Dr. Kendall L. Baker (right) is currently serving on the Harris County Republican Party Executive Committee. He burst onto the scene several years ago as one of the most vocal conservative leaders who were instrumental in defeating the HERO Ordinance (better known as the BATHROOM ORDINANCE that would have allowed for men to be allowed to use women bathrooms. In case you don't remember, Dr. Baker's resounding voice was featured as the first local leader (in a series of compelling radio commercials) that eventually caused the measure to be defeated by a wide margin at the ballot box. But he didn't do it alone, what a lot of folks don't know, is that the ultimate demise of the BATHROOM ORDINANCE was actually made possible through a coordinated effort and outreach to African American females, who showed up at the polls in groves to beat back the ordinance. Also, in case you haven't heard, Attorney Kevin Fulton, who currently serves as the Vice-Chairman of the Harris County Republican Party (also an African American male) is mulling a bid to become chairman, according to published reports. Both Dr. Baker, and Attorney Fulton, if elected, would focus their energies on increasing the party's base through reaching out to African Americans and Hispanics -- which is severely needed to make the GOP relevant in Harris County, Texas again.
Dr. Kendall Baker Plans to Become the Next Chairman of the Harris County Republican Party of Texas at their Upcoming Emergency Meeting
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
I was informed by Dr. Kendall Baker last night that he intends to become the new Chairman of the Harris County Republican Party of Texas. As you know, Republican Party leaders recently called for Keith Neilson, to step down. Earlier this week I also received an email from the NAACP thanking those brave Republican leaders. In their email, the local branch of the NAACP stated, “The racist postings on Neilson’s social media platforms are more than disgusting. Desecrating the image of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is the lowest of insults, not only to African Americans but to all Americans who value Dr. King’s life’s work and the sacrificial death on behalf of freedom, equality, and justice. Neilson’s depictions are reflective of a mindset that has fueled systemic racism for centuries. The expressions are also indicative of the reality that America, Texas, and Harris County, remain threatened by the Germanizing effects of generational racists attitudes. Unfortunately, Neilson made public what many have successfully kept in private. More dangerous are the policies and strategic outcomes he has influenced over the years, in collaboration with others who embrace such demented and divisive views. A free and democratic society depends on mutual respect and justice. Again, on behalf of all African Americans in our city and county, the NAACP Houston Branch Thanks You!” Thus, Dr. Kendall Baker, who is also a member of the Republican Party Executive Committee has seen and heard enough. And has boldly stepped forward and expressed his desire to lead the HCRP forward into 2022, and beyond.

Keith Nielsen came under fire after posting the above photo on his Facebook account a few months ago, and never really gained any traction as the Harris County Republican Party Chairman. So, he resigned on Monday, November 30, 2020, ending his brief tenure.
Dr. Kendall L. Baker Believe That Change is Needed Right Now at the Harris County Republican Party
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
Is Dr. Kendall Baker the right choice to lead the party? Your guess is as good as mine. But one thing that’s a certainty, is that Republicans are not going to ever win Harris County, Texas again unless some very serious changes aren’t made. In case you’ve been under a rock somewhere, and haven’t been paying attention, the Harris County Republican Party is losing more and more ground to the Harris County Democratic Party. And unless something is done right here, right now, I don’t see a Republican winning a countywide race anytime soon – unless someone like former Harris County Judge Ed Emmett steps in, and the local GOP diversifies their ballot a lot more – and they must do it right now! And above everything else, they must recruit more African Americans and Hispanic candidates. And embracing their history is a must too. According to their website, African Americans were one group of Texans that would consistently support the Republican Party in Texas in the early years of their party. They’ve must embrace this fact – and extend that beyond their current base. It’s vitally important for them to find creative ways to let folks know that, throughout Reconstruction, African Americans comprised about 90% of their membership. For the life of me, I do not understand why they are not promoting the true history of their party. Hell, at one point, 44 African Americans served in the Texas legislature as Republicans. Did you know that? And get this, according to their website, it was through the hard work of a number of dedicated African American men and women that the earliest foundations of the Republican Party of Texas were laid. The first-ever state Republican convention that met in Houston on July 4, 1867, was predominantly African American in composition, with about 150 African American Texans attending, and 20 Anglos – people need to know this. And they also need to know that, the second State GOP Chairman, Norris Wright Cuney, an African-American from Galveston who led the Republican Party from 1883 to 1897, is said by State historians to have held “the most important political position given to a black man of the South in the nineteenth century.” So, it’s unmistakably clear that drastic changes are indeed needed.

