Incorrect Early Voting Numbers Have Been Reported; Calls for DOJ Monitors Have Been Rebuffed by the Republicans

Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis (second from right) and former Mayor Sylvester Turner (far right) believe that votes could be getting suppressed in Texas, and the Department of Justice (DOJ) monitors are needed to watch over the voting process today. Harris County Republican Party Chairman Cindy Siegel, Commissioner Tom Ramsey, and State Senator Paul Bettencourt believe Democrats are trying to stir up their base with Commissioner Ellis and his allies' false claims of "VOTER SUPPRESSION." The polls will open at 7:00a.m. and close at 7:00p.m. tonight. (CLICK HERE) Please take a moment to review our "2024 VOTER EMPOWERMENT SLATE" before going to the polls.

Incorrect Early Voting Numbers Have Been Reported; Calls for DOJ Monitors Have Been Rebuffed by the Republicans

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Things have turned ugly in Harris County, Texas, with one day of voting left. The polls will open at 7:00 a.m. this morning (Tuesday, November 5, 2024) and close at 7:00p.m. tonight.

Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth will drop the first set of numbers around 7:15p.m. to 7:30p.m., which her office already has waiting to be released.

The first “ELECTION DAY NUMBERS” set should be released around 9:00p.m., with updates coming throughout the night. However, don’t expect the final numbers to be released until well after 1:00a.m. or even earlier on Wednesday, November 6, 2024—which is okay.

It is highly plausible that the “ABSENTEE MAIL BALLOT COUNT” will be very close for the countywide races, with Democrats possibly holding a slight lead, but not anything like the humongous leads they held back during the 2020 Presidential Election in the absentee mail ballot category.

When the “EARLY VOTING TOTALS” are released around 7:15p.m. to 7:30p.m., don’t be surprised if Republicans (not Democrats) have a slight lead regarding the absentee mail ballots.

“VOTER SUPPRESSION.”

Democratic leaders like Commissioner Rodney Ellis, former Mayor Sylvester Turner, and others have expressed the need for “FEDERAL MONITORS” from the Department of Justice to come into Texas and observe the proceedings today.

Commissioner Rodney Ellis is requesting for “DOJ MONITORS” to come into Harris County and other parts of Texas because Texas, according to Commissioner Rodney, is one of the most voter-restrictive states in America.

On the other hand, Harris County Republican Party Chairman Cindy Siegel claims that Democrats are calling in “DOJ MONITORS” to monitor Democrats because they’re the ones in charge of monitoring the election in Harris County, Texas.

“FAULTY NUMBERS.”

Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth announced late Monday that the early voting numbers she reported could be off due to a formatting issue within the county's spreadsheet to keep track of the numbers.

“STATEMENT OF FACTS.”

According to Hudspeth, "In the process of updating the daily record of early vote totals for two vote centers (Baytown Community Center and Mission Bend Center), the formatting of the spreadsheet inadvertently misaligned, causing cells to shift and reflect incorrect numbers for other locations. Our office is aware and is actively working to correct the report. A gentle reminder, as stated in red at the bottom of the early vote total report, the numbers of early voters by personal appearance are UNOFFICIAL until all administrative documents collected from each voting center are reviewed and reconciled in accordance with the Texas Elections Code (TEC). I assure you that every vote that was cast will be accurately tallied."

“EARLY BALLOTS.”

Besides the in-person totals being off, Aubrey R. Taylor Communications has noticed the reporting of the same number of “ABSENTEE MAIL BALLOTS” being received on two consecutive days during the early voting period.

On Tuesday, October 29, 2024, and Wednesday, October 30, 2024, the Harris County Clerk reported that 2,780 absentee mail ballots were cast. After reviewing data made publicly available by the Harris County Clerk’s Office, our investigators found that 2,779 absentee mail ballots were scanned in by the Harris County Clerk’s Office on both days.

“CLOSING THOUGHTS.”

Rain is expected in the Houston area today. That said, please be careful on the roads as you travel to your “ELECTION DAY” voting location. Also, please plan to use “OUR ENDORSEMENT SLATE” as a guide to assist you in making an informed voting decision.
