Covid-19 Funds Have Been Halted by The Health Resources Administration (HRSA); No Longer Accepting Claims

It's game over for COVID-19 funding. In case you haven't heard, The Heath Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) stopped accepting claims from healthcare providers for COVID-19 testing and treatment a couple days ago, back on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. And on Monday, April 5, 2022, HRSA will stop accepting vaccination claims altogether. However, Bishop James Dixon, President, NAACP Houston Branch, The Honorable Al Green, U.S. House of Representatives, Congressional District 9, The Honorable Rodney Ellis, Commissioner, Harris County Precinct One, and The Honorable Sheila Jackson Lee, U.S. House of Representatives, Congressional District 18, have gotten together and will be hosting a “ZOOM FORUM” later tonight, Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to discuss other options.

Covid Funding Has Been Halted by The Health Resources Administration; No Longer Accepting Claims As of March 22, 2022

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

I received an email from the executive director of the Houston Branch of the NAACP, informing me that the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) has stopped excepting claims from healthcare providers for COVID-19 testing and treatment. From what I understand, HRSA stopped accepting claims a couple days ago, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, and will stop accepting vaccination claims on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. So, now the NAACP Houston Branch has decided to urge the Harris County congressional delegation to continue funding COVID-19 medical treatment and vaccination for the uninsured, according to the email I received.

A ZOOM FORUM IS HAPPENING TONIGHT FROM 7:00PM TO 8:00PM

Based on my understanding, Bishop James Dixon, President, NAACP Houston Branch, Dr. Joseph Gathe, Health Chair, NAACP Houston Branch, The Honorable Al Green, U.S. House of Representatives, Congressional District 9, The Honorable Sheila Jackson Lee, U.S. House of Representatives, Congressional District 18, and The Honorable Rodney Ellis, Commissioner, Harris County Precinct One, have gotten together and will be hosting a “ZOOM FORUM” later tonight, Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to discuss other options.

ADDRESSING THE NEEDS OF VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES IN HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS

Also, according to the email, The NAACP Houston Branch says that they are committed to advocating and serving “THE MOST VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES,” who will experience what they consider to be the most adverse impact due to the announced loss of COVID-19 medical services. That being said, anyone interested in hearing about the solutions that are being offered up by Dr. Joseph Gathe, Bishop James Dixon, Congressman Al Green, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and Commissioner Rodney Ellis should register for the forum.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "Now is the time when our love for America must prevail. It is incumbent upon us to elect "PUBLIC SERVANTS" who understand that they work for us. We need "ELECTED OFFICIALS" in office who love "OUR CONSTITUTION" and the ideals that our nation was founded upon by our forefathers. We must make it our collective effort to "PUT PEOPLE OVER POLITICS" and do what's best for America during this crucial moment in time."

Favoritism and Party Politics Have No Place Inside Our Harris County Courtrooms

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

At the end of the day, the judicial races are the most important races on the ballot. That said, who we allow to put on that black robe and occupy judicial benches (especially in Harris County, Texas) matters a great deal. Over the years, through straight-ticket voting, and folks going into the polls playing "Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe" we've allowed a few bad folks to slip through the cracks. Now, I'm not trying to play party politics in any way, shape, or form, with my words. All I'm trying to say is that nobody is perfect, but if we make it our goal to elevate people who fear God and have a backbone into positions of authority, every one of us will be afforded the opportunity to live our best life.
