Houston Business Connections Newspaper© Would Like to Congratulate All 2018 Democratic and Republican, Candidates Who Have Earned their Respective Party's Nomination to Appear on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, Midterm Election Ballot in Harris County, Texas

ANALYSIS BY AUBREY R. TAYLOR

There’s a lot of talk about Texas being a red state floating around. Sure, traditionally that has been the case. But after the historic showing put on display by Texas Democrats on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, reasonable minds would have to agree that the aforementioned distinction could possibly be on the verge of becoming a hue of a different shade in the very near future – if Democrats have anything to say about it in the fall. But Tuesday, November 6, 2018, the day when Democratic hopefuls and Republican hopefuls are set to face off is still a little way’s off. Before we get there, we must first take care of a little unfinished inter-party business. So, let’s not forget about Tuesday, May 22, 2018 a day when Democrats and Republicans who failed to capture a majority of the vote back on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, must square off once more against their fellow inter-party rival in hopes of earning the “HIGHLY COVETED DISTINCTION” of “PARTY NOMINEE” for the Tuesday, November 6,, 2018 Midterm Election! Cosme Garcia, Dylan Osborne, Danyahel "Danny" Norris, Prince E. Bryant, II, Diane Trautman, Gayle Young Mitchell, Fran Watson, Rita Lucido, Jeff Williams, Mike Wolfe, Josh Wallenstein, Richard Cantu, Lizzie Pannill Fletcher, Laura Moser, Lupe Valdez, Andrew White, Marilyn Burgess, Rozzy Shorter, Michelle Fraga, Richard Risinger, Phillip Aronoff, Carmen Maria Montiel, Sandra G. Moore, Marty Schexnayder, Sharon M. Burney, Cheryl Elliott Thornton, Sri Preston Kulkarni, Letitia Plummer, Tawana Walter Cadien and Mike Siegel are the key candidates who need you to return to the polls on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 to cast a vote for them. In case you don’t already know, Monday, April 23, 2018, is the last day to register to vote in the Tuesday, May 22, 2018, Runoff Election in Texas. The first day of early voting is on Monday, May 14, 2018; and the last day to vote early in the Runoff Election is on Friday, May 18, 2018 – so don’t forget to vote early. Once the runoff business is taken care of, we must make it our business to elect the "BEST-QUALIFIED" candidates who value our vote in the midterms. Houston Business Connections Newspaper is published by Aubrey R. Carroll G. Robinson and Bill Frazer are two Candidates Dreaming of Becoming the next City of Houston Controller in 2015

FEATURED SUPPORTER: "Carroll G. Robinson is a key supporter of our mission to build an "ENVIRONMENT" to assist "BELIEVERS" with identifying "LEADERS" in Education, Corporate America, Business, Elected Public Offices, and Ministry who value our lives, support, patronage, and vote. As of the date of this blog post Attorney Carroll Robinson is the only candidate in the race for City of Houston Controller in the 2015 City of Houston Mayoral Election who is asking for our vote. I believe we can make Houston even better if we support leaders who care about us; and are willing to share of their time, talent, experience, and resources to make it better. We must become active participants in the process of using our voting power to propel people of faith into positions of authority on the local, state, and federal levels. Be empowered!"  -- AUBREY R. TAYLOR

“Few folks will argue against the fact that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was one of the greatest civil rights leaders our world has ever known. God certainly gifted him for the call He placed on His life. But the good news today; is that God has also gifted, favored and anointed you and me for the call He’s placed on our lives as well. Our unique gifts can create opportunities for us. Our gift is a tool God intended for us to use to create the good life He planned for us here in the earth. Your gift will make room for you my friend. Check this out: “A man’s gift makes room for him, And brings him before great men.” I found this in the book of Proverbs 18:16 in the New King James Version (NKJV) of the Bible. Go after your dream!” -- AUBREY R. TAYLOR

LORD I thank you and praise you for the gift, favor, and anointing You’ve given me. I also thank You for the doors You are opening for me. I also grateful for the courage and strength You’ve imparted into me that I may boldly go after the dream You’ve planted in my heart today. Thank your Jesus!

Voters in the City of Houston will be challenged with daunting task of identifying the best candidate to represent their interests between now and Election Day. Our hope is that Houstonians will go into this very important election with an open mind and heart, and choose the candidate who values, respects, appreciates, and asks for our vote and support in the race for City of Houston Controller. Again, you are urged, encouraged, and implored to support candidates in the race for mayor, controller, and city council that values and respects our vote.

FRIENDLY REMINDER

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2015 for the 2015 City of Houston Mayoral Election. And I am looking forward to a record turnout, clean competitive races, and hopeful that we get a mayor who is committed to representing our entire city – not special interest groups and their "BIG-MONEY" donors who donated to their political campaigns.

"According to an ABCNews/Beliefnet Poll 83 percent of Americans identify themselves as Christians. So to this end, it makes perfect sense for us to get Christians engaged, empowered, informed, and excited about the process of choosing those who govern on the local, state, and federal levels in America. So don't forget about what Proverbs 29:2 teaches us: "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." -- AUBREY

“It's not possible to see everything God is doing on our behalf from the vantage point we're sitting at today. But God’s plan for your life; and mine too, is a good one. He’s got your back. It may not look like it at times; but He's working it all out according to his timetable and schedule! Romans 8:28 states, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." He has a purpose, plan, and winning strategy He's causing to unfold on your behalf. Be blessed, empowered, and inspired today!”

LORD I thank You. LORD I praise You. And I magnify and glorify Your holy, righteous, and precious name. You are King of Kings; and You are LORD OF LORDS. And You are worthy to be praised.
