Al Sharpton Calls for Boycotts of Fortune 500 Companies; Building Wealth for Black America Will Come Through Entrepreneurship

Now is not the time for African Americans to get locked in battles against major corporations that we cannot win. The Rev. Al Sharpton (left) is calling for African Americans to boycott companies like Walmart, Target, McDonald's, and others because they've chosen to dismantle their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs. While Sharpton's concerns should be addressed, America must understand that "THE BLACK COMMUNITY" is not a monolithic society, and we have a multitude of varying opinions on the challenges we're facing. Entrepreneurs like Roy Foreman (top second from left), who managed his brother George Foreman's championship career in the ring, may have different opinions than former prizefighter Eric Carr (top second from right) on our country's direction based on their various life experiences. Someone like former 18th Congressional District candidate Vince Duncan (far right) thinks a lot differently than Judge DaSean Jones, the presiding judge for the 180th Criminal District Court in Harris County, Texas.

Roy Foreman (left) is highly regarded and considered one of the leading voices in the boxing industry since the days when he managed his brother's career. Who is his brother? Roy Foreman's brother is "BIG GEORGE" Foreman, a two-time world heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist. He is also an entrepreneur and is more well-known for his George Foreman Grill than for his exploits in the ring. As for Roy Foreman, he's also an entrepreneur who developed his own "FOREMAN GEAR" apparel company. As for Eric Carr, he's creating a big name for himself through his fast-growing E&E Construction Company as he expands into states across America.

Vince Duncan, a former candidate for the 18th Congressional District of Texas, recently shared his thoughts on the challenges facing many young Black men in America. NOTE: The thoughts shared by Vince Duncan are his and do not necessarily reflect the thoughts or opinions of any Aubrey R. Taylor Communications, advertisers, sponsors, or readers.

"The very young men you are talking about, their grandmothers, mothers, and aunts willingly participated in the U.S. Welfare social experiment. Mothers could receive government benefits if the fathers were not in the house.

This experiment led to the destruction of the nuclear family. While the government had two control groups (Urban American Families) and Rural American Families. In the case of the Rural family, the fathers were allowed to remain in the home. What we're seeing today is the 3rd generation of young African American males who are the products of fatherless families.

High dropout rates, teen pregnancies, and high incarceration rates are all a direct result of fatherless families. So, what we have now in America is what has occurred because of our Federal Government.

Mothers found it more profitable to be single versus married. So, don't hate the players hate the game. African American family dysfunction is the grand prize that we've inherited. The government offered the prizes behind door #1, Door #2, and #3, and we've gotten bamboozled again!"

Judge DaSean Jones is the presiding judge for the 180th Criminal District Court in Harris County, Texas. He recently shared his thoughts on not allowing negative people to dim your light and maintaining laser focus. NOTE: The thoughts of Judge DaSean Jones are his and do not necessarily reflect the thoughts or opinions of any Aubrey R. Taylor Communications, advertisers, sponsors, or readers.

"TRUTHFULLY SPEAKING."

"When you stand firmly in your truth and remain laser-focused on your goals, you will inevitably encounter deception and people who try to dim your light. Their negativity often reflects their own dissatisfaction or unhappiness. Stay the course — win, lose, or draw. Remember, it doesn’t take a whole day to recognize sunshine. Don’t succumb to strays or let jealous dogs howling at the moon distract you from your path.

As Theodore Roosevelt said, “It is not the critic who counts, but the one who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust, sweat, and blood.”

Keep working hard, treat others with respect, and never forget to smile — it’s good for your soul and a reminder of your strength."

“Over the next four years, the Black Community must resist the urge to involve ourselves in issues that are not our business or concern. Listen. The last time I checked, 77,303,573 Americans voted for Donald Trump to become president of the United States. And yes, that’s over 77 million Americans.

Now, President Donald Trump proclaimed that he would deport people who are in America illegally – he made a promise to the people who placed their trust in him. He also promised to do something about radical Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs. He also promised his supporters that he would protect women's rights and turn back Biden's policies. That said, what President Trump has done so far should not have come as a surprise to anyone.

As a community, we must take note of President Donald Trump. Instead of joining in winless battles, we must prepare for the 2026 Midterm and 2028 Presidential Elections.

President Donald Trump and his MAGA “Make America Great Again” voters are not our enemies. Our enemies are those politicians we’ve repeatedly elected to represent our interests who don’t care about our community but have managed to enrich themselves, their families, and their friends.

Just like President Donald Trump is fulfilling his campaign promises, we as a community must hold our elected officials accountable and make them fulfill their promises to us.”

Reverend Al Sharpton, an MSNBC host and founder of the National Action Network, has done significant civil rights work. However, it remains to be seen whether his call for boycotts against companies like Walmart, Target, McDonald's, and others will take hold.

