The Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election in Pearland, Texas between Mayor Tom Reid and His Challenger Quentin Wiltz Is A Major Test for Pearlanders

REPORT by AUBREY R. TAYLOR

I’ve spent a considerable amount of time scoping out the landscape of Pearland, Texas. At first glance, the election returns look as if Dalia Kasseb should be the clear favorite -- but not so fast! DIVERSITY OF RUNOFF BALLOT SAYS A LOT ABOUT THE RECENT GROWTH OF PEARLAND, TEXAS AND THE OPENMINDEDNESS OF PEARLANDERS

The race for Mayor of Pearland, Texas pits a young and very aggressive/progressive African American candidate by the name of Quentin Wiltz against the long-time beloved Mayor of Pearland by the name of Tom Reid. And the race for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #7 features a political new-comer by the name of Dalia Kasseb trying to become the first Muslim elected official in Brazoria County – and only woman on city council for Pearland, Texas. However, Woody Owens stands between Dalia Kasseb and her dream of having her name etched into the annals of  Brazoria County history.

VOTER ENGAGEMENT KEY FOR MAYOR TOM REID TO WIN ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 IN THE RACE FOR MAYOR OF PEARLAND

Mayor Tom Reid (third from right) and a few of his supporters.

Mayor Tom Reid has beaten back many challengers during his many years in office -- but he's never faced a challenger quite like Quentin Wiltz before. This young, aggressive, and politically astute African American contender is very hungry, and believes he can win this race. Yes, Mayor Tom Reid is the longest-serving mayor of the City of Pearland -- but he's going to still need a massive/historic turnout to hold off Quentin Wiltz and secure his legacy.

WILL PEARLANDERS STAND WITH MAYOR TOM REID ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10TH?

Mayor Tom Reid faithfully served Pearland from 1978-1990 and then came back to serve the city he loves and calls home from 1995 to present -- but he now finds himself in need of some help from the Pearlanders who love him -- if he is to remain in office and secure his legacy. His worth/value to the City of Pearland is immeasurable and can’t simply be summed up by the time he's spent serving as Mayor of Pearland. Keep in mind, Mayor Tom Reid has been an ambassador of sorts for the City of Pearland for nearly 52 years. So, if you want to see Mayor Tom Reid continue to build upon his legacy as the Mayor of Pearland, I strongly encourage you to call his campaign and help him to shore up his base in the precinct where you live. The voting precincts won by Mayor Tom Reid were: 12, 13, 26, 27, 28, 36, 46, 47, 51, 52, 61, 537, and 654 back in the Saturday, May 6, 2017 General Election. I call these voter precincts his stronghold-base. These precincts/neighborhoods must go to the polls in record numbers if Mayor Tom Reid is to emerge the victor on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

TEAM REID/OWENS STRONGHOLD PRECINCTS

Mayor Tom Reid (for Mayor) and Woody Owens (for City Council Position #7). The total potential voting strength of the TEAM REID/OWENS STRONGHOLD IS: 39,169

Mayor Tom Reid (in the race for Mayor of Pearland, Texas) and Woody Owens (in the race for Pearland City Council Position #7) should both carry the following voter precincts: 12, 13, 26, 27, 28, 36, 46, 47, 51, 52, 61, 537, and 654. I am not sure about precincts: 68, 131, and 630because no voters from these particular precincts cast ballots back on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the General Election for Pearland, Texas. There are a total of 26 “VOTER PRECINCTS” in Pearland, Texas.

STRONGHOLD STRENGTH

If voter turnout is what it should be for an election as important as this one, I expect for Mayor Tom Reid and Woody Owens to both carry 13 of the 26 “VOTER PRECINCTS” on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Runoff Election. HERE'S THE POTENTIAL VOTER POOL FOR THE VOTER PRECINCTS I EXPECT FOR MAYOR TOM REID AND WOODY OWENS TO CARRY: PRECINCT 12 (HAS 3,291 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 13 (HAS 4,051 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 26 (HAS 1,819 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 27 (HAS 2,168 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 28 (HAS 5,565 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 36 (HAS 3,198 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 46 (HAS 2,298 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 47 (HAS 2,767 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 51 (HAS 3,401 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 52 (HAS 2,795 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 61 (HAS 4,348 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 537 (HAS 3,021 REGISTERED VOTERS), and PRECINCT 654 (HAS 447 REGISTERED VOTERS).

