWN-BALLOT JUDICIAL RACES” unchallenged in Harris County, Texas. To make matters worse, the HCRP appears to be running a risky strategy of hoping “DEMOCRATIC VOTERS” will not show up at the polls to vote in 2024, which is a bad strategy.
Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, needs to understand that it’s his job to rally his Harris County Democratic Party voter base to turnout on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, when his “DEMOCRATIC NOMINEES” face off against their Republican rivals.
Cindy Siegel, the chairman of the Harris County Republican Party, must realize that she’s failed her party by not fielding more “DOWN-BALLOT JUDICIAL RACES” with candidates.
I like Cindy Siegel a lot, but the truth is the truth! Cindy Siegel is responsible for rallying her base to vote for her “REPUBLICAN NOMINEES,” but from my vantage point Cindy appears to be failing at her job.
“THE NOMINEES.”
What the “DEMOCRATIC NOMINEES” and the “REPUBLICAN NOMINEES” are supposed to be doing is using the campaign cash they’ve raised to run competitive campaigns – not hoarding the money they’ve raised.
And the nominees who are on the ballot representing the (HCDP) and the (HCRP) are supposed to be using their hard-earned “CAMPAIGN CASH” to expand the base of their respective parties by wooing “INDEPENDENT VOTERS” to support their candidacy.
“CLOSING THOUGHTS.”
As it stands right now, “DEMOCRATS” are heavy favorites, but “REPUBLICANS” have some outstanding down-ballot countywide matchups where they have the better candidate – but they aren’t the correct strategy for their candidates to appeal to “OPEN-MINDED VOTERS” who happen to be people of color – which is problematic.