Al Sharpton Calls Boycotts of Fortune 500 Companies; Building Wealth for Black America Will Come Through Entrepreneurship

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

While people like Rev. Al Sharpton are talking about marching, protesting, and boycotting, Congressman Andy Ogles is trying to get President Donald J. Trump a third term in office. Yes, you heard me correctly.

Congressman Andy Ogles has introduced a House Joint Resolution to amend the Constitution of the United States to allow a President to be elected for up to but no more than three terms. But the funny thing about his “JOINT RESOLUTION” is that it would not enable President Barack Obama or Bill Clinton to run for president again.

I keep trying to tell everyone who will listen that the game being played is not checker – it’s chess. And the game of chess is a “THINKING MAN’S GAME,” unlike checkers, where players can get away with hopscotch all over the board.

The proposed amendment reads, “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than three times, nor be elected to any additional term after being elected to two consecutive terms, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.’’

Are you ready for a long road trip?

Listen. The current problem in America is that too many people would rather hear or be told a lie than look at facts and grapple with the truth. Late last night, the United States Senate voted to confirm Pete Hegseth by a razor-thin margin.

After Republican and Democrat senators locked in a dead heat at 50 to 50, Vice President JD Vance stepped in. He broke the tie, voting 51-50 to confirm President Donald J. Trump’s pick to lead the United States Department of Justice.

Former GOP Leader Mitch McConnell, GOP Senator Susan Collins of Maine, and GOP Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska were the only three “THE GOP” members who opposed President Trump’s nomination of Hegseth to lead the Department of Defense.

From here, President Donald J. Trump’s pathway to putting his administration in place will be more manageable, and Democrats would have better wake up and smell the coffee.

CLOSER TO HOME IN TEXAS…

A few days ago, in Austin, Texas, at the State Capital, a longtime goal was accomplished by “THE GOP,” which was to weaken Democrats by removing them from powerful “COMMITTEE CHAIRMANSHIPS” during the 89th Legislative Session.

Dustin Burrows masterfully played Democrats like a fiddle to get selected as the Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives over a week ago. Until the vote earlier this week to ban Democrats from “COMMITTEE CHAIRMANSHIPS,” many Democrats hoped that they would receive at least a few appointments, but they didn’t get even one.

Remember, the sharing of powers between the Major Party (Republican Party), and the (Minor Party (Democratic Party), has been a longstanding tradition since the 1970s.

State Rep. Harold Dutton, Jr. stated in published reports, “This represents a sea of change from where this Legislature has been.” And he should know because he’s the third longest-serving member of the Texas Legislature, having served in the State House since 1984.

So, how are Blacks better off than we were during the Reconstruction era. During Reconstruction, (44) forty-four African Americans served in the Texas Legislature as Republicans, and today, we don’t even have half that number.

BOYCOTTS ARE A WASTE OF TIME…

Like I said, the truth hurts. So, I’m telling you now that African Americans should not allow people like the Rev. Al Sharpton to back our entire community into a corner, talking about boycotting, protesting, and marching against the major corporations who are dismantling their DEI programs after being ordered to do so by the Trump administration.

First off, Black people as a group aren’t paying Rev. Al Sharpton any attention. Many young African Americans don’t even know what the hell Sharpton was talking about by claiming that the companies who are dismantling DEI “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” programs are taking Black people to the “BACK OF THE BUS,” when he made the statement at the Metropolitan AME Church in Washington, D.C., on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Listen. America was different when the Montgomery Bus Boycott occurred from December 5, 1955, to December 20, 1956. The boycott, which resulted from Rosa Parks, an African American woman getting arrested for her refusal to surrender her seat to a white person, came at a different time.

Do you really think that Al Sharpton, of all people, has the power to galvanize African Americans and convince us to stop shopping at Walmart? Come on, really?

What about McDonalds? Do you really think little Black children are going to allow their parents to stop taking them to get a Happy Meal at Mickey D’s – for real?

Do you really think that Black farmers are going to stop buying John Deere tractors because Al Sharpton said they should do so? For real? What about Lowe’s? Black folks are supposed to stop buying home supplies from Lowe’s and Home Depot – really?

Al Sharpton is a joke to many African Americans – that’s the truth. Like I said, the truth hurts – but the truth will set you free, is what I’ve always been told.

African Americans must wake up, arm themselves with information, develop a strategy to deal with the shifting ideologies and focus on self-preservation.

So-called Black leaders like Al Sharpton have held “OUR COMMUNITY” in a state of mental bondage over the last five decades, with no plan of advancing us forward as people, in my opinion.

We should not focus on boycotting corporations or getting mad at President Trump for fulfilling his campaign promises. We should be upset at ourselves for continuing to elect and re-elect people to public office who did not uphold the promises they made to our community.