BOTH REID AND OWENS SHOULD WIN THEIR RUNOFF RACES ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017; BUT TURNOUT WILL BE KEY FOR THEM TO WIN

*These numbers are from the City of Pearland General Election Canvass Report. So, keep in mind that each candidate on the ballot will receive some votes in each of the above referenced “STRONGHOLD PRECINCTS”. However, at the end of the day I believe Mayor Tom Reid will win the above referenced “VOTER PRECINCTS” in the race for Mayor of Pearland over Quentin Wiltz. And I also believe that Woody Owens will win the above referenced “VOTER PRECINCTS” in the race for Pearland City Council Position #7 on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Runoff Election for Pearland, Texas over Dalia Kasseb.

VOTER ENGAGEMENT ALSO KEY FOR QUENTIN WILTZ TO WIN ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 IN THE RACE FOR MAYOR OF PEARLAND

Dalia Kasseb (third from left) and Quentin Wiltz (right) on the campaign trail.

Quentin Wiltz and political newcomer Dalia Kasseb have developed a potent strategy that's more similar to what's seen in a Presidential Election or Midterm Election rather than a local citywide election. Yes, Quentin Wiltz has run for office twice before, losing both bids for public office -- but he appears to be much better prepared this time around. Yes, he lost a bid for Pearland City Council against Derrick Reed the current councilman for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #2 back in 2015. And yes, he also lost his bid to unseat Tony Carbone the current councilman for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #1 back in 2013. But looking at the framework of his campaign, albeit from a distance -- he seems to have a sense of confidence/reassurance that his time has come. So, if you would like to help Quentin Wiltz win on Saturday, June 10, 2017, I strongly encourage you to call his campaign and get involved. The voting precincts won by Quentin Wiltz were: 29, 44, 50, 54, 59, 60, 62, 67, 762, and 1134 back in the Saturday, May 6, 2017 General Election for Pearland, Texas.  I call these voter precincts his stronghold-base. These precincts/neighborhoods must go to the polls in record numbers if Quentin Wiltz is to emerge the victor on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

TEAM WILTZ/KASSEB STRONGHOLD PRECINCTS

Dalia Kasseb (for Council Position #7) and Quentin Wiltz (for Mayor). The total potential voting strength of the TEAM KASSEB/WILTZ STRONGHOLD IS: 29,360

Quentin Wiltz (in race for Mayor of Pearland, Texas) and Dalia Kasseb (in the race for Pearland City Council Position #7) should both carry the following voter precincts: 29, 44, 50, 54, 59, 60, 62, 67, 762, and 1134. I am not sure about precincts: 68, 131, and 630because no voters from these particular precincts cast ballots back on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the General Election for Pearland, Texas.

STRONGHOLD STRENGTH

If voter turnout is extremely high in Pearland, Texas, I expect for Quentin Wiltz and Dalia Kasseb to both carry 10 of the 26 “VOTER PRECINCTS” on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Runoff Election. HERE'S THE POTENTIAL VOTER POOL FOR THE VOTER PRECINCTS I EXPECT FOR QUENTIN WILTZ AND DALIA KASSEB TO CARRY: PRECINCT 29 (HAS 3,305 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 44 (HAS 1,558 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 50 (HAS 5,727 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 54 (HAS 2,943 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 59 (HAS 5,052 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 60 (HAS 672 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 62 (HAS 3,874 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 67 (HAS 3,510 REGISTERED VOTERS), PRECINCT 762 (HAS 407 REGISTERED VOTERS), and PRECINCT 1134 (HAS 2,312 REGISTERED VOTERS).

