Sheila Jackson Lee Isn’t Supported By As Many Blacks as People Think; Blacks Like Charles Stamps Are Against Sheila

Charles Stamps, the founder of the MLK Grande Parade is against Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee's bid to become Mayor of Houston, Texas. “When she’s soundly defeated in November she will simply go back to the U.S. Congress after winning the Democratic Primary in the only district that she can win in,” he boldly declared. Interested candidates who want to run for City of Houston Mayor, City Houston Controller, and Houston City Council must file their treasurer with the city secretary, before raising any money. The "OFFICIAL FILING PERIOD" will not begin until Saturday, July 22, 2023, and will last through Monday, August 21, 2023. You can "CLICK HERE" to check out some of our 2023 City of Houston Endorsements, and 2024 Super Tuesday Endorsements.

Political Consultant Claude Foster claims, “For the Record. Congresswoman Jackson Lee has sponsored 513 bills in her last 27 years in office, voting with her party 88.8 percent of the time, getting 5.46 percent of her bills out of committee, and 1.36 percent of her sponsored bills enacted.”

Community Activist Gerry Wayne Monroe is not supporting Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee's bid to become Mayor of Houston, Texas on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. "So, Sheila Jackson Lee wants to become Mayor of the City of Houston? Hell "NO"!!!"

Community Activist Tammica Jones Motley is not supporting Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee's 2023 bid for Mayor of Houston, Texas. "She did nothing in a congressional seat now she ‘wanna’ do nothing in a local seat. It’s a no for me.”

Pastor F.N. Williams, Sr., is not swayed by Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee entering the race for Mayor of Houston, Texas. Pastor Williams has declared publicly that he's sticking with state Senator John Whitmire in the race for Mayor of the City of Houston. “It’s gratifying to see John Whitmire as he has labored to make Texas a better place, from a kid at Waltrip to where he is today,” says Pastor Williams.“I think John Whitmire will do an excellent job as mayor of the city of Houston. I support him 100 percent. That’s my boy.”

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "We must make it our business to start "PUTTING PEOPLE OVER POLITICS" going forward into the 2023 City of Houston Mayoral Election, the 2024 Democratic Party Primary, and 2024 Republican Party Primary. Our nation is at a serious crossroads, and a serious course correction is desperately needed in America."

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

There’s a desperate need for someone to start doing some serious fact-checking of the news stories, being published, the propaganda being fed to the American people and the flat-out lies that are being told to the Black community.

I haven’t checked into this, but, Claude Foster, the owner of CGA Consultants and a former Community Liaison at the City of Houston, and former Regional VI Director for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, has stepped forward to defend the record of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee since she’s been serving as the U.S. Representative for the 18th Congressional District of Texas.

In an effort to set the record straight, in a Facebook exchange, on a segment of “THE WAR ZONE” that’s produced by Gerry Wayne Monroe, the 5 Star General, Claude Foster couldn't take any more negative comments about Queen Sheila in the comment section.

Tammica Jones Motley had been posting comments about Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee for most of the segment. Then she said, “She did nothing in a congressional seat now she ‘wanna’ do nothing in a local seat. It’s a no for me.” But Motley wasn’t done. “With a city already riddled with crime she not the one.”

“We still haven’t solved the issues with these school shootings. They can’t keep these kids safe and they get millions of dollars in funding smh,” wrote Motley.

An African American male by the name of Bernard Lane chimed in, “Politics has made a lot of African Americans sell their souls.” Bernard Lane went on to say, “I think Dems played the race card too long with “Repubs” now it’s backfired.

 --------------------------------------

After a few more comments, Claude Foster stepped in to try and set the record straight, by stating, “For the Record. Congresswoman Jackson Lee has sponsored 513 bills in her last 27 years in office, voting with her party 88.8 percent of the time, getting 5.46 percent of her bills out of committee, and 1.36 percent of her sponsored bills enacted.”

Now, I haven’t fact-checked the comments made by Claude Foster, but if true, this is news to me.

Someone at a major media outlet needs to look into Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s track record and publish the real hard facts, so that voters will be informed and empowered to make a wise voting decision on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, in the race for Mayor of the City of Houston, Texas.

For the record, I don’t particularly care for former Harris County Clerk Chis Hollins from a personal, business, or political perspective. I believe that Hollins is a weak man, and He does not have the courage or intestinal fortitude it takes to run the fourth most populous city in America.

As for former At-Large Council Member Amanda Edwards goes, I don’t really know of anything she's accomplished or done that's of any significance.

All I can remember about Amanda Edwards serving on Houston City Council is that she showed up to council meetings and then pretty much just sat there like a bump on a log. But even with that said, what’s happening to Hollins and Edwards right now in terms of the pressure tactics that are 'allegedly' being used to get them to drop out of the Mayor's race is unfair, and needs to stop.

Nobody has the right to try and stop Hollins and Edwards from running for Mayor on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. And the belief that some of these Blacks are “KINGMAKERS” or “LORDS” of the Black political world is crazy. Nobody owns the Black community.