Yes. You heard me right. We’ve continued to elect and re-elect people to office over the last 50 years who do not care about doing anything but enriching themselves and their families and lining the pockets of their friends.

So, no, President Donald J. Trump, isn’t the problem, he’s actually playing “THE POLITICAL GAME” the way it’s supposed to be played. And he’s playing it masterfully right now.

A BETTER PATHWAY FORWARD…

Rather than focusing on useless boycotts, what should African Americans be doing right? We should look out for our best interests and identify our true friends.

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends,” stated Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., before he was assassinated.

And speaking of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the truth, we need to know what happened to him. At the end of the day, I believe that we’re going to learn that he was sold out by some Black folks.

We also need to know what happened to JFK and his brother – we really do. In the spirit of transparency, the documents related to the 1960s assassinations of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., President John F. Kennedy, and his brother Robert Kennedy must be declassified and made available to the general public.

The best way for us to move forward as a nation is to pull back the curtains of deceit and expose the lies we’ve been fed for nearly five decades – that’s the best pathway forward.

WE MUST OPEN OUR EYES…

To say that I’m very disappointed about what I’m seeing unfold in Harris County, Texas, would be an utter understatement. What are they thinking?

For weeks, I’ve been informing my readers by laying out the facts as they relate to Lieutenant Colonel DaSean Jones getting publicly attacked from deep within the Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP), by a Democratic Party Precinct Chair (Kay Shepard), who appears to be a henchman for Mike Doyle, the chairman and treasurer for the Harris County Democratic Party.

I’ve also explained to my readers how “BLACK JUDGES” have come under siege by a racist cell of (RIN0s) “Republicans in Name Only” and (DINOs) “Democrats in Name Only,” but nobody seems to be listening to me.

If Republicans were our problem, Judge Erica Hughes, Judge TaKasha Francis, and Judge Lillian Alexander would have never become judiciary members.

Remember, it was, for the most part, Republican judges and the “ALL REPUBLICAN.” Texas Supreme Court stepped in and forced the Harris County Democratic Party to leave Judge Erica Hughes in the 151st Civil District Court race, which enabled her to unseat Judge Mike Engelhart on March 5, 2024, in the Democratic Party Primary.

As for TaKasha Francis, she was only able to defeat Judge Robert Schaffer in the March 5, 2024, Democratic Party Primary race for the 152nd Civil District Court after the “ALL REPUBLICAN” Texas Supreme Court intervened and ruled on her behalf.

Judge Lillian Henny Alexander campaigned hard and ran a masterful campaign to defeat Judge Julia Maldonado and snatch her 507th Family District Court bench from beneath her. However, Alexander was only allowed to defeat Maldonado after a court battle.

In the case of another Black woman, Judge Brittanye Morris, who presided over the 333rd Civil District Court, she was thrown off the 2024 Democratic Party Primary ballot. She had to turn to a Republican lawyer named And Taylor (no relation) to fight her way back onto the “Super Tuesday” ballot in the Harris County Democratic Party Primary.

It took a ruling from the “ALL REPUBLICAN” Texas Supreme Court before Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, would place Morris back on the ballot.

After being placed back on the March 5, 2024, ballot, Morris was defeated by an African American male named Tracy D. Good, who defeated Brian Staley, his Republican opponent, on November 5, 2024, in the Presidential Election.

What’s my point?

It isn’t a coincidence that Lieutenant Colonel DaSean Jones has found himself the target of DINOs and RINOs in Harris County, Texas. Why not?

Since the 2012 Democratic Party Primary, members of the “LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY” have sought to find a way to defeat African American women. Now, their efforts appear to have taken hold and found some traction.

By targeting “BLACK JUDGES” and using their ‘ethnic-sounding’ names as their identifiable characteristic, local elections have taken on a serious radical racial undertone that must get addressed before Judge DaSean Jones and his “LGBTQ+ CHALLENGER” face off on Saturday, May 3, 2025, in the race for the 180th Criminal District Court, in Harris County, Texas.

THE PLAYBOOK THEY’RE USING…

A small band of DINOs led by Kay Shepard, the Democratic Precinct chair for (Precinct 30), have joined forces with a band of RINOs who somehow managed to infiltrate the upper ranks of the Harris County Republican Party undetected.

These two bands of DINOs and RINOs appear to be planning to turn Democrats against Lieutenant Colonel Judge DaSean Jones by allowing Kay Shepard to attack and disparage his name unchecked amongst Democratic Precinct Chairs through emails.

As Kay Shepard, a DINO, attacks Judge Jones, a small band of RINOs are working to trick, bamboozle, and hoodwink MAGA “Make America Great Again” voters by withholding information from them between now and the start of early voting, which starts on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and ends on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

Not telling MAGA “Make America Great Again” voters that Tami C. Pierce has a wife/husband named Dr. Stephanie Gross Pierce, whom she’s been married to for 22 years, is by design.