BOTH WILTZ AND KASSEB SHOULD RUN VERY COMPETITIVE RUNOFF RACES; BUT TURNOUT MUST BE HISTORIC FOR THEM TO DO SO

*These numbers are from the City of Pearland General Election Canvass Report. So, keep in mind that each candidate on the ballot will receive some votes in each of the above referenced “STRONGHOLD PRECINCTS”. However, at the end of the day I believe Quentin Wiltz will win the above referenced “VOTER PRECINCTS” in the race for Mayor of Pearland over Mayor Tom Reid. And I also believe that Dalia Kasseb will win the above referenced “VOTER PRECINCTS” in the race for Pearland City Council Position #7 on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in the Runoff Election for Pearland, Texas over Woody Owens.

HOW MAYOR TOM REID AND QUENTIN WILTZ MADE THEIR WAY INTO THE SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 RUNOFF ELECTION

Mayor Tom Reid is the "PROHIBITIVE FAVORITE" in the race for Mayor of Pearland. However, he must still run a race that involves outreach to all Pearlanders to win.

MAYOR TOM REID SHOULD WIN HIS BID FOR RE-ELECTION ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 OVER QUENTIN WILTZ

Mayor Tom Reid led the race from start to finish according to the Brazoria County Clerk’s Unofficial Cumulative Report for Pearland, Texas back on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the General Election. Mayor Tom Reid was being challenged by Quentin Wiltz and Jimi Amos. He finished the night with 3,710 votes for 48.89% of the vote. Quentin Wiltz finished the night with 3,461 votes for 45.61% to force the runoff election to decide the winner. Jimi Amos finished the night with 418 votes for 5.51% of the vote. The unofficial number of ballots cast in the race for Mayor of Pearland, Texas in the General Election was 7,589 according to the Brazoria County Clerk. There were 71 under votes in the race for Mayor of Pearland, Texas. What are under votes? This simply means that 71 of the registered Pearland voters who participate in the election and were eligible to vote in the race for Mayor of Pearland chose not to cast a vote for either Mayor Tom Reid or Quentin Wiltz -- or they may have simply skipped over this particular race while casting their ballot. SPECIAL NOTE: If Mayor Tom Reid wins the race for Mayor, I believe many of his supporters will also be voting for Woody Owens in the race for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #7. So, that makes Woody Owens the "PROHIBITIVE FAVORITE" in the race for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #7.

THE POTENTIAL VOTER POOL FOR THE SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 RUNOFF RACE FOR MAYOR OF PEARLAND, TEXAS

Only a small percentage of Pearlanders chose to go to the polls back on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the General Election. However, I totally expect for the numbers to be significantly better for the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election scheduled to take place in Pearland, Texas. I say this because, according to the Brazoria County Clerk there were 68,633 registered voters eligible to vote in the Saturday, May 6, 2017 General Election for Pearland, Texas. However, only 7,660 Pearlanders chose to participate in the General Election. Yes, this was still a record voter turnout; but this was only 11.16 percent of the potential registered voter pool in Pearland, Texas. So there are still over 60,973 potential voters out there for Mayor Tom Reid and his challenger Quentin Wiltz to win over/court as Saturday, June 10, 2017 approaches.

MAYOR TOM REID IS THE "PROHIBITIVE FAVORITE" IF HE TURNS OUT HIS BASE ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017

Mayor Tom Reid is the "PROHIBITIVE FAVORITE" to win re-election.

Both Mayor Tom Reid and Quentin Wiltz will win over some Pearlanders in every voting precinct in Pearland, Texas in the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election race for Mayor of Pearland. However, the voting precincts where I see Mayor Tom Reid performing better than Quentin Wiltz has a potential voting pool of 39,169 registered voters. The voting precincts where I see Quentin Wiltz possibly performing better than Mayor Tom Reid has a potential voting pool of 29,360 registered voters. Again, in my professional opinion both candidates will win over a portion of Pearlanders in each voting precinct; but I believe the numbers will favor Mayor Tom Reid over Quentin Wiltz at the end of the day; especially if Mayor Tom Reid is able to convince his base that his legacy is on the line between now and Saturday, June 10, 2017.

