Congratulations to Krish Advani and Isabella Marino, Two FBISD Elementary Students who receive 2013 TAGT Summer Scholarships
FORT BEND ISD - Gifted/Talented (GT) students Krish Advani of Commonwealth Elementary School and Isabella Marino of Cornerstone Elementary School have been awarded Texas Association of Gifted and Talented (TAGT) scholarships to attend summer programs. They are among 34 students across the state and the only two in Fort Bend ISD selected as 2013 TAGT Summer Scholars.
The TAGT awards scholarships to GT students, in grades K-12, who are currently participating in a Gifted/Talented program and who want to enrich their training experience during the summer months. The scholarships are based on merit and may be used to attend academic or artistic summer programs.
Krish will attend the week-long Summer Discovery Camp at the Houston Health Museum, where he will receive hands-on science experiences and study topics relating to health and medical science (including anatomy/physiology, forensics and kitchen chemistry).
Isabella will attend CompuCamp 2013 at the University of Houston to gain a working knowledge of computer applications and programming. She will learn about hardware, programming, game design, web technology, and animation and graphic design.