If MAGA “Make America Great Again” voters were armed with the truth, they would not vote for Tami C. Pierce, based on their belief that marriage should be between a man and woman.

Remember, President Trump’s administration has already developed its agenda, including efforts to establish clear and consistent biological definitions for males and females.

To this end, on Monday, January 20, 2025, President Donald J. Trump signed an “EXECUTIVE ORDER” aimed at defending women from gender ideology extremism and restoring biological truth to the federal government.

“By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, including section 7301 of title 5, United States Code, it is hereby ordered,” stated the presidential action.

In other words, “THE PLAYBOOK” being used by DINOs and RINOs against Lieutenant Colonel DaSean Jones will only work if MAGA “Make America Great Again” voters are allowed to be kept in the dark.

MY FINAL THOUGHTS…

The first step in solving a problem is to identify the problem. To come up with a solution to a problem, you must first acknowledge that there’s a problem that needs to be solved.

Listen. Republicans are not the enemies of the Black community. Our true enemies are the DINOs, “Democrats in Name Only,” who are hiding behind the Democratic Party shield and pretending to be our friends. We must identify every DINO on the local, statewide, and national levels and uproot them from the Democratic Party.

RINOs, “Republicans in Name Only,” aren’t as significant a threat to the Black community as DINOs because MAGA “Make America Great Again” patriots are on the hunt for them.

As God’s plan for America unfolds under President Donald J. Trump’s administration, new alliances and new allegiances must be forged.

Former prizefighter turned businessman Eric Carr is a hard-working "BLACK MAN" who founded E&E Construction Company to build a better life for himself and his family. However, he's also providing jobs for other Americans from all walks of life to lift their families out of poverty through hard work and determination.

Lieutenant Colonel DaSean Jones has TWO BRONZE STAR MEDALS, a Combat Action Badge, a Meritorious Service Medal, a Global War on Terrorism, a Global War Expeditionary, an Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), Army Achievement Medal (10LC), an Overseas Ribbon, Korea Defense Service Medal, Overseas Training Ribbon, a National Defense Service Ribbon, and a Parachute Badge to his credit. SPECIAL NOTE: The appearance of Judge DaSean Jones in his military uniform and U.S. Department of Defense visual information does not imply or constitute DOD endorsement.

Tami C. Pierce (left) and her wife/husband, Dr. Stephanie L. Gross-Pierce, have a loving marital relationship that they've shared for more than 22 years. For the most part, before Tami C. Pierce threw her hat into the political ring, she and her wife Stephanie lived a quiet, peaceful life, staying to themselves and out of politics. However, today, a small group of (DINOs), "Democrats in Name Only," and (RINOs), "Republicans in Name Only," have allied themselves together and embraced Tami C. Pierce's campaign for the 180th Criminal District Court as part of a grander scheme to purge "BLACK JUDGES" from local judicial benches in Harris County, Texas. Kay Shepard, who is suspected of being a closet member of the "LGBTQ+ COMMUNITY," is acting as the 'attack dog' for Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, who also favors "LGBTQ+ WOMEN AND MEN," over "HETEROSEXUAL MEN AND WOMEN," as proven by his recent actions. It appears that Kay Shepard, in her twisted mind and vexed spirit, believes that she is helping her fellow "LGBTQ+ SISTERS"  and a more significant cause by working to defeat Lieutenant Colonel Judge DaSean Jones. By definition, a heterosexual person is someone who is exclusively sexually or romantically attracted to someone of the opposite sex; after having her sexual advances allegedly rebuffed by State Rep. Shawn Thierry at an event, Kay Shepard began to attack her (State Rep. Thierry) profusely and oppose her politically as well.

General Merrick Garland chose Judge Erica Hughes to serve as an Immigration Judge, where she will preside over cases beginning in January 2022. In addition to this new role, Judge Erica Hughes has been an esteemed member of the U.S. Army National Guard of Texas in Austin since 2016, serving as a Judge Advocate. On January 1, 2025, Judge Erica Hughes, after being called an animal by an "LGBTQ ATTORNEY." named Ben L. Aderholt and unqualified by fellow judges from within her own party, will take the bench as the presiding judge for the 151st Civil District Court in Harris County, Texas. Judge Erica Hughes is pictured above with State Rep. Jolanda Jones (HD-147) and Judge DaSean Jones, the presiding judge for the 180th Criminal District Court.

Judge Lashawn Williams, Judge Angela Graves Harrington, Judge Shannon Baldwin, Judge Tonya Jones, and Judge Toria J. However, I'm not sure why so many potential candidates are seeking to run against the (26) twenty-six African American incumbent judges when there will be (68) sixty-eight local benches up for grabs in the 2026 Midterm Election in Harris County, Texas.