RACE/PARTY AFFILIATION DECIDING THE RACE FOR MAYOR OF PEARLAND IS A GROWING CONCERN FOR MANY

While we as Americans don’t like to talk much about race openly – race does in fact still continue to play a major role in the decision making process for millions of voters across America in general -- and Pearland in particular. But so does party affiliation and socio-economic status. Look, this is a non-partisan contest -- meaning party affiliation isn't even relevant -- and the race/ethnicity of the candidates on the ballot should not matter at all. However, we must keep in mind that while Pearland, Texas is growing rapidly and becoming more and more diverse each year; Pearland, Texas is still overwhelmingly populated by white residents.

PEARLAND, TEXAS IS A YOUNG, DIVERSE, HIGHLY EDUCATED AND OPEN-MINDED COMMUNITY THAT'S STILL EVOLVING

ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL: Monique Wiltz (wife of Quentin Wiltz), Saul-Claudette Torres, Quentin Wiltz (bottom-left), and Saul-Claudette Torres with Monique Wiltz.

According to the U.S. Census/American Community Survey Pearland, Texas is a young, highly educated and diverse community. The median age of a resident is 35.2, which is 2.2 years younger than the U.S. citizen median age. In contrast to the 1.5 – 2-year median age increase experienced by the region, state and nation from 2000 to 2012, Pearland’s median age rose by only a year during the same period. However, all U.S. Census-tracked ethnic groups within Pearland, Texas increased more than 50% from 2000 to 2012 according to this survey.

MAYOR TOM REID IS LOVED AND ADMIRED BY PEARLANDERS FROM EVERY ETHINIC GROUP FROM WHAT WE CAN SEE

Mayor Tom Reid has supporters from every race/ethnic group living inside the City of Pearland, Texas. He also has key supporters outside the City of Pearland who want to see him win re-election on Saturday, June 10, 2017 over Quentin Wiltz.

DEMOGRAPHIC BREAKDOWN OF PEARLAND, TEXAS

Whites make up about 46.2 percent of Pearland, Texas; African Americans make up about 17.4 percent; American Indian and Alaska Natives make up about 0.4 percent; Asians make up about 9.3 percent; Hispanic or Latinos make up about 24.5 percent of the population of Pearland based on a report I recently studied that was published inside a demographic overview of Pearland, Texas published by Pearland’s Economic Development Corporation where they cited these recent U.S. Census numbers.

ENDORSEMENT FROM JACQUIE BALY COULD BE KEY TO WINNING OVER MANY MINORITY VOTERS

Jacquie Baly, a business owner and Political Analyst for Fox 26 endorsed Mayor Tom Reid back in the Saturday, May 6, 2017 General Election and has re-endorsed him in the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election over his opponent Quentin Wiltz. Baly has seemingly developed a touch-of-gold- when it comes to helping her friends win their elections. She's hoping her endorsement will help to put Mayor Tom Reid over the top on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

OTHER CANDIDATES ENDORSED BY JACQUIE BALY WHO WON THEIR BID FOR ELECTION OR RE-ELECTION DURING THE 2017 ELECTION CYCLE

A GOOD NIGHT FOR CANDIDATES ENDORSED BY JACQUIE BALY: Mayor-Elect Chuck Brawner (Katy, Texas), Mayor Susan V. Sample (West University Place), Jason Burdine (Fort Bend ISD Trustee for Position #1), Councilman Gary Moore (Pearland City Council Member for Position #3), Jacquie Baly (Business-Owner and Political Analyst for Fox 26) and Mayor Tom Reid (Pearland, Texas). All of the above candidates were endorsed by Jacquie Baly in the Saturday, May 6, 2017 General Election and won without having to face opponents in the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Elections except for Mayor Tom Reid. On Saturday, June 10, 2017 we will find out if Jacquie Baly will end the 2017 Election Cycle with a perfect record! Stay tuned.