  --------------------------------------

All of these ego-tripping Negroes need to go and sit their tails down somewhere!!! And the perceived power they supposedly have over “THE BLACK COMMUNITY” only exists in the figments of their imaginations.

  --------------------------------------

If I was advising, Chris Hollins, I would tell him to stay in the race for Mayor of Houston.

I would also tell Chris Hollins to shrug off the attempts of these self-serving Negroes, who don’t believe he can win, and tell them to go straight to hell.

And as for former Councilwoman Amanda Edwards, she didn’t win her bid to become a United States Senator back in 2020, but she is the only candidate currently running for Mayor of Houston, who has proven that they can win a citywide election.

Back on November 3, 2015, in the City of Houston “RUNOFF ELECTION” Amanda Edwards soundly defeated Roy Morales in the runoff for the Houston City Council At-Large Position #4 seat. Amanda Edwards received 106,126 votes, for 61.5% of the vote, and Roy Morales only received 66,372 votes, for 38.5% of the vote.

And remember, to make the runoff back in 2015, Amanda Edwards defeated a pretty stellar group of competitors to take the seat. Edwards got the better of Roy Morales, Laurie Robinson, Matt Murphy, Larry Blackmon, Jonathan Hansen, and Evelyn Husband Thompson en route to becoming the councilwoman for the At-Large Position #4 seat on Houston City Council.

When you look at it, if anything, the political party bosses who are trying to clear the way for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee could be afraid of someone like Amanda Edwards. Why? Well, unlike Chris Hollins, Amanda Edwards has courage, and intestinal fortitude, and Amanda wouldn’t be beholden to the likes of Mayor Sylvester Turner and Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis if she were to win the race to succeed Mayor Sylvester Turner on November 7th.

For instance, it took a lot of courage for Amanda Edwards to give up her At-Large seat and run for the U.S. Senate back during the 2020 Democratic Party on March 3, 2022, against state senator Royce West, former Congressman Chris Bell, Michael Cooper, Victor Harris Adrian Ocegueda, Mary Jennings, and others. That being said, in my book, Amanda Edwards had the courage to follow her conviction.

Unlike Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee in the upcoming November 7, 2023, race for Mayor, Amanda Edwards had to relinquish her seat when she ran for the U.S. Senate back during the 2020 Democratic Party Primary, in Texas.

What am I trying to say? Well, what Sheila Jackson Lee is doing right now is selfish, egotistical, and not in the best interest of Black people. What am I talking about? Well, the runoff election for the upcoming November 7, 2023, Mayoral Election will more than likely take place on Saturday, December 9, 2023. What’s the problem? Well, two days later (Monday, December 11, 2023) is the deadline for candidates to sign up to run for office in the 2024 Presidential Election.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee will be holding the 18th Congressional District hostage, while she tries to see if she can become Mayor. What’s honorable about what Sheila is doing? Sheila isn’t as confident in herself as she portends to be when she’s jumping in front of every camera that’s nearby.

Sheila Jackson Lee is taking the path of a coward. “SJL has been the de facto Mayor of Houston for the past 8 years,” says Charles Stamps a very well-known African American who founded the MLK Grande Parade many years ago.

“Most of the City initiatives brought forward during this period were significantly influenced or outright crafted by SJL,” explains Stamps.

He went on to say, “Her announcement for a run for the Mayor’s Office is yet another selfish ploy that will usher in a new leadership and a new direction for Houston politics and policies for the next 8 years and probably beyond,” he proclaims.

But Stamps, someone whom I have leaned on over the years for knowledge, behind the scenes, doesn’t believe that Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee can win the Mayor’s race. “When she’s soundly defeated in November she will simply go back to the U.S. Congress after winning the Democratic Primary in the only district that she can win in,” he boldly declared.

He went on to say, “Meanwhile, she will deny other qualified candidates an opportunity to seek higher public office or public offices in general.” And if you ask me, Charles Stamps is absolutely correct, and what Sheila Jackson Lee is doing right now is self-serving.

According to Stamps, “The traditional voting blocs are being realigned by demographic shifts and the current political atmosphere.”

“Once again, greed and personal egos will allow for the state of Texas to remain conservative and Ruby Red,” says Charles Stamps.

When you look at it, Charles Stamps is correct about the changing demographics currently being experienced by the City of Houston which is expected to overtake Chicago as the third-largest city in America by the year 2025, in terms of population.

As it stands right now, Houston is growing by leaps and bounds due to the open-boarders policy, that Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and her Washington D. C., happen to be largely responsible for.

A video released by John Whitmire’s Campaign on Facebook, featuring Pastor F.N. Williams, Sr., shows that Whitmire is planning to dig in and fight Sheila Jackson Lee tooth and nail for the Black vote. “It’s gratifying to see John Whitmire as he has labored to make Texas a better place, from a kid at Waltrip to where he is today,” says Pastor Williams.

Pastor Williams went on to say, “I think John Whitmire will do an excellent job as mayor of the city of Houston. I support him 100 percent. That’s my boy.”

Finally, on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, “THE BLACK COMMUNITY” must push back and refuse to continue to play the 1960s game of follow-the-leader that we’ve been playing for far too long. In case you don’t know, it’s insane to continue to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result.
