Grand Jury Disbanded Without Indicting Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo; Alexandra del Moral Mealer Faces Uphill Battle

The Grand Jury that indicted three of Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo's staffers in connection to that nearly $11 million COVID-19 Outreach Contract has shut down shop and gone home. That being said, the only way that Lina Hidalgo will get indicted between now and Election Day is for another Harris County grand jury to be convened prior to her Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Midterm Election showdown with Alexandra del Moral Mealer, which is highly unlikely.

Alexandra del Moral Mealer handily defeated former Federal Prosecutor Vidal Martinez by garnering 85,778 votes for 75.42% of the vote back on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, according to the "UNOFFICIAL" results. However, to beat Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Alexandra del Moral Mealer, the Republican nominee in the race for Harris County Judge could need somewhere between 650,000 to 700,000 votes. That being said, no Republican candidate has ever received more than 582,854 votes in a Midterm Election running countywide in Harris County, Texas. Comparatively speaking, (86) eighty-six Democrats who were running countywide received more than 600,000 votes back during the Tuesday, November 6, 2018, Midterm Election in Harris County, Texas.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo still has the firm support of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, and "THE DEMOCRATIC MACHINE" behind her. As you can see above, Democratic Party Primary voters overwhelmingly stood behind her back on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, when she faced off against a strong field of Democrats who were seeking to dethrone her. After the smoke cleared, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo received 113,845 votes, for an astonishing 70.32% of the vote to avoid a runoff.

Grand Jury Convened Without Indicting Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo; Alexandra del Moral Mealer Faces Uphill Battle

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

I’ve learned a lot about Alexandra del Moral Mealer over the course of the last few months. I’ve learned that she’s a master tactician. I’ve learned that she has the heart of a lion. I’ve learned that she has a broad base of support that extends well beyond the Republican Party base. And more importantly, she’s proven to me that she’s a winner. Now, can she beat Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo in a head-to-head showdown on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in the race for County Judge? Well, that’s going to depend on several different factors, that I’m going to lay out for you in this report.

THE 600,000 VOTE BARRIER

What you have to understand is that the voter turnout in Midterm Elections is a lot different than the voter turnout in Presidential Elections. And when it comes to Harris County, no Republican candidate has ever broken the 600,000 votes barrier in a countywide race in a Midterm Election, inside the boundaries of Harris County, Texas. That being said, what’s great for Alexandra del Moral Mealer, the Republican, is that Harris County Judge Lina Hildalgo, the Democrat hasn’t ever received more than 600,000 votes in an election either.

For the record, back during the 2018 Midterm Election, Lina Hidalgo only received 595,221 votes when she unseated Harris County Judge Ed Emmett in the race for County Judge. And what you have to understand about Lina Hidalgo’s victory over Ed Emmett is that 515,812 of the 595,221 votes received by Lina Hidalgo were received as a result of straight-ticket voting which has now been abolished in Texas. So, in reality, only 79,409 people, went to the polls and specifically cast their vote for Lina Hidalgo over Ed Emmett, who was the sitting Harris County Judge at the time. Why is this significant? Well, back in the 2018 Midterms, every Democratic candidate running countywide in Harris County, Texas (not named Lina Hidalgo) received more than 600,000 votes.

Cracking the 600,000 votes barrier seems easy for Democrats running countywide in Harris County, Texas. In fact, back during the Tuesday, November 6, 2018, Midterm Election, every Democratic candidate on the ballot received more than 600,000 votes. In fact, Beto O’Rourke, the (Democratic) former U.S. Congressman who was trying to unseat U.S. Senator Ted Cruz, the (Republican) cracked the 700,000 votes barrier, in the race for U.S. Senator. And Lupe Valdez, the (Democrat) who was trying to unseat Governor Greg Abbott, the (Republican) broke the 600,000 votes barrier with 628,804 votes, to finish just ahead of Lina Hidalgo, who only received 595.221 votes.

HISTORY IN THE MAKING?

To beat Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, I believe that Alexandra del Moral Mealer must expand her base well beyond the Republican Party. In fact, Alexandra del Moral Mealer is going to have to garner well over 600,000 votes, a feat that no Republican candidate has ever achieved in a Midterm Election, in the history of Harris County, Texas.

PROSPECTIVE OUTCOME

For Republicans to win back Harris County, Texas on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, they must unify, and mobilize their efforts around Alexandra del Moral Mealer, their chosen nominee in the race for Harris County Judge. That being said, Alexandra del Moral Mealer must turn her attention toward making history and broadening her base of support if she plans to have any shot at unseating Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in the race for County Judge.

"Now is the time when our love for America must prevail. It is incumbent upon us to elect "PUBLIC SERVANTS" who understand that they work for us. We need "ELECTED OFFICIALS" in office who love "OUR CONSTITUTION" and the ideals that our nation was founded upon by our forefathers. We must make it our collective effort to "PUT PEOPLE OVER POLITICS" and do what's best for America during this crucial moment in time."

Favoritism and Party Politics Have No Place Inside Our Harris County Courtrooms

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

At the end of the day, the judicial races are the most important races on the ballot. That said, who we allow to put on that black robe and occupy judicial benches (especially in Harris County, Texas) matters a great deal. Over the years, through straight-ticket voting, and folks going into the polls playing "Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe" we've allowed a few bad folks to slip through the cracks. Now, I'm not trying to play party politics in any way, shape, or form, with my words. All I'm trying to say is that nobody is perfect, but if we make it our goal to elevate people who fear God and have a backbone into positions of authority, every one of us will be afforded the opportunity to live our best life.
