Shannon Nobles, Michael Kubosh, and Chris Hollins are the Top Three 2023 Candidates for Houston City Controller

Shannon Nobles, Michael Kubosh, and Chris Hollins are the top three candidates who are running for Houston City Controller as of today. However, the official filing date to run for Controller doesn't open until Saturday, July 22, 2023. That being said, we must endeavor to discontinue the practice of supporting Black candidates for symbolic reasons. Councilman Michael Kubosh is beloved by the Black community and has always stood arm-in-arm with us on causes and issues near and dear to us. On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents should all be casting their vote for Michael Kubosh in the NONPARTISAN race for Houston City Controller. "FIGHTING CRIME."

Councilman Michael Kubosh (far right), has appointed Pastor James Nash (second from right) as his treasurer. Councilman Kubosh and Pastor Nash have been fighting against crime together for several decades. In fact, last year, Pastor Nash and Councilman Kubosh were key players in the partnership that was developed with Clear Channel Outdoor and Crime Stoppers of Houston when Clear Channel donated all those billboards that created two million market impressions during the first month alone. In case you don't remember, the billboard messages urged residents to report illegal activity in their community to Crime Stoppers. On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and Independents should all be casting their vote for Michael Kubosh in the NONPARTISAN race for Houston City Controller. On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, Councilman Michael Kubosh will be officially kicking off his campaign to become the next City of Houston Controller for our beloved Bayou City. For good measure, Aubrey R. Taylor Communications plans to endorse term-limited Councilman Michael Kubosh in the race for Houston City Controller. From what I can see, the top two “BLACK POLITICAL TRIBES” have set their sights on putting the squeeze on Councilman Kubosh in the upcoming Tuesday, November 7, 2023, general election.

After Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee entered the race for Mayor of Houston, the top Lieutenants for the “TOP BLACK POLITICAL TRIBE” convinced Chris Hollins to exit the Mayor’s race and run for Houston City Controller, where Shannon Nobles, an African American female had already set her sights on doing battle against Councilman Kubosh. For the record, Nobles, who currently serves as the deputy controller for the city of Houston designated her treasurer back on January 23, 2023, and Kubosh designated well-known local Pastor James Nash as his treasurer back on February 8, 2023, when he announced his intention to run for Houston City Controller for our beloved Bayou City.

Now, don’t expect Michael Kubosh and his team to just hand over the Black vote to his two African American opponents in the race for Houston City Controller. Why not? Well, African Americans love Michael Kubosh and his brothers with a passion and have demonstrated their loyal support for the Kubosh brothers over the years.

In case you don’t remember, Michael Kubosh and his brothers used to own KUBOSH BAIL BONDING and stood in the gap for many Black families who had loved ones who had been accused of crimes. And as best I can remember, it was “THE KUBOSH BROTHERS” who went to battle for Houstonians to get rid of those blasted “RED LIGHT CAMERAS” many years ago. But all of that is a story for another day.

Make no mistake about it, putting the squeeze on Michael Kubosh won’t be as easy as Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Mayor Sylvester Turner, Carroll G. Robinson, and their minions believe.

Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Mayor Sylvester Turner are part of “TRIBE A" the strongest “BLACK POLITICAL TRIBE” in Harris County, Texas. Over the years, Carroll G. Robinson, and his regime, which includes Antron D. Johnson, Terrence Shanks, Robert Williams, and others have closed a lot of ground for “TRIBE B” which is the second strongest “BLACK POLITICAL TRIBE” in the region.

All total, there are (5) five “BLACK POLITICAL TRIBES” operating in this region of Texas, however, it is “TRIBE B” that has the strongest criminal element to it. But all of the “BLACK POLITICAL TRIBES” can carry out their dirty work in Harris County, Texas without fear of criminal prosecution because of their strong ties to the “Democrat” District Attorney Kim Ogg, and a few local judges.

Anyways, with the new voter laws taking effect to deal with rogue district attorneys, ballot harvesters, and illegal voting, I’m hopefully optimistic that my investigative team and I will be able to expose the corrupt politicians who are aiding and abetting “CRIMINAL ENTERPRISES” that have ruled Harris County, Texas with an iron fist for decades.

“IMPORTANT DATES.”

The first day to officially apply for a place on the ballot is Saturday, July 22, 2023, if you plan on running for Mayor, Houston City Controller, or Houston City Council on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in our beloved Bayou City.

The last day to file for a place on the ballot is Monday, August 21, 2023, by 5:00 p.m., for all those interested in playing an active role in the future of our great City.

“FILING APPLICATIONS.”

All applicants can officially start filling for a place on the ballot at the Mayor’s Office, that’s located at 901 Bagby, 3rd Floor, Houston, Texas, 77002, after July 22, 2023. According to the City of Houston’s website, “Applications may also be submitted via e-mail to mayor@houstontx.gov. Please note that, for applications submitted via e-mail, the filing fee or petition instead of a filing fee must still be filed in person. Please also note that the first day of the filing period is set by state law and does not move; the hours of operation for the Mayor’s Office are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.”

“FILING COSTS.”

The filing fee to run for Mayor of the city of Houston is only $1,2500.00, the fee to run for Houston City Controller the filing fee is only $750.00, and the fee to run for one of the Houston City Council positions is only $500.00. However, the filing fee must be paid by cash, cashier’s check, or by certified check made payable to the City of Houston.

The City of Houston will not be accepting any personal checks or money orders from any candidates. And once you pay your filing fee, you can’t get your money back. Filing fees are non-refundable. (See City Charter, Art. V, Sec. 6.), for more information.
