In the race for Harris County Justice of the Peace Precinct 4, Place 1: Lincoln Goodwin won the Houston Bar Association 2016 Judicial Preference Poll over Vicky Printers Reynolds

The Houston Bar Association (HBA) recently released the results of its 2016 Judicial Preference Poll. The HBA posted the results on its website, www.hba.org.

The Judicial Preference Poll is not an endorsement by the Houston Bar Association.*

In each election year, the HBA asks its members to indicate their preferences in contested judicial and some administrative races. The 2016 Judicial Preference Poll includes Democratic, Green, Libertarian, and Republican candidates in contested races for the Supreme Court of Texas, the Court of Criminal Appeals, the Houston Courts of Appeals, Harris County District Courts, Harris County Courts at Law, Justice of the Peace Courts, Harris County District Attorney, and Harris County Attorney. The poll was conducted through online voting, with 1,962 ballots cast, representing a return rate of 21.2% of eligible HBA voters.

Believing that an informed electorate is vital to the efficient administration of justice, the Houston Bar Association has conducted judicial polls since the early 1970s.

(ATTENTION HARRIS COUNTY REPUBLICAN VOTERS): In the race for Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, Place 1 -- Lincoln Goodwin is the nominee who will represent the Republican Party on the Tuesday, November 8, 2016 General Election ballot. Judge Goodwin is the incumbent in this race. (ATTENTION HARRIS COUNTY DEMOCRATIC VOTERS): On the Democratic side, Vicky Printers Reynolds will represent the Democratic Party in the race for Harris County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, Place 1 in the November General Election.

Judge Elaine Palmer is asking for your vote and support in this race. The race for District Judge for the 215th Judicial District in Harris County will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 to decide who will represent the Democratic Party on the Tuesday, November 8, 2016 General Election ballot. Judge Elaine Palmer is the incumbent in this race. The winner of the Tuesday, May 24, 2016 Democratic Party Primary election will then have to face off against Fred Shuchart the Republican nominee. As of today, Judge Elaine Palmer is the only candidate asking for our prayers, vote and support in the Tuesday, May 24, 2016 Democratic Primary "Runoff Race" for District Judge for the 215th Judicial District Court in Harris County, Texas. Early voting for this race will begin on Monday, May 16, 2016 and end on Friday, May 20, 2016. Our friend and supporter Clyde Raymond Leuchtag would like for you to mark your calendar for Tuesday, November 8, 2016. In the race for Judge, County Civil Court at Law No. 1 -- Clyde Raymond Leuchtag is the nominee who will represent the Republican Party on the Tuesday, November 8, 2016 General Election ballot. On the Democratic side, George Barnstone defeated F. Richard Leach to earn the right to represent the Democratic Party in the race for Judge, County Civil Court at Law No. 1 in the November General Election. As of today, Judge Leuchtag is the only candidate asking for our prayers, vote and support in the race for Judge for Harris County Civil Court at Law #1. Early voting for this election will begin on Monday, October 24, 2016 and end on Friday, November 4, 2016.
