Was Attorney Brittanye Morris Thrown Under the Proverbial Bus by Harris County Democratic Party Chair Lillie Schechter in her Letter?

Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg is Now Being Asked to Investigate the HD-142 Democratic Primary Race By Many Black Leaders and Organizations

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Gerry Wayne Monroe, "THE 5 STAR GENERAL," says he's not finished with Lillie Schechter, Chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party. He's pictured above shaking hands with Kim Ogg, the Harris County District Attorney. "THE 5 STAR GENERAL" isn't the only one upset with the recent happenings at the Harris County Democratic Party. Now, the Houston NAACP, Texas Coalition of Black Democrats, and a number of other "BLACK LEADERS" have come together to demand that Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg and Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan thoroughly investigate any wrongdoing related to how a "PHANTOM CANDIDATE" made her way on to the ballot back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the race for State Representative for House District 142, between the mystery candidate, State Rep. Harold Dutton, Jr., Richard Bonton, and  Jerry Davis. The mystery candidate goes by the name of Natasha Demming Ruiz, but her name is really Natasha Demming from what I've been told. Lillie Schechter (above top left) did the right thing by reversing her decision to declare Attorney Brittanye Morris ineligible. But Gerry Monroe, and his co-hosts of "THE WAR ZONE" believe Schechter should now be removed from her post. "THE 5 STAR GENERAL" as he likes to call himself has also stated publicly that he believes that Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and a host of other "BLACK ELECTED OFFICIALS" gave Lillie Schechter the green light to go after Attorney Brittanye Morris in the way that she did.

Lillie Schechter, Chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party Reverses Her Decision to Declare Attorney Brittanye Morris Ineligible; But throws Morris Under the Bus in the Process

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Make no mistake about it, Attorney Brittanye Morris will take the bench in January of 2021, as Judge of the 333rd Civil District Court in Harris County, Texas. Wow! Lillie Schechter, Chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, has been forced to release a declaration stating that Attorney Brittanye Morris is indeed “ELIGIBLE” to serve as Judge of the 333rd Civil District Court – which is a reversal of her decision to deem Attorney Morris ineligible. Now, I’m not going to delve too far into the letter, but I do have a question. Why in the hell would the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party throw a “DULY-ELECTED” Democratic judicial nominee with no Republican opponent in the fall (Tuesday, November 3, 2020) general election under the bus? I cannot imagine any scenario where a Republican Party Chairman in any state, anywhere in America would do this to one of their “DULY-ELECTED” nominees – Black, White, Blue, Yellow, Purple, or Green. Heck, not even Paul Simpson, who was recently booted from office would do such a thing! THIS IS PURE MADNESS!!! Why do we as Black people continue to waltz into voting booths and blindly support every Democrat on the ballot over and over again? Can you believe she did that? Now that’s gangsta! Man, does the slogan “VOTE BLUE – NO MATTER WHO” mean anything? Sorry about that – I’m back! Oh, yes, I was talking about Paul Simpson. In case you haven’t heard, the Harris County Republican Party primary voters recently elected a new chairman back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Paul Simpson lost his chairmanship to Keith Nielson and will turn over the reins in June or July I believe. As a refresher, Keith Nielsen received 81,249 votes, for 51.28% of the vote. Paul Simpson, in his losing effort, was only able to muster 77,194 votes, for 48.72% of the vote. Now, back to Lillie Schechter! HOW SHE’S TREATING BLACKS is unacceptable behavior in my opinion – she must do better. You can’t be eating your own Lillie Schechter! For the life of me, I cannot understand why you would do this…but I digress. Anyways, rather than putting out the fire, all Lillie Schechter has done is stoked the flames. In essence, she’s thrown gasoline on the fire instead of water. Sure, she cut Attorney Brittanye Morris down from the tree; but did Lillie Schechter hand her rope over to the Republicans, in hopes that they’ll finish the job that she could not accomplish later on down the road – perhaps in January of 2021? Yes? No? Maybe?

WHAT WAS SCHECHTER THINKING?