Dr. Kendall L. Baker believes that if he gets the support he needs and becomes Chairman of the Harris County Republican Party, he will be able to grow the party's base in 2022 and field a more diverse slate of candidates including more Blacks and Hispanics. He's is pictured above with a few African American women from the Harris County, Texas area.
Dr. Kendall L. Baker Believes that He Can Grow the Harris County Republican Party Base if He's Elected Chairman
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
As I’ve already stated, Dr. Kendall Baker believes that he’s the right man to make the Harris County Republican Party of Texas relevant again. “After much meditation, I’m officially putting my name in the hat to become the Harris County Republican Party Chairman. It takes a person who has seen a failure to turn it into success,” said Dr. Baker who has run for office several times as a Republican, but came up short – in part to a lack of support from local GOP leadership. “Our leadership needs new blood,” he says. “As a native Houstonian and a lifetime public servant, I know how to involve all people. Someone with a recent track record of converting hardcore Democrats to Republicans,” he claims. And I can personally vouch for him doing that – I know more than a few Democrats who went over and voted in Republican primaries in recent years to try and help Dr. Kendall Baker win in several of his bids for office running on the Republican ticket – only to see him and his fellow conservatives come up short – primarily because of a lack of support and ingenuity from the local leaders of their party. “I have what it takes to bring the lost sheep back home while strengthening those who are here right now,” boasts Dr. Baker. “No hidden motives, I’m not in it for the money, but can raise money,” he proclaims. And he’s going to have his hands full trying to do that – but I guess anything is possible with the right pitchman. Dr. Baker went on to say that he believes that he can make sure that Harris County, Texas is never threatened with the prospects of becoming blue again. Now that’s a very bold statement, but with the right strategy, and the right field of candidates, I guess anything is possible. “Republicans will win way more seats under my leadership,” he proclaims. “So, now you have another choice and I humbly and prayerfully ask for your support,” he said.

"In my opinion, the Harris County Republican Party is in need of a drastic makeover prior to the 2022 Midterm Elections. Without a series of outreach efforts with the right individuals leading the charge, the GOP may lose any chance at ever winning a local countywide race during our lifetime. I know that this is a bold statement, but it's true. If something isn't done right here, right now, Democrats will hold power in Harris County, Texas for at least the next 30 years or more. And that's a fact."

EXPERIENCED REPORTER
I would have you to know that not everyone who has been accused of a crime or enters a guilty plea in connection with a crime is guilty of the crime they're accused of committing. Neither is everyone who goes to trial to fight charges that are leveled against them and get's convicted are guilty. Look, over the years, some very bad things have happened to people of color in our criminal justice system. So to this end, please understand, that during my career, I’ve gone into the Harris County Jail and Texas prisons on numerous occasions (on secret assignments) working in conjunction with the owner of one of the largest locally owned private security, and investigations firms. The man who was funding my investigations back then (who mysteriously died) also was the godfather of one of my sons, and the backer of one of my publications. That being said, I can straight-faced assure you that I’ve seen some of the injustices that are occurring in the Texas penal system up close and personal. While on the inside, I interviewed (face-to-face) some of the hardest criminals you can imagine for my research. I also discovered first-hand that many of the people who should be locked up are walking around free, and not all of those who are locked behind bars are guilty of the crimes that they, in some cases pleaded guilty to – for whatever reason. So, let me assure you that I know a criminal when I see one. And we have a handful of local elected officials who are straight-criminals and must be stopped!!!
PEOPLE OVER POLITICS
Based on my direct observations over the years, I can attest to the fact that our current criminal justice system is more about “HAVE’S AND HAVE NOT’S” to a greater degree than most people realize. That being said, sure, in some cases, the skin color of the person being accused of a crime plays a role in who gets indicted and eventually convicted of crimes and those who go free. However, at the end of the day, from observing the system from the inside, and out; having money, good legal representation, and access to influential people are unfortunately key determining factors when it comes to who will spend the rest of their life walking around with an “X” on their back and who doesn’t. So, to this end, we must endeavor to change our criminal justice system and political landscape by “TAKING POLITICS OUT” of the way our judges are selected in the Lone Star State – that’s very important to me!
