Aubrey R. Taylor Communications would like to thank Fort Bend County Chairman Bobby Eberle for recognizing the contributions Charlie Kirk made to the lives of countless Americans.

Special Candlelight Vigil for Charlie Kirk in Sugar Land, Texas
Together with the Indo-American Conservatives of Texas (I-ACT), the Fort Bend County Republican Party will be organizing a candlelight vigil to honor and remember the tremendous impact Charlie Kirk had on America's young people and the entire country.
The way to honor Charlie Kirk and his legacy is for all of us to continue to speak out, continue to spread the word, and continue to move this country in a better direction. Truth can never be allowed to be silenced. We are now the messengers, and we must draw strength from each other.
Please make plans to attend:

The Fort Bend County Republican Party, in spirit, if you cannot attend the candlelight vigil being held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Sugar Land Town Square, to honor and remember Charlie Kirk, one of America's most outstanding leaders, whose life was cut short by an assassin's bullet.

Fort Bend County Republican Party Chairman took a moment to salute his three strong members on the Fort Bend County Commissioners Court on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

"EBERLY STATEMENT."
"The Fort Bend County Republican Party proudly salutes our Republican Commissioners on the Commissioners Court.
In the face of a hostile County Attorney and an office that clearly represents its own interests rather than those of Fort Bend County, our Republican leaders stood strong.
Republican Commissioners Andy Meyers and Vincent Morales, together with Republican County Judge KP George, fought to keep the redistricting process on track and to ensure fairness and transparency for the people of Fort Bend County.
The citizens of this county are grateful for your hard work, courage, and dedication to public service."
- BOBBY EBERLY -
Chairman, Fort Bend County Republican Party

Harris County Attorney Christian Menefee's Campaign has finally come to the realization that his efforts need to be on securing endorsements, raising money, and doing whatever it takes to defeat Amanda Edwards and Jolanda Jones in the Tuesday, November 4, 2025, "SPECIAL ELECTION" race for the 18th Congressional District of Texas. That said, picking up the Houston Black American Democrats (H-BAD) and Harris County Tejano Democrat endorsements is a massive boost to County Attorney Christian Menefee's Congressional Campaign.

Carmen Maria Montiel, the Republican (GOP) "Greater Opportunity Party" candidate, has received the coveted endorsement of TJ Baker, who was one of the top-contending Democratic candidates until she stepped aside and endorsed Carmen in the Special Election for the 18th Congressional District. She has also been proudly supported by Dr. Steven Hotze, M.D., the founder of Conservative Republicans of Texas, and Attorney Gary Polland, the founder of the Texas Conservative Review. However, getting long-time Community Advocate and Activist Gladys House to get behind her is a big deal.

Early voting will begin on Monday, October 20, 2025, and end on Friday, October 31, 2025. Election day voting will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025. Please don't forget to join Hall of Fame KCOH Broadcaster Ralph Cooper, and Joe Danna (GOP), the "Greater Opportunity Party," candidate running for Harris County Sheriff in the voting on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

"CD-18 HISTORY."
In 1972, when the 18th Congressional District of Texas was drawn to specifically elect the late Barbara Jordan, it was predominantly African American. However, today, Carmen Maria Montiel, the front running Hispanic/Republican (GOP) “Greater Opportunity Party” candidate, is the only person in the CD-18 race, with a Hispanic surname, which gives her a decided advantage, in CD-18, which is 43.4% Hispanic, 32.2% Black, 16.7% White, 4.9% Asian, 2.2% Two or more races, and 0.7% other.

"1973-1979."
Barbara Jordan represented the people of the 18th Congressional District from January 3, 1973, through January 3, 1979. Congresswoman Barbara Jordan represented the people of the 18th Congressional District of Texas to the best of her abilities.

"1979-1989."
Mickey Leland represented the people of the 18th Congressional District from January 3, 1979, through August 7, 1989, before dying in a plane crash while on a mission trip. Congressman Mickey Leland was beloved by his constituents and represented the people of the 18th Congressional District of Texas to the best of his abilities.

"1989-1995."
Craig Washington represented the people of the 18th Congressional District from December 9, 1989, through January 3, 1995. Congressman Craig Washington is the last surviving representative of the 18th Congressional District, besides Erica Lee Carter, the daughter of the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. Craig Washington was defeated by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee after she was recruited by Ken Lay, the disgraced CEO, and a few of his buddies, to unseat Congressman Washington, who would not bend his knee to their demands.

"1995-2024."
Sheila Jackson Lee was revered by many, respected by others, and hated with a vengeance by many of her Republican constituents. However, like her or not, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee was a leader and loved the people of the 18th Congressional District of Texas with all her heart. Sure, "SHE-JACK" was a little selfish and egotistical, but she was firm in her convictions and demanded excellence from those whom she allowed into her orbit. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee represented the people of the 18th Congressional District from January 3, 2025, through July 19, 2024.

"2024-2025."
Erica Lee Carter went to work for Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, the Precinct One County Commissioner, in 2020. To be brutally honest, if Commissioner Rodney Ellis had instructed Erica Lee Carter to run for the "FULL-TERM" after her mother's untimely death, the people of the 18th Congressional District would not be going through what they're going through today. However, Commissioner Rodney Ellis ran former Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner for the "FULL-TERM," even though Turner was gravely ill at the time. So, in essence, the predicament the people of the 18th Congressional District of Texas find themself in right now is the end result of Commissioner Rodney Ellis's bone-headed decision to run Sylvester Turner, who was dying, instead of Erica Lee Carter, for the "FULL-TERM," to succeed Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, after her untimely death. Erica Lee Carter served the people of the 18th Congressional District from November 12, 2024, through January 3, 2025.

"2025-2025."
Sylvester Turner was a great State Representative for House District 139, but he was a horrible Mayor for the City of Houston. And when it comes to being a member of the United States Congress, his tenure wasn't long enough for anyone to know what kind of Congressman "SLY" could have evolved into. Congressman Sylvester Turner served in the United States Congress from January 3, 2025, through March 5, 2025.