In all seriousness, the question now becomes, whether or not, Attorney Brittanye Morris won a battle, to potentially end up losing the war? Is Lillie Schechter hoping that when Attorney Brittanye Morris takes the bench as one of the youngest “DULY-ELECTED” judges in American history – she will be contacted by the Texas Attorney General? Will Republican leadership go after Attorney Brittanye Morris once she takes the bench in January of 2021? Has Lillie Schechter thrown Attorney Brittanye Morris to the wolves? I mean, is she hoping to save face by having Attorney Brittanye Morris indicted and sent to jail or something? I don’t know, but that letter put forth by Lillie Schechter does not pass the smell testthere’s something foul about that letter if you ask me. And it isn’t sitting well with several local leaders. In case you haven’t heard, Lillie Schechter issuing that letter declaring Attorney Brittanye Morris eligible on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, was widely praised by some Democrats – and rightfully so, but a few others are still not pleased. In a phone conversation with Gerry Wayne Monroe, also known as the “5 Star General” he’s not pleased with the way Lillie Schechter fell on the sword in the matter pertaining to Attorney Brittanye Morris – neither is he impressed. “Declaring Brittanye Morris eligible is only a start,” said Monroe on the set of “THE WAR ZONE,” – a show he co-hosts along with Dr. Candice Matthews, and Elvonte A. Patton, every evening at 7:00 PM, in the form of a Facebook chat-like forum. “Lillie Schecther must go,” said the outspoken Monroe. “She’s going to go, or I’m going to expose her,” he proclaimed. “I’m going to tell everybody who giving her the di@k,” he said. What is he talking about? Well, according to Monroe he claims to hold damaging information on Harris County Democratic Party Chairman Lillie Schechter. It has long been rumored that there’s allegedly some sort of video floating around which features Lillie Schechter in some sort of compromising position. However, I’ve not seen the video. Nor do I believe, this rumor has been independently verified by anyone – at least, not that I’m aware of. So, if the “5 Star General” and his cohorts have a copy, I believe that they should produce it – or shut up! However, it does seem like Dr. Candice Matthews is co-signing off on the fact that “THE WAR ZONE” has the “TEA” with “RECEIPTS” on Lillie Schechter. “She’s a porno star,” claimed the “5 Star General” in a follow-up phone call I placed to him on this matter. “I gave them an ultimatum,” he said. “I gave them 48-hours,” he went on to say. “I told them they had to $#IT or get off the pot, and Lillie Schechter caved in and declared Attorney Brittanye Morris eligible within approximately 18-hours from the time I gave them the ultimatum,” said the “5 Star General” before declaring once more that he has the goods on Lillie Schechter.

The War Zone airs every night of the week at 7:00pm on Facebook. The show is hosted by Gerry Wayne Monro "THE 5 STAR GENERAL," the lovely Dr. Candice Ward Matthews, and "THE YOUNGSTER," Elvonte A. Patton. However, before logging on to The War Zone, please make sure that you do not have any children in the room.

KEEP WORKING THAT ‘THANG’

If Gerry Wayne Monroe and his fellow “WAR ZONE” co-hosts get their way, Lillie Schechter will be removed from her position as chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party. Now, whether or not his wish will be granted remains to be seen. But if you know anything about Gerry Wayne Monroe, the “5 Star General” you know that he usually, more often than not, delivers the goods and accomplishes the goal he’s after. Do you remember him walking into that HISD Board meeting and throwing dollar bills at the trustees? His theatrics are laughable sometimesbut I must say, he gets his way a lot of times. I guess, at the end of the day, if it works – KEEP WORKING IT!

Lillie Schechter does not draw a salary as Chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party. However, she owns a consulting company and is widely regarded as one of the best political consultants in the area. She is a political strategist and fundraiser who has been advising local and national Democratic candidates and organizations for nearly a decade.

WILL MONROE GET HIS WISH?

Lillie Schechter, Chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party Chairman did not draw an opponent back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. So, since nobody stepped up to run against Schechter, back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, Democrats are pretty much stuck with her until the 2022 midterms – unless she steps down or something. However, recent blunders, coupled with what was shaping up to be a modern-day lynching of a “BLACK DEMOCRATIC JUDICIAL NOMINEE” by the name of Attorney Brittanye Morris has caused, Monroe, his “WAR ROOM” co-hosts and a few other folks to label the Harris County Democratic Party as a bunch of “CLOSET-RACIST” who have no heart for Black people. Man, I don’t know about their strategy – it’s just a little bit too divisive for me. So, let’s be clear here, I do not hold that opinion. Again, I am repeating, I DO NOT HOLD THAT OPINION. All I am here to do is call balls and strikes and “SHED MUCH NEEDED LIGHT” on political issues – and inform my readers. So, to this end, I think Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said this, much better than I ever could, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” And he’s right! But, can’t we all just get along? Isn’t it time for love to flow? Another great quote by Dr. Martin Luther King I love is this, “Science investigates; religion interprets. Science gives man knowledge, which is power; religion gives man wisdom, which is control. Science deals mainly with facts; religion deals mainly with values. The two are not rivals.” This is so true! Look, guys, we’re living in a very crucial moment in American history. We have to search for peace and love, in my opinion. Battlelines are being drawn in the sand. But not everyone who searches for answers is a troublemaker. As for me, I’m simply searching for answers and doing my best to shed light on situations. Look, a whole lot of folk walk around quoting Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during January, but you have to remember, the majority of Americans considered Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. a troublemaker and a “REBEL ROUSER” while he was alive – and I completely understand why! He was a threat to the power structure! He walked around saying things like, “An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.” And things like, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Do you see where I’m coming from?

