DAY 1: Tony Buzbee Put on a Great Showing on First Day of Early Voting; A few Key Areas for Mayor Turner Appeared to Be Down

As it stands right now, Tony Buzbee is heavily favored over Mayor Sylvester Turner at (9) nine of the (33) thirty-three early voting sites according to a Houston Business Connections Newspaper© independent review of voting trends and political leanings in the areas where each of the early voting centers resides. At first glance, it may appear that Tony Buzbee may have fewer sites with the potential to go his way, but you have to understand that Buzbee is actually fishing in ponds that have a much greater number of likely voters who will typically turn out to cast their ballot in a runoff election. However, as it stands right now, Mayor Sylvester Turner could be heavy to slightly favored over Tony Buzbee at (18) eighteen of the (33) thirty-three early voting polling sites according to the Houston Business Connections Newspaper© independent review of the voting trends and political leanings in the areas where the early voting sites studied are uniquely positioned. The greatest question for Mayor Turner, right now, however, is will he be able to get his base to turn back out to cast a ballot for a second time. And in case you are wondering about the remaining locations, (6) six of the early voting locations are considered to be in the up-for-grabs category according to the Houston Business Connections Newspaper© independent review.

Tony Buzbee Seeks to Unseat Mayor Sylvester Turner; Where Voters Turnout for the Runoff Election Will Be Key for Buzbee to Pull Off a Victory

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Based on my knowledge of demographics and political leanings associated with the areas where each of the early voting polling centers resides, this report is being published to assist Houston Business Connections Newspaper© readers with determining how the election is going so far. As I've stated all along, I believe that Tony Buzbee and Mayor Sylvester Turner are about to produce a record-setting runoff turnout as it relates to the City of Houston's past runoff election turnouts. However, Houstonians should not take anything for granted during the early voting cycle. Why? I'm glad you asked. Judging from what we saw happen back on the day before Thanksgiving, the 9,490 in-person votes already shows that Houstonians are a little more excited about the runoff than they were on the first day of early voting for the general election. In case you don't remember, only 7,973 in-person votes were cast back on Monday, October 21, 2019.

“Mean Gene” Hill Shares His Thoughts on the Mayor's Race with Aubrey R. Taylor

I’ve been saying for months now, that support for Tony Buzbee in the Black Community is continuing to grow. I’m not just making this stuff up. I am not sure why nobody else is talking about this. To this end, I recently asked Eugene “Mean Gene” Hill a professional heavyweight boxer with a record of 34 wins and 2 losses to share a few thoughts about his friendship with Tony Buzbee.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: How long have you and Tony Buzbee been friends?

MEAN GENE: “Tony and I have been friends since 2007. It began with him sponsoring me in my boxing career and a solid friendship grew from there, now we are like family.”

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: How do you feel about your friend Tony Buzbee running for mayor of Houston?

MEAN GENE: “I'm excited for him. I can say that Tony has Houston's best interest at heart. He didn't have to run for mayor, but he feels strongly about doing all he can to help improve a city that he loves so much.”

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: What would you say to the Houstonians who are (still undecided) about whether to vote for Tony Buzbee or Mayor Sylvester Turner?

MEAN GENE: “Turner has shown Houston what he can do and what his priorities are. I'd ask the (undecided) voters if they were happy with what they've seen.

I don't think there is a PERFECT person, but there is the BEST person for the position as the mayor of Houston. Tony has always fought for the people, as he's shown this time and time again, as a United States Marine, as a lawyer, and as a human being.

Campaign speeches, commercials, and politics aside... Just look at the depth in which both candidates have demonstrated as it relates to improving the quality of life for people. You will clearly see that Tony's level of commitment and sacrifice for the people far surpasses that of Turner.”
