The Houston Business Connections Newspaper© Reader Board Has Decided to Not Make an Endorsement in the race for President of the United States in 2020

The last time our Houston Business Connections Newspaper© Reader Board issued endorsements was back on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, in the Presidential Election. Back then, our nonpartisan “READER BOARD” made recommendations in (67) sixty-seven key races in Harris County, Texas. In case you don’t remember, (51) fifty-one of the (67) sixty-seven candidates endorsed by our “READER BOARD” went on to win the race for which they were running. So, just so you know, our (15) fifteen-member “READER BOARD” is comprised of mostly attorneys who receive a list of recommendations directly from me, the publisher. Once I submit my recommendations, they are discussed and voted upon, and a final list of recommendations is created. Now, if for some reason I do not agree with a choice that was made by the “READER BOARD” in any particular race, I hold the power to add the name of the candidate I think is best in the race in question – triggering a “DUAL-ENDORSEMENT” in that particular race. After that, we release our endorsement list to our readership as a tool to assist them with identifying “DULY-QUALIFIED” candidates who respect, appreciate, and value their vote, prayers, and support. So, for full disclosure, please be informed that the printing of our “ELECTION GUIDE” is made possible through the generous support we receive from our advertisers and other supporters. Advertising is the life-blood of our newspaper. However, advertising in our publications, or using the services we provide does not in any way, shape, or form mean that a given advertiser will be endorsed by our “READER BOARD” in any particular election cycle. However, just so you know, as the publisher, I do strongly advocate for our clients and encourage our readers to give “SPECIAL CONSIDERATION” to the “DULY-QUALIFIED” people who make what we do possible.

The last day that you can get registered to vote is on Monday, February 3, 2020. Early voting will begin on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. Steve prevailed in several lawsuits taken to trial or appeal, despite Monsanto’s repeated efforts to restrict his ability to file suit against them. His most recent suit against Monsanto resulted in a $46,500,000 judgment and verdict. Shortly thereafter, a confidential settlement was obtained for his three clients and their families.
Steve also has extensive experience in insurance coverage litigation, successfully representing homeowners and business owners in actions arising out of coverage disputes between insurers and policyholders, as well as bad faith actions arising out of coverage disputes. Steve helps families obtain favorable judgments against national insurance carriers who wrongfully deny benefits to policyholders.
