CAMPAIGN NEWS: Former Texas Governor Rick Perry Is Expected to Announce His 2016 Presidential Bid on June 4th

CAMPAIGN NEWS: Former Texas Governor Rick Perry Is Expected to Announce His 2016 Presidential Bid on Thursday, June 4, 2015

We recently ran across an invitation from former Texas Governor and Mrs. Perry. And according to the invite they’ve been discussing America’s future and how their family can play a role.

The invitation didn’t exactly say that former Gov. Rick Perry is going to be running for president. But you’d have to be from another planet to not know what this gathering is going to be about.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "Before Houstonians get all caught up on the 2016 Presidential Election, I'd encourage all Houstonians to spend a little time researching and getting to know some of the 2015 City of Houston Mayoral candidates."

Houston is a strong mayoral driven city. This means that our mayor, as the chief executive of our city has a whole lot of power. And some might argue, has a greater direct impact on our lives than our president does. So, let's act as if the latter is correct and focus a little more of our attention on the upcoming Tuesday, November 3, 2015 Mayoral Election. A few of the people seeking to replace Mayor Annise Parker (who is term-limited) are: Ben Hall, Adrian Garcia, Victoria Lane, Sylvester Turner, Bill King, Marty McVey, Stephen Costello, and Chris Bell. Early voting will start on Monday, October 19, 2015 and end on Friday, October 30, 2015. You are strongly encouraged to consider the candidates who value and respect us when you go to the polls.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "We must become more active participants in the process of choosing the people who govern over us on the local, state, and federal level."

FINAL NOTES: Our "CELEBRATING FREEDOM AND LIBERTY" edition of Houston Business Connections Magazine will be released on Friday, June 19, 2015. This edition will highlight "JUNETEENTH" and "THE FOURTH OF JULY" holidays.
