Hollins is Now A Serious Threat; Former Metro Chairman Gilbert Garcia Could Enter the 2023 Race for Mayor of Houston

Former At-Large Houston City Councilwoman Amanda Edwards, Attorney Lee Kaplan, former interim Harris Country Clerk Chris Hollins, and state Senator John Whitmire should all be considered serious contenders running for Mayor of Houston, Texas right now. And rumor has it that former (METRO) Board Chairman Gilbert Garcia could steal the spotlight if he announces his candidacy sometime over the course of the next few weeks. Now, in case you haven't heard, the Missouri City, Texas police officer by the name of Robin Williams, according to her campaign finance report, had already raised $188,995.00 for her mayoral run and received $500,000.00 in pledges, before being arrested. According to published reports, Officer Robin Williams, 'allegedly' beat her boyfriend with our official police baton, and shocked him with her official taser. You can "CLICK HERE" to see Robin William's campaign finance report for yourself.

Officer Robin Williams's campaign finance report which was filed back on September 2, 2022, contains what appears to be some very serious reporting errors (and or) omissions. In case you don't know, Pat Gandy has already endorsed Chris Hollins in the race for Mayor of Houston, that's scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2022. "Pat Gandy is a giant in Houston’s LGBTQ+ community, and I’m honored to earn Pat’s endorsement for mayor. Together, we will dismantle barriers and ensure love remains undefeated in Houston," says Chris Hollins.

Hollins is Now A Serious Threat; Former Metro Chairman Gilbert Garcia Should Enter the 2023 Race to Become Houston’s Next Mayor

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

I’m sure by now you’ve heard that Missouri City Police Officer Robin Williams was arrested a couple days ago. According to the news reports, she’s accused of assaulting her live-in boyfriend with her police baton, and ‘allegedly’ shocking him with her police-issued taser. Records show that Williams has been released on a $15,000 bail, and cannot carry a weapon.

As you’ve seen in the headlines, Robin Williams had already announced that she was running for Mayor of Houston, Texas in the upcoming Tuesday, November 7, 2023, City of Houston Mayoral Election. However, it is unclear right now, if she’s going to drop out of the race, or still plans to remain in the stellar field of mayoral contenders.

As it stands right now, Chris Hollins, the former interim Harris County Clerk, is making some serious noise. Actually, Hollins is sitting in a really good position right now and has raised more than a million dollars by way of individual donors.

It’s also fair to mention that Chris Hollins, has assembled what I consider to be the strongest team of consultants when compared to the other candidates who’ve already announced their candidacies.

Hollins appears to be rocking steady with former Mayor Annice Parker’s regime from what I can see. And if you ask me, that’s not a bad strategy. In fact, it worked for Mayor Annise Parker, and for Mayor Sylvester Turner; but whether or not, Houstonians are ready to elect another Black mayor on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, is something else altogether.

Anyways, from looking at one of Chris Hollins’s campaign finance reports, Pat Strong (Strong Strategies, LLC), is handling his fundraising, and compliance services – which explains how he was able to hall in so much campaign cash between February 7, 2022, and June 30, 2022. And for the record, I really like Pat Strong, she’s above board and doesn’t play any dirty political tricks, or games.

Pat Strong is also, a very good fundraiser. So if you’re wondering how Chris Hollins was able to raise $1,123,316.59 in political contributions between 2/7/2022, and 6/30/2022, I’ve just provided you with the answer to your question. Strong Strategies L.L.C., is one of the best in the business.

Another smart move that Chris Hollins made was to hire Grant Martin, as his chief consultant. Grant Martin Campaigns, does solid work and is highly respected in the industry. And in case you don’t know, Martin was instrumental in helping former Mayor Annise Parker, and Mayor Sylvester Turner, win competitive races.

It’s still really early, but you can also see that Chris Hollins is ‘smartly’ making a strong play for the LGBTQ+ vote. Back on 4/6/2022, Hollins donated $7,500.00 to the Houston LGBTQ+ Political Caucus in the form of a donation to support an event “THE CAUCUS” was having.

At this point, I don’t really see where Chris Hollins has thrown any money behind a Black organization like (HBAD) Houston Black American Democrats, but I’m sure he’s going to support them.

While many political pundits believe state Senator John Whitmire is the clear frontrunner in the race for mayor, Chris Hollins, in my opinion, is clearly a threat. And if Gilbert Garcia, the former chairman of (METRO) Metropolitan Transit Authority decided to enter the race, he could immediately catapult himself into “THE BIG THREE” along with Chris Hollins, state Senator John Whitmire.

Chris Hollins, the former interim Harris County Clerk must be taken seriously in the upcoming City of Houston Mayoral race. In fact, if the election was held today, between the announced candidates, Chris Hollins, and senator John Whitmire would more than likely be locked in a tight race. What's most impressive about Chris Hollins thus far, is the fact that he's already hired Pat Strong (Strong Strategies L.L.C.), and Grant Martin (Grant Martin Campaigns), two proven winners when it comes to helping top "MAYORAL CONTENDERS" like Chris Hollins accomplish their mission.