Lillie uses her passion, dedication, and deep knowledge of the county’s political landscape to benefit Democratic candidates up and down the ballot.

HAVE CONFIDENCE IN SCHECHTER?

Some Democrats love Lillie Schechter, and some Democrats don’t – THAT’S JUST THE HARD, COLD, TRUTH OF THE MATTER! What’s my position? Well, if Lillie Schechter does not get her act together, I believe that a “NO CONFIDENCE” vote should be instituted to remove her from her perch. How could this be done? Well, it would have to be a collective effort. And nope, it’s not something “BLACK DEMOCRATS” would be able to get done alone. The process of removing Lillie Schechter would be nasty, divisive, unpopular, and cause a civil war within the Harris County Democratic Party ranks. In other words, it would turn back the hands of time and take the Harris County Democratic Party back into a place in our not-so-distant-past, unfortunately. That’s why it's imperative that Lillie Schechter fully understands the seriousness of the matter she’s facing. Look, guys, the “ HARRIS COUNTY EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE” are the ones who could go get a “NO CONFIDENCE” vote against Lillie Schechter and proceed to have her removed as Chairman of the Haris County Democratic Party from what I understand. But like I said, this would not be an easy task. Why? Well, if you hold your horses, I’m going to tell you. The hardest part would be to get a majority of the Democratic Precinct Chairs on board to support the removal of Schechter. Remember, as I’ve said before, Lillie Schechter rose to power on the strength of being able to get the Democratic Precinct Chairs on her side – she knows how to play this game! So to this end, the process of trying to remove Lillie Schechter could be painstakingly difficult and prove fruitless in the end – kinda like what recently happened when Democrats tried to have President Donald J. Trump removed from office by way of impeachment proceedings. After all, from what I understand, the process has never been done whereas the removal of a Harris County Democratic Party Chairman is concerned – but “NEVER SAY NEVER” my friend. Why? Well, no African American had ever been elected President of the United States – until Barack Obama came along and did it back in 2008.

Racism Has No Place in the Harris County Democrat Party; Democrats Had Better Have a Come to Jesus Meeting Before November 2020

AUBREY R. TAYOR REPORTS©

Are you aware of the fact that the first Republican statewide primary in Texas was held back in 1926, but drew it only drew approximately 15,239 voters? By comparison, the Democratic primary during the same year drew approximately 821,234 voters? Well, according to historians, the voter disfranchisement was well established in Texas back then – and it wasn’t being instituted by the Republican either – the Democrats were behind it. How do I know? Well, back then, Texas was essentially a one-party, white-only voting state from what I understand. Fast forward to the present, it has been rumored for years and years and years that there has been a racist undercurrent flowing through the Harris County Democratic Party. And it’s a shame! Nope, let me correct that, it’s a DAMN SHAME! But hey, I guess ‘IT IS WHAT IT IS’ at the end of the day. But don’t take my word for it. Just look at the history of the party. Do you realize that no African American has ever been elected chair of the Harris County Democratic Party? I mean come on guys, that in and of itself should be a red flag. And this isn’t a racist comment – but rather the statement of a fact. So, before you try and call me a racist, I would have you know that “BLACK FOLK” can’t be racist in my opinion. We have never, and perhaps will never, be a dominant race in these United States of America. Why does this matter? Well, in case you don’t know, the term itself is rooted and fed by a superiority complex – and in my opinion, it must be rooted outwherever it exists. Look, prejudice, discrimination and the antagonism we’re beginning to see rear it’s ugly head in Harris County, Texas must be uprooted! Turning a blind eye to it won’t suffice this time around – it must be faced, discussed and attacked head-on. And as African Americans, we appear to be under attack right now, and it’s a multi-pronged attack if you ask me. In case you’re unaware, the coronavirus is wreaking havoc on our communities from one side. And on the other side, it seems like we’re quickly becoming a people whom neither of the two major political parties respects. Discrimination, racial profiling, and injustices continue to be the order of the day whereas we are concerned. Racism must end – and RIGHT NOW!!! Do you know what racism even means? Look, at the end of the day, being a racist means that you think that you are superior to other races. And that’s a dangerous mindset to have in this day and age. As Americans, we are all human beings. We are equals. We’re a melting pot of different cultures, ethnicities, personalities, and persuasions! Our diversity is our strength – it’s what makes us unique. Our diverse ideas and life experiences are what makes us great as a nation. We’re one nation under God with liberty and justice for all -- right? If so, let’s act like it!!!

