A Plot to Purge a Few Black Judges from the Bench in the 2022 Midterms Has Been in the Works for Several Years

“In my opinion, “GOOD DEMOCRATS” in Harris County, Texas had better develop a backbone and take control of their party away from the “BAD DEMOCRATS” on Sunday, June 27, 2021, or they’re going to have a very serious problem trying to win countywide races in the upcoming 2022 Midterm Election! Look, over the weekend, former Harris County Judge Ed Emmett, pictured on the left, shared a post about former Police Chief Art Acevedo’s appearance on national television over the weekend. “CBS' Face the Nation had a local flair this morning,” the post read. “Art Acevedo, now president of the Major Cities Chiefs Association, called out Commissioner Rodney Ellis by name on national television, as one of the causes of more violence and death in Harris County,” explained former Harris County Judge Ed Emmett. He went on to say, “Acevedo cited the number of violent criminals and murderers who are terrorizing neighborhoods because of Ellis.” Wow!!! Is former Police Chief Art Acevedo right? I guess only time will tell. But man, whether former Police Chief Art Acevedo is right or not, I think we can all agree that there’s a faction of the Harris County Democratic Party that’s up to something that smells really fishy right about now. And speaking of smelling fishy, don’t forget this old saying, “a fish rots from the head down.” Now, for those of you who don’t know what a fish rotting from the head down means; all I’m trying to say is that bad leadership is oftentimes the root cause of an organizations failure and demise. So, listen up!!! There’s a faction of very bad people operating from within the ranks of the Harris County Democratic Party. Now, some of these folks are walking around in expensive suits, and sitting in powerful elected positions, but they are wannabe gangster and mobsters. And this bad faction of the Harris County Democratic Party is comprised of mostly Black people who believe that their time has come, and that they are much smarter and wiser than everybody else out here! LORD, have mercy on me!!! I can’t believe that I’m saying this right now. LORD, help me!!! LORD, give me strength! Look, I’m over here with my head in the palm of my hands shaking it from side to side, right now. Why? Well, because my “GOOD DEMOCRATIC FRIENDS” appear to  just be sitting by and watching as the “BAD DEMOCRATS” run the Harris County Democratic Party into the ground. Man. I’m just bewildered and troubled by the fact that none of the “GOOD DEMOCRATS” have the backbone, courage or spine to stand strong against these “BAD DEMOCRATS” who are destroying the Harris County Democratic Party. Can you believe this??? First Audrie Lawton was placed on the pathway to becoming the first Black Harris County Democratic Party Chair several years ago by a few Democratic Party bosses and well connected Democratic insiders who are behind the curtains pulling the strings on a lot of the stuff we see unfolding right now. Then Audrie Lawton announces several weeks ago that she’s going to run for a judicial position on “SUPER TUESDAY,” against Judge George Barnstone, the presiding judge for Harris County Civil Court at Law #1, in the Tuesday, March 1, 2022, Democratic Party Primary. Then, Lillie Schechter, the current Harris County Democratic Party Chair announces that she’s stepping down effective Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Then after Lillie Schechter announces that she’s stepping down, Audrie Lawton goes on Facebook acting all surprised and whatnot talking about how she’s now being appointed to serve as the interim Harris County Democratic Party Chair until the new Harris County Democratic Party Chair is chosen in an election that’s going to take place via “ZOOM” on Sunday, June 27, 2021. So, why does this matter? What’s wrong with this? Well, what we have about to go down between now and Sunday, June 27, 2021, is the dirty underside of politics. What’s about to play out right now, is a situation where Democratic Precinct Chairs are about to choose the person who will serve as the next Harris County Democratic Party Chair. Now, rather than letting rank-and-file Democrats elect their next Democratic Party Chairperson, these “PARTY BOSSES” are about to take over the election and use the same process that’s going to undoubtedly involve a whole slew of backroom deals and other crap that brought Lillie Schechter to power as the Harris County Democratic Party Chair; State Senator Borris L. Miles to power as the state Senator for Senate District 13, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis to power as the Commissioner for Precinct #1 – following the untimely death of the late Commissioner El Franco Lee. But don’t take my word for it – just get you some popcorn and watch what’s about to play out at their Sunday, June 27, 2021, “ZOOM ELECTION” when the Harris County Democratic Party Precinct Chairs elect their new party chair. Click here if you would like to run for Harris County Democratic Party Chair.”

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT and a QUICK BREAK from your Memorial Day weekend (you may resume your regularly scheduled activity after reading this post)…

(PUBLISHED VIA FACEBOOK)

"I just finished a book on leadership and it said, in pertinent part that “The call to serve can come anytime and anywhere…are you ready to serve with all that you have from within?”

