Sheila Jackson Lee Has a 51% Unfavorable Rating in the Polls; Gilbert Garcia is Tied for Third with Dr. Jack Christie

Gilbert Garcia (left), and former prizefighter, turned businessman Eric Carr (right) are business partners who have joined forces to provide Affordable Housing to underserved communities. Gilbert Garcia owns a company called Gilbert Andrew Garcia Affordable Homes, and Eric Carr owns a company called E&E Construction. However, when it comes to the race for Mayor of Houston, businessman Eric Carr has found himself in a situation where his love for his longtime friend, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and his business partner (Gilbert Garcia) are faced off against one another. A MAN OF HIS WORD... On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, I watched Eric Carr turn to Gilbert Garcia and tell him how much he loves Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, and wouldn't do anything to hurt her. Needless to say, my respect and admiration for Carr's straightforwardness, has grown exponentially since yesterday. You can "CLICK HERE" to view my "LET'S MAKE HISTORY TOGETHER" edition online.

Former Prizefighter Eric Carr, and his youngest son Bryce Carr, are at the final resting place of Eric's mom, Gwendolyn Joyce Carr, who was laid to rest a few months ago. Carr is a respected businessman, father, and community leader.

Gilbert Andrew Garcia (GH&A) Affordable Homes are under development in partnership with E&E Construction. Garcia is also running for Mayor of Houston in the upcoming Tuesday, November 7, 2023, City of Houston Mayoral Election. You can "CLICK HERE" to learn more.

According to the UH School of Public Affairs Poll, State Senator John Whitmire has 34%, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee has 31%, and none of the other candidates are polling above 4%, but that's a lie. My statistical analysis and projections have former City of Houston At-Large Councilman Jack Christie, and former METRO Chairman Gilbert Garcia within striking distance of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, in the race for Mayor.

Gilbert Garcia Finds Himself Tied for Third With Dr. Jack Christie in the Polls; Eric Carr and Gilbert Garcia Are Doing Good

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Gilbert Garcia is making tactical blunder after tactical blunder. From what I understand, he aired an ad last night, shortly before on KPRC shortly before the debate complaining about the process that was used to select the candidates who would be on stage.

“They set up a process where the number of contributions lets you win, and some candidates had hundreds of $1 contributions,” he stated in the advertisement. He went on to say, “I’m not going to play those sorts of shenanigans.”

The thing that breaks my heart about Gilbert Garcia, is that he still has a shot to run a competitive race, and he doesn’t even realize it.

“RACE NOT OVER.”

Several months ago I called Gilbert Garcia’s campaign trash, and Garcia took issue with what I said about his floundering campaign. However, the University of Houston Hobby School of Public Affairs poll that was released yesterday, validated my assessment and how the former METRO chairman has almost squandered the unique opportunity that he almost inherited.

Gilbert Garcia, according to the poll is sitting at a dismal 4%, along with former City Councilman Jack Christie, another candidate who I believe would make a great mayor.

As for the two perceived frontrunners, John Whitmire is sitting at 34%, and Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is sitting at 31% -- if you believe the pollsters. But the key takeaway from the poll is that 22% of Houstonians are still undecided, which means that Gilbert Garcia and Dr. Jack Christie still have time to close the gap, on the two perceived frontrunners.

The poll, which was conducted between September 30 and October 6, 2023, showed that State Senator John Whitmire would defeat Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee by a 50% to 36% margin, if the two were to meet on Saturday, December 9, 2023, in the runoff election.

Sheila Jackson Lee is unliked by the majority of Houstonians. In fact, 51% of likely voters hold an unfavorable opinion of this woman. Of the people polled, 41% of those hold an unfavorable opinion of Sheila Jackson Lee, which is atrocious.

“THE BLACK VOTE.”

The thing that worries me most about the University of Houston Hobby School of Public Affairs poll is where the pollsters claim that 68% of African Americans would favor Sheila Jackson Lee over John Whitmire in the runoff election – which is a little off in my opinion.

Black people don’t particularly care for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, in my opinion. Did you hear me? I said, “BLACK VOTERS” don’t particularly care for Sheila Jackson Lee, the way many people believe we do.

I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of looking at Sheila Jackson Lee slithering, wiggling, and squirming her way into being front and center when TV cameras show up. And I’m fed up with her and her pedophile pastor buddies.

Any Black voters who cast their vote for Sheila Jackson Lee is an idiot.

“EMBARRASSMENT.”

I’m still upset about what I personally witnessed back on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the homegoing service of Gwendolyn Joyce Carr, the mother of businessman and former prizefighter Eric Carr.

As I think back on that funeral it still infuriates me. When you get down to it, upset is an understatement, but it’s one of only a handful of words that I find appropriate to explain the emotions I’m feeling to this day!!! Sheila Jackson Lee crashed a funeral – people!!! What an embarrassment!!! What’s wrong with this lady?

What was Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee even thinking?

I don’t normally attend funerals, but I respect and admire Eri Carr, and wanted to show my support for him, and his family, back on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the Kashmere Gardens Church of Christ, that’s located at 4315 Leffingwell Street, on Houston’s north side.

“A BIG SURPRISE.”

To be honest, I was a little impressed by all of the dignitaries and public officials who showed up to show their respect to Eric Carr’s mother. There was a who’s who list of politicians in attendance to support Eric Carr, his brother, and two sisters. And things were going well, until “QUEEN SHEILA” showed up, and someone started shouting, “Houston Next Mayor,” from the crowd.

What is wrong with our people? Who would come to a funeral to promote themselves? I’m not sure, whether the person who was yelling about Shiela Jackson Lee’s candidacy for mayor was a plant at the funeral or not, but for future reference, to all politicians, a funeral service isn’t the place to make political speeches while families are mourning and grieving the loss of their loved one!!! Stop it!!!

“MAD RESPECT.”

Since meeting Eric Carr a few years ago, my respect and admiration for him has grown exponentially. I didn’t get it at first, but after attending his mother’s funeral, I have a better understanding of how the former prizefighter to businessman is deep down inside.

I now know why Carr is highly respected by former heavyweight champions and other important people in high places.

Earlier this week, I attended a meeting with Eric Carr, Gilbert Garcia, his partner Stephanie Roberts, and a member of Gilbert Garcia’s campaign team.

During the meeting at the headquarters for Garcia Hamilton & Associates, my respect for Eric Carr grew even stronger, as I watched him turn toward Gilbert Garcia, look him in the eye, and say, “I love Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, would never do anything to hurt her.”

“THE TV COMMERCIAL.”

I love the TV Commercial that Gilbert Garcia released recently picturing Eric Carr, walking along beside him. In case you don’t know, Eric Carr and Gilbert Garcia have a business relationship. And even though he has a business relationship with Gilbert Garcia, his love for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, showed up, as he displayed a strong empathy and conviction for her in Gilbert’s conference room.