SHOULD LILLIE BE REMOVED?

What people have to remember about Lillie Schechter, the current Harris County Democratic Party Chairman is that she was not “DULY-ELECTED” by Democratic voters per se. She was selected through what has oftentimes been referred to as a series of “SOPHISTICATED MANEUVERS” and backroom deals played out amongst Democratic Precinct Chairs. You know the kind I’m talking about – come on…you know! Anyways, I am not going to delve too deeply into this right now, but several of our current “BLACK ELECTED OFFICIALS” were also selected, anointed and appointed through backroom deals – and not “DULY-ELECTED” by Harris County Democratic Party voters…but I digress. Look, in case you don’t know, several African Americans have tried to become chair of the Harris County Democratic Party over the years – only to be turned away and rejected! But today is a new day! The time has come for us as people to awaken from our slumbering sleep, and get busy. The time has come for us to stop letting people come into our communities to hoodwink and bamboozle us into blindly casting our votes for them. And to this end, at the end of the day, always remember that power only concedes to a force with greater power. And the hard, cold truth to the matter is this, people only respect folks who demand respect and know what they are worth. I submit to you today, that your vote is worth more than you think it is. Too many folks have gotten rich off pimping us out for their only selfish gain. Are you tired? Are you fed up? Do you believe that we’ve had enough taxation without representation? The time has come for us to come together and boldly demand some damn respect around here.

In case you don't know, Roel Garcia received 16,933 votes back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Primary, according to the "Unofficial" election returns published by the Harris County Clerk.

Lieutenant Jerry Garcia is heading into the Tuesday, July 14, 2020, runoff election in the race for Harris County Constable Precinct 2 as the "FRONT-RUNNER" against Constable Chris Diaz. In case you don't know, Lieutenant Jerry Garcia received 5,766 votes back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Primary, according to the "Unofficial" election returns published by the Harris County Clerk.

Constable Chris Diaz is heading into the Tuesday, July 14, 2020, runoff election in the race for Harris County Constable Precinct 2 as the "RUNNER-UP" against Lieutenant Jerry Garcia. In case you don't know, Constable Chris Diaz received 5,122 votes back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Primary, according to the "Unofficial" election returns published by the Harris County Clerk.

Constable Sherman Eagleton is heading into the Tuesday, July 14, 2020, runoff election in the race for Harris County Constable Precinct 3 as the "FRONT-RUNNER" against former Harris County Precinct 3 Commissioner Ken Jones. In case you don't know, Constable Sherman Eagleton received 10,008 votes back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Primary, according to the "Unofficial" election returns published by the Harris County Clerk.

Former Constable Ken Jones is heading into the Tuesday, July 14, 2020, runoff election in the race for Harris County Constable Precinct 3 as the "RUNNER-UP" against Constable Sherman Eagleton. In case you don't know, Ken Jones received 3,391 votes back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Primary, according to the "Unofficial" election returns published by the Harris County Clerk. However, in a recent turn of events, Eric Reed, Deborah Florus, and Michel (Poppy) Pappillion have all decided to throw their support behind Ken Jones. This could make the runoff showdown between Constable Sherman Eagleton and former Precinct 3 Constable Ken Jones one of the most intriguing races on the entire May 26th Democratic runoff ballot. Why? Well, at first glance it would appear that Constable Sherman Eagleton is the clear, and decisive "FRONT-RUNNER" heading into the runoff showdown. However, when you take into account that Eric Reed received 1,810 votes for 8.58% of the vote; Deborah Florus received 3,279 votes for 15.54% of the vote; Michael (Poppy) Pappillion received 913 votes for 4.33% of the vote, and Ken Jones himself received 3,391 votes for 16.07% of the vote, it isn't difficult to see that the "RUNOFF SHOWDOWN" between Constable Eagleton and Ken Jones won't be as lopsided as their Democratic Primary was back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Another key factor to pay close attention to is the fact that only 23,896 votes were cast back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the race for Harris County Constable for Precinct 3. Why is this significant? Well, according to the Harris County Clerk's Office, there are 197,063 registered voters in Precinct 3 who could potentially turn out on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. So both Constable Sherman Eagleton (the current Constable for Precinct 3) and Ken Jones (the former Constable for Precinct 3) will both have their work cut out for them between now and the start of the "EARLY VOTING PERIOD" which begins on Monday, July 6, 2020, and ends on Friday, July 10, 2020, in Harris County, Texas.

Randal Newman is heading into the Tuesday, July 14, 2020, runoff election in the race for Harris County Constable Precinct 5 as the "FRONT-RUNNER" against Mark Alan Harrison. In case you don't know, Randal Newman received 23,525 votes back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Primary, according to the "Unofficial" election returns published by the Harris County Clerk.