Little did I know that my call to serve would come 2 days later! By now many of you have heard the news that our current chair, Lillie Schechter has announced her intent to resign as the Harris County Democratic Chair. First and foremost, please join me in thanking Lillie and the rest of the Harris County Democratic Party staff for simply standing in the gap and being of service to all of the residents of Harris County, Texas and for continuously FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT!

Today, I proudly accept the call to serve as the Interim Chair of the Harris County Democratic Party! Although I do not intend to run for this position permanently, I am honored to serve in this capacity until a new chair has been selected.

So in this time of transition in Harris County, I encourage you to revisit our party’s platform and ideals. I also encourage you to be a part of the collective change and to be ready to serve. You see, the FIGHT ALWAYS CONTINUES…and for that reason, we will ALWAYS need WARRIORS in the front line.

Our party is so much more than one person or one title…OUR Party is a beautiful combination of DIVERSITY& INCLUSION, INTELLECT& SCIENCE, INNOVATION & PROGRESS, and HUMANITY & COMPASSION.

Today, I STAND READY TO BE OF SERVICE! I ask for your prayers and understanding, your patience and most importantly your help!

As interim chair, I am not able to endorse anybody for this position. However, it is my hope that we select a person who lives up to our party’s ideals and who has plan to expand on our party’s mission.

Harris County Democratic Party Chair Lillie Schechter Sent Out this Email Announcing Her Resignation Late Last Week

Aubrey,

When I first decided to run for Harris County Democratic Party Chair, one of my goals was to lead the party through one midterm and one presidential election and now here we are.

In 2018, we swept the county winning every down ballot race, flipped the 1st and 14th Court of Appeals, and elected Judge Lina Hidalgo and Commissioner Adrian Garcia and took control of the Harris County Commissioners Court!

In 2020, in the middle of an unprecedented pandemic, we strengthened our stronghold on Harris County by electing Democrats in every position on the ballot, and took back the White House.

We were able to win in 2018 and 2020 because of the hard work and collaboration of the amazing staff, precinct chairs, clubs, volunteers, activists, donors and elected officials that make up our great party infrastructure.

Serving as the leader of the party has not only been exciting, but also incredibly challenging. Over the last 4 years we’ve really revitalized the party, working to professionalize the organization, upgrading our brand with a new logo and website, moving the office to a storefront in the heart of Fifth Ward, transforming the work environment and staff structure to a year round operation with living wages and healthcare, and deliberately focusing on strengthening our relationships, engaging volunteers, and mobilizing voters in our core communities around the county.

Over the past 4 years, we raised almost $5 million to support the party staff and our Democratic elected officials and candidates. We hosted events headlined by DNC Chair Jaime Harrison, former Chair Tom Perez, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Secretary Hillary Clinton, and so many more leaders of the Democratic Party.

Here are just a few of our stats from the last 4 years:

Volunteers: 2,354 volunteers completing over 4,485 volunteer shifts

Digital Impressions: 6,416,880

Texts: 1,938,540

Phone Calls: 1,316,777

Mail: 1,153,248

Door Knocks: 208,574

Trainings: 100+

I will always be proud of the work we’ve accomplished at the Harris County Democratic Party. But it is time to let someone else lead us to our next victories!

So, I am writing to let you know that I will be resigning as chair on June 16th, 2021. My resignation before the expiration of my term means that the precinct chairs elect the next party chair to fulfill my term. That election will take place via Zoom on June 27, 2021, at 7pm. Click here to find out more about the election and how to apply if you want to become chair.

Regardless of my position or title, I will always wholeheartedly support the Harris County Democratic Party. I'm proud to be a Sustaining Member of HCDP at the Advocate level and will continue to contribute after my resignation. Join me and become a Sustaining Member today!

I look forward to helping onboard the next party chair and to doing everything I can to make sure the party continues to grow and be the best Democratic Party we can be in the Deep Blue Heart of Texas.

THANK YOU TEAM HCDP: Rufi Natarajan, Jael Casiano, Sam Zuniga, Delilah Agho-Otoghile, DJ Ybara, RJ Coronado, Palwasha Sharwani, Savannah Charles, Susan Woodyard, Stephen Abrams Harrison, Marc Malacoff, Elisa Rochford, Angelica Luna-Kaufman, Adrian Ozuna, Nisha Randle, Arielle Aranzamendez, Adoneca Fortier, Resha Thomas, Lenora Sorola-Pohlman, Audrie Lawton, Lynn Munford, Ken Olive, Rony Escobar, Mohammed Jamal, Odus Evbagharu, Francisco Castillo, Giordaun Baity, Devoun Rushing, Silvia Gederberg, Gerry Birnberg, Jennifer Halvorson.