EARLY VOTING BEGINS ON TUESDAY, MAY 30, 2017 IN PEARLAND, TEXAS

I’m encouraging all Pearlanders who are registered to vote to do so during the early voting period set to begin on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 and end on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. Also, please keep in mind, Mayor Tom Reid led his challenger Quentin Wiltz after the early voting period back in the Saturday, May 6, 2017 General Election with 51.60 percent of the vote to Wiltz’s 43.88 percent of the vote. The third place finisher Jimi Amos held 4.52 percent of the vote after early voting.

ELECTION DAY VOTING ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 IS CRUCIAL FOR MAYOR TOM REID AND QUENTIN WILTZ

Every vote will matter on Saturday, June 10, 2017 when Mayor Tom Reid and Quentin Wiltz face off in the race for Mayor of Pearland, Texas. So keep in mind that Quentin Wiltz outperformed Mayor Tom Reid back in the Saturday, May 6, 2017 General Election on Election Day. Wiltz received 49.79 percent of the Election Day ballots. Mayor Tom Reid only received 42.96 percent of the Election Day ballots. The third place finisher Jimi Amos received 7.25 percent of the vote on Election Day.

THE OTHER KEY RUNOFF RACE GOING DOWN IN PEARLAND ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 IS BETWEEN DALIA KASSEB AND WOODY OWENS

In the race for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #7 Dalia Kasseb and Woody Owens are heading into a runoff to decide the winner of this race. Sherry Stockwell finished third to narrowly miss the Runoff Election -- and has endorsed Woody Owens. RACE RESULTS FROM THE GENERAL ELECTION: Dalia Kasseb 2,958 votes for (40.74%), Woody Owens 1,531 votes for (21.09%), Sherry Stockwell 1,400 votes for (19.28%), G.C. Sonny Atkins 701 votes for (9.65%), Terry Gray 498 votes for (6.86%), and Bud Tollefsen 173 votes for (2.38%). The number of ballots cast in this race was 7,261 according to the Brazoria County Clerk.  There were 399 under votes in the race for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #7. What are under votes? This simply means that 399 of the registered Pearland voters who participate in the election and were eligible to vote in this race chose not to cast a vote for either Dalia Kasseb or Woody Owens -- or they may have simply skipped over this particular race while casting their ballot.

VOTER ENGAGEMENT KEY FOR DALIA KASSEB TO WIN ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 IN THE RACE FOR PEARLAND CITY COUNCIL AT-LARGE POSITION #7

Dalia Kasseb led her race from start to finish in General Election.

At first glance, the election returns look as if Dalia Kasseb should be the clear favorite -- but not so fast! A deeper review of the "PRECINCT CANVASS REPORT" for this particular race paints a different picture of what actually happened back on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the General Election race for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #7.

A QUICK REVIEW

VOTER PRECINCT 12 and VOTER PRECINCT 26 were won by G.C. Sonny Atkins. VOTER PRECINCT 27 was won by Sherry Stockwell. Keep in mind, VOTER PRECINCT'S 13, 28, 29, 36, 44, 50, 54, 59, 60, 62, 67, 762, and 1134 were won by Dalia Kasseb. VOTER ENGAGEMENT AND OUTREACH IS KEY IF WOODY OWENS IS TO OVERTAKE DALIA KASSEB IN THE RUNOFF RACE FOR PEARLAND CITY COUNCIL AT-LARGE POSITION #7

Woody Owens is the "PROHIBITIVE FAVORITE" in the race for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #7. However, he must still run a race that involves outreach to all Pearlanders to win on Saturday, June 10, 2017.
THIS RACE WON'T BE EASY

Woody Owens found himself in a dog-fight for votes with Sherry Stockwell, Bud Tollefsen, G.C. Sonny Atkins and Terry Gray who were all pretty much campaigning for the same/similar votes back on Saturday, May 6, 2017 in the General Election race for Pearland City Council At-Large Position #7. However, in the Saturday, June 10, 2017 "HEAD-TO-HEAD-SHOWDOWN" between he and Dalia Kasseb he won't have this challenge to overcome. But overtaking Dalia Kasseb won't be an easy task -- especially if Woody Owens does not reach out to Pearlanders beyond his base.

