Congressman Turner and former State Rep. Shawn Thierry Attended President Trump's Black History Month Reception

Congressman Sylvester Turner (D-TX) was front and center at President Donald J. Trump's "NATIONAL BLACK HISTORY MONTH" reception at the White House on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Shawn Thierry was also in the house. Remember, Former Democrat State Rep. Shawn Thierry bolted from the Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP) and joined "THE GOP" after she could no longer tolerate the alleged repeated sexual advances of people like Kay Shepard, a Harris County Democratic Party Precinct Chair (Precinct #30), who is a member of the "LGBTQ+ Community.". Thierry appears to have found her groove in "THE GOP" on the local, statewide, and national stage as Governor Greg Abbott and now President Donald J. Trump have fully embraced her in the wake of the upcoming 2026 Midterm Elections, where "THE GOP" plans to expand its inroads into the Black community. Former State Rep. Shawn Thierry and Governor Greg Abbott are both true "TEXAS TRAILBLAZERS" in their own right. Texas is freer because of Governor Greg Abbott's leadership and policies. For nearly 200 years, Texas has been self-reliant and religiously defended liberty and freedom. Governor Greg Abbott believes that every Texan has a right to freely speak their mind and stand on their beliefs and convictions. While "THE GOP" officially stands for the "GRAND OLD PARTY," more and more African Americans are beginning to view "THE GOP" as a bastion of opportunity and hope for a brighter future. Governor Greg Abbott proudly welcomed State Rep. Shawn Thierry into the Texas Republican Party after she was abandoned by the Democratic Party for standing up for the rights of Texas children. Governor Greg Abbott and other conservative leaders will need our support in the 2026 Midterm Election.

Congressman Turner and former State Rep. Shawn Thierry Attended President Trump's Black History Month Reception

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

So much for President Donald Trump canceling Black History Month. Have you heard? Yesterday, Thursday, February 20, 2025, in a surprise turn of events, President Trump hosted a private reception with invited guests from across the nation to honor National Black History Month at the White House.

Golfing legend Tiger Woods, Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.), Congressman Sylvester Turner (D-TX), former State Rep. Shawn Thierry (HD-146), Lil Boosie, and countless other celebrities and sports icons attended the invitation-only event.

“The last administration tried to reduce all of American history to a single year, 1619, but under our administration, we honor the indispensable role Black Americans have always played in the immortal cause of another date: 1776,” stated President Trump.

President Trump also explained that more Black Republicans have been serving in the United States House since 1870, a monumental achievement. He proudly proclaimed that his good friend, United States Senator Tim Scott, is the longest-serving Black Senator in American History.

SHAWN THIERRY WAS IN THE HOUSE…

Fresh off her recent achievements, former Democrat state Rep. turned “GOP DARLING,” Shawn Thierry appears to have caught her stride. On January 13, 2025, Governor Greg Abbott appointed Thierry to the Texas Juvenile Justice Board. And just last week, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, attorney Shawn Thierry was named the Executive Director of Policy and Counsel at the prestigious Texas Southern University – which is what’s called landing on your feet.

But Thierry's icing on the cake was opening up her email and receiving a personal invitation to attend the private reception of distinguished individuals in honor of National Black History Month at the White House.

Aubrey R. Taylor Communications, the publisher of the Houston Business Connections Newspaper, asked Shawn Thierry to share a view from inside the White House reception.

Former prizefighter, Eric Carr chimed in to share his thoughts on all of the “BLACK FOLKS” who attended the National Black History Month reception in another segment of “TRUTHFULLY SPEAKING” with Eric Carr.

PUSHING BACK AGAINST INJUSTICE...

Organizations like the Innocence Project must be supported and provided with the finances they need to protect the civil rights of the less fortunate. The Innocence Project, Inc. is a 501 nonprofit legal organization that works to exonerate the wrongly convicted through DNA testing and other forms of post-conviction relief, as well as advocate for criminal justice reform to prevent future injustice.

Did you know that nearly 60% of the people that the Innocence Project has helped to free or exonerate since 1992 are Black? If not, I bet you didn't know that research by the Innocence Project shows that over 50% of exonerees of color who were under 21 when they were arrested had at least one false implication by another youth.

Listen!!! I'm not saying that "BLACK FOLKS" don't commit crimes. What I'm saying is that too many Black men are forced into plea agreements because they do not have the financial means to fight back against our "TWO-TIERED" Criminal Justice System that has been weaponized against 'BLACK MEN" forcing many who are accused of crimes to plead guilty to crimes they did not commit.

But you don't have to take my word for it. If you look at the cases below, all these men were exonerated of crimes they did not commit. That said, as the 2026 Midterms draw nearer, please do your research on every "2026 JUDICIAL CANDIDATE," and make sure that the judges you vote for are tough, fair, compassionate, and not a "CLOSET RACIST," looking to carry out their racist inclinations of people of color.
