State Senator Borris Miles is widely known as the "SON OF SUNNYSIDE" in some local Democratic circles. However, with State Senator Miles and other well-known Black elected officials running unopposed in the Tuesday, March 1, 2022, Democratic Party Primary many Black voters appear to be staying home. That being said, if you look at the comparison above, you will see that through the first two days of early voting back during the 2020 Democratic Party Primary 461 votes were cast at the Sunnyside Multi-Service Center. Comparatively speaking, through the first two days of early voting for the 2022 Democratic Party Primary, only 230 voters have gone to the polls to vote in person.
Black Voter Turnout is Way Down Through Two Days of Early Voting in Democratic Strongholds Like Sunnyside and Acres Homes
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
It's still a little too early to tell, but it's beginning to look like Democrats are going to have a tough time getting Black voters to turn out for them in the 2022 Midterm Elections. And with the Harris County Republican Party putting forth one of the most diverse fields of candidates they've ever assembled, Democrats who will be running countywide could be sent packing.
KEY DEMOCRATIC STRONGHOLDS
Traditional Black "DEMOCRATIC STRONGHOLDS" like the Sunnyside Multi-Service Center, Acres Homes Multi-Service Center, Hiram Clarke Multi-Service Center, Kashmere Gardens Mult-Service Center, Northeast Multi-Service Center, and Texas Southern University may be difficult to turnout in the fall. That being said, while many Democrats continue to play around on social media, Republicans have quietly stacked their field with candidates like Rashard Baylor, who is seeking the nomination in the race for State Rep. for House District 147, on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in the Republican Party Primary. Now, without straight-ticket voting as an option, I believe that House District 147 and several others, could be in play. Why? Well, because a candidate like Rashard Baylor, has family, friends, and neighbors who are going to cast their votes for him. And, if you take a look at the 2-day (in-person) turnout numbers for the 2022 Democratic Party Primary, and compare them to the 2-day (in-person) turnout numbers, for these primaries, you will see a clear decrease in predominantly "BLACK VOTING STRONGHOLDS" that the Harris County Democratic Party have been able to rely heavily upon for several decades.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "Now is the time when our love for America must prevail. It is incumbent upon us to elect "PUBLIC SERVANTS" who understand that they work for the people. We need "ELECTED OFFICIALS" in office who love "OUR CONSTITUTION" and the ideals that our nation was founded upon by our forefathers. We must endeavor to "PUT PEOPLE OVER POLITICS" and do what's best for America during this crucial moment during the history of our great nation."
We Must Make it Our Business to Put "People Over Politics" in the 2022 Midterm Election & Beyond...
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
Make no mistake about it, who the people of Harris County, Texas choose to give another term to in 2022 must be about substance, job performance, judicial temperament, competence, and whether or not our members of the judiciary are following the law with their rulings. And that being said, in the upcoming 2022 Midterms, it is incumbent upon the voters of Harris County to evaluate the job performance of each and every sitting "ELECTED OFFICIAL" on a case-by-case basis and not as a group based on their political party affiliation, ethnicity, or gender.