SHERRY STOCKWELL ENDORSES WOODY OWENS OVER DALIA KASSEB

Sherry Stockwell, the third place finisher who gained 1,400 votes (or 19.28%) is endorsing Woody Owens over Dalia Kasseb in the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election race for Pearland City Council Position #7.

G.C. SONNY ATKINS ENDORSES WOODY OWENS OVER DALIA KASSEB

G.C. Sonny Atkinsthe fourth place finisher who gained 701 votes (or 9.65% of the vote) is endorsing Woody Owens over Dalia Kasseb in the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election race for Pearland City Council Position #7.

TERRY GRAY ENDORSES WOODY OWENS OVER DALIA KASSEB

Terry Gray, the fifth place finisher who gained 498 votes (or 6.86% of the vote) is endorsing Woody Owens over Dalia Kasseb in the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election race for Pearland City Council Position #7.

THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE

I wasn’t very good in mathematics in grade school or college. However, it doesn’t take a mathematician to figure out that the 1,400 votes from Sherry Stockwell, coupled with the 701 votes from G.C. Sonny Atkins, and the 498 votes being brought to the table by Terry Gray equals a net gain of 2,599 potential votes for Woody Owens – if he’s able to get those Pearlanders to return to the polls on Saturday, June 10, 2017. And we haven’t even added the 1,531 votes Woody Owens garnered for himself back on Saturday, May 6, 2017. When you add Woody Owens’ numbers to the pot his potential voter support balloons to: 4,130 – which would be more than enough for him to run away with the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Election for Pearland City Council Position #7. Especially if the turnout in Shadow Creek Ranch (where Dalia Kasseb lives) and other targeted demographics don't turnout in record numbers.

EVEN RECORD TURNOUT NUMBERS ON SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 MAY NOT BE ENOUGH FOR KASSEB TO HOLD OFF WOODY OWENS

In my opinion, for Dalia Kasseb to hold off the momentum gained by Woody Owens with his recent endorsements he received from Stockwell, Atkins and Gray she must double her turnout numbers from the Saturday, May 6, 2017 General Election. Is this possible -- YES! But is this likely to happen -- NO! But as we learned in the 2016 Presidential Election -- anything can happen in politics!

PEARLAND POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION HAS ALSO ENDORSED WOODY OWENS IN THE SATURDAY, JUNE 10, 2017 RUNOFF ELECTION

MESSAGE FROM JAMES MCGUIRE, PRESIDENT PEARLAND POLICE OFFICERS ASSOCIATION PAC: “As we enter the runoff election for Pearland City Council Position 7, we must evaluate each of the candidates and ask ourselves who will lead Pearland into the future and bring about a positive change for all of Pearland’s residents. To do this, you need someone who is not only qualified for the position, but also has the knowledge and experience to do so. Only one candidate can meet these demands and that candidate is Woody Owens. Woody Owens is a longtime Pearland resident who has experience serving on city council and will be able to hit the ground running. Woody Owens has both the education and work experience to effectively represent the city as a councilman. Mr. Owens has, and currently does, sit on numerous boards and organizations that show his leadership capabilities. Based on these reasons, it is clear to us that Woody Owens is not only extremely qualified for Pearland City Council Position 7, but is also the clear choice to lead Pearland into the future. Therefore, the Pearland Police Officers Association P.A.C. would like to announce our endorsement of Woody Owens for Pearland City Council Position 7. We wish Mr. Owens luck and look forward to working with you soon. Respectfully, James McGuire President Pearland Police Officers Association P.A.C.”

THESE INDIVIDUALS BELIEVE WOODY OWENS IS THE MOST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE IN THIS RACE

Sherry Stockwell, Terry Gray, and G.C. Sonny Atkins are endorsing Woody.

Beware of people who will try to paint these endorsements as anything other than quality decisions made by informed Pearlanders. My hope is for the Saturday, June 10, 2017 Runoff Race between Dalia Kasseb and Woody Owens to be a clean race run by both candidates -- based on issues and qualifications.
