Judge Michelle Moore (seated second from right) and several of the other African American female "BLACK DEMOCRATIC JUDGES" in Harris County, Texas have done a good job since taking their respective benches back in the 2018 Midterm Election. However, a few of these judges are under fire, and are facing very tough "REPUBLICAN OPPONENTS" on Tuesday, November 8, 2022. Now, with all of that said, several of these "BLACK DEMOCRATIC INCUMBENTS" like Judge Dedra Davis (270th Civil District Court), Judge Ronnisha Bowman (County Criminal Court No. 2), and Justice of the Peace Lucia Bates got challenged back on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, in the Democratic Party Primary and was able to beat back their Democratic challengers.
Judge Michelle Moore is a real gem!!! I am so proud of this young woman. In case you don't know, Judge Michelle Moore is the presiding judge of the 314th Juvenile District Court in Harris County, Texas and will be headlining the most diverse field of "JUDICIAL NOMINEES" ever assembled in American history. She and her fellow "DEMOCRATIC JUDICIAL NOMINEES" worked very hard to sweep Harris County, Texas back during the 2018 Midterm Election, with the assistance of straight-ticket voting. But since then, straight-ticket voting has been abolished.
Judge Michelle Moore received 57.16% of the vote against the sitting Republican judge by the name of Judge John F. Phillips who only received 42.84% of the vote back on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in the 2022 Midterm Election. This time around, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, she will face a much tougher opponent when she faces off against Cindy Hide, her Republican challenger.
Judge Moore is a True Gem, the Kind of Judge All Texans Should Be Proud of During the Pivotal Moment in American History
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
Back in November of 2018, Michelle Moore was elected 314th District Court Judge and took office on January 1, 2019. The 314th Court hears cases of juvenile delinquency, child welfare, immigration, and adoption. In addition, the 314th has a specialty drug court called SOAR-Sobriety over Addiction and Relapse. The SOAR court identifies juveniles who have a dependency on drugs and/or alcohol. The court then builds a customized substance abuse rehabilitation program that is tailored to fit the juvenile’s individual needs and circumstances. When building this rehabilitation program, the Court seeks out the input of mental health professionals, the juvenile probation department, attorneys, and parent advocates.
A TRUE GEM
Judge Moore earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Prairie View A&M University in 2001. Following her graduation from college, she worked in the Harris County jail as a jailer before attending law school at the University of Houston Law Center. She received her law degree in 2006 and began her legal career in Cameron County which is located in Brownsville, Texas. She worked in the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney. She then moved to Dallas and worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office before returning home to work at Harris County Attorney’s Office as an Assistant County Attorney in the Child Protection Division. Judge Moore was Chief of the 315th court team from 2012 until her last day with the HCAO in 2018.
Judge Moore is a mother to three beautiful children and has a love for fitness and home improvement projects.
Back in the 2018 Midterm Election, Judge Michelle Moore was endorsed by the Houston Business Connections Newspaper© “READER BOARD” and the Houston Chronicle “EDITORIAL BOARD” as well. That being said, she did not get challenged back in the March 1, 2022, Democratic Party. However, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, she is challenged by Cindy Hide, the Republican nominee in the race for the 314th Juvenile District Court in Harris County, Texas.
In case you don't remember, the Houston Chronicle called Michelle Moore “WELL QUALIFIED” when they endorsed her candidacy in the last Midterm Election. And based on her “JUDICIAL TEMPERAMENT” and unbiased approach to administering justice, she’s the kind of “DEMOCRATIC” who could be returned to the bench if Harris County, Texas goes "PURPLE" instead of us seeing a "RED WAVE" or a "BLUE WAVE on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, in what's expected to see be the most competitive Midterm Election in the history of the Lone Star State.
Judge Moore’s three-prong approach to working with troubled youth seems to be working. And for that reason alone, Judge Michelle Moore has earned the respect of attorneys from both sides of the aisle who practice before her. And as a side note, I firmly believe that the Houston Chronicle got it right when they wrote, “Moore exhibits the commitment to fair and impartial justice that is currently lacking,” when they compared Michelle Moore to her Republican counterpart whom she went on to handily defeat back on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in the general election.

"Over the course of the last few years, I've caught flack from both sides of the political aisle and have consistently been disrespected, shunned, and ignored by a lot of folks. I've also been threatened directly and indirectly since I began investigating local dirty politicians and their cronies who are committed to remaining in power by any means necessary. That being said, I am strongly encouraging you to do your own research and identify the candidates you like. Once you've developed your slate, I need for you to then, combine my slate with yours. Listen!!! The upcoming Tuesday, November 8, 2022, Midterm Election is unquestionably the most important election of our generation. And thus, propaganda, flat-out lies, and deceptive news reports are being peddled to the public like popcorn at the "RINGLING BROS AND BARNUM & BAILEY CIRCUS" on a daily basis. So, please join me in "Putting People Over Politics" as God's plan for America continues to unfold during this pivotal moment in the history of our great nation."