Lillie Schechter
Harris County Democratic Party Chair

"The level of corruption we're seeing right now in Harris County, Texas is so rampant that it's made it's way into God's house too. I don't know what to say some days. Hell, what I feel like doing on some days is to just throw my hands up in the air and quit. But on those days, I remind myself of Proverbs 29:2, that talks about how when the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. And I totally believe this to be true. So, in the upcoming 2022 Midterm Elections, we must make it our business to elevate people of God who are committed to America's betterment and love our Constitution into positions of authority.

The “Sisterhood Series” Features 70 Powerful Texas Women You Should Know Who Are Doing Their Own Thing

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

I would like to take this moment to introduce our “SISTERHOOD SERIES” to you. This empowerment movement is being launched to highlight a few powerful Texas women who are doing their own thing in legal, political, and public relations fields throughout the Lone Star State. Now, while this powerful group of women is being brought to you as a corporate body, our “SISTERHOOD SERIES” should not be misconstrued as identity/gender politics in any way, shape, or form. Why? Well, all of the featured women in this series are (in their own unique way) some of the best and brightest women in America. So, recognizing these women as part of our SISTERHOOD SERIES” is our way of applauding each of them for their courage, tenacity, and ability to compete in what has traditionally been a man’s world.

TRUTH OF THE MATTER

If we’re honest with ourselves, we all know that women are still fighting an uphill battle in politics as well as inside boardrooms across America. So, let's not forget – it wasn’t long ago that women were guaranteed the right to vote. In case you don’t know, the 19th Amendment granting women the right to vote was only the beginning of a much longer fight that women are continuing to fight on the campaign trail, in board rooms, and while living their everyday lives.

A VERY UNIQUE BOND

Each segment of our “SISTERHOOD SERIES” will highlight a “FEATURED SPONSOR” on the cover, and sixty-nine sitting incumbent Democratic and Republican members of the judiciary inside. So, as a community of women, each of the sixty-nine women featured as the “BODY OF THE SERIES” are linked together by their common successes in the rough and tumble world of Texas politics. Now, you can bet your bottom dollar, that some of these women will be endorsed by Houston Business Connections Newspaper©, in 2022 and 2024 “ELECTION GUIDES” when they appear on the ballot. However, unfortunately, some of these women will not make the cut. So, please do not forget that the deadline to run for political office in the “2022 MIDTERM ELECTIONS” is on Monday, December 13, 2021, in Texas. And, if you are a woman or man who is planning to run for office in 2022, you must sign up by Monday, December 13, 2021, at 6:00 pm. So, if you are not sure, what position you should run for in the Democratic Party Primary or Republican Party Primary, please call (281)788-3033, and I will try to assist you in any way I can.

MINISTERS OF JUSTICE

Every judge in America takes an oath of office and solemnly swears that they will administer justice without respect to persons and that they will do equal right to the poor and to the rich alike. So, the “MINISTERS OF JUSTICE” you see listed below, have all promised to faithfully and impartially discharge and perform all the duties incumbent upon them under the United States Constitution and the laws that govern us as a free nation when they were elected. And each of them did so before the LORD God Almighty. Now, that being said, nowhere in their promise was their political party affiliation, sorority, socio-economic status, or ethnicity mentioned. So, let’s do our best going forward, to elect the “BEST AND BRIGHTEST” women and men who are committed to handing out even-handed justice to every person who enters their courtroom.

Nominating the Wrong Candidates on "SUPER TUESDAY" Could Have Disastrous Consequences in the November 2022 General Election in Harris County

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Make no mistake about it, who the people of Harris County, Texas choose to give another term to in 2022 must be about substance, job performance, judicial temperament, competence, and whether or not our members of the judiciary are following the law with their rulings. And that being said, in 2022, it is incumbent upon the voters of Harris County to evaluate the job performance of each and every sitting "ELECTED OFFICIAL" on a case-by-case basis and not as a group based on their political party affiliation, ethnicity, or gender.

THINKING ABOUT RUNNING?

If you are a candidate planning to run for office in 2022, you have to select the right candidate to run against. And the second most important thing to understand is that you have to select your race early, to avoid ending up in a crowded field of candidates on "SUPER TUESDAY" in Harris County, Texas. So, if you need assistance trying to determine which race to enter, please call (281)788-3033, and I will do my very best to answer any questions you may have.
