The deadline to request a "MAIL BALLOT" from the Harris County Clerk's office ended on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, for the City of Houston runoff election. With Tony Buzbee and Mayor Sylvester Turner in a dog fight for every vote through the first three days of early voting, these mail ballots could be the deciding factor. So, it only makes sense for both Tony Buzbee and Mayor Sylvester Turner to have their folks closely monitoring the flow of the mail ballots and their authenticity (on the back end) if this runoff election is decided by a handful of votes like the one back in 2015 between Turner and Bill King. Why? Well, according to many experts, mail ballots are the easiest way close elections are stolen. Just saying...not casting a shadow or cloud over anyone at this point. Anyways, by the numbers, back in the Tuesday, November 5, 2019, general election, the Harris County Clerk mailed out 20,138 mail ballots. Of the 20,138 mail ballots sent out by the Harris County Clerk 15,304 were filled out and mailed back. In case you don't remember, back on Monday, October 21, 2019, a total of 5,407 mail ballots were received back by the Harris County Clerk. On Tuesday, October 22, 2019, a total of 301 mail ballots were received by the Harris County Clerk. And on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, a total of 342 mail ballots were received back by the Harris County Clerk for a total of 6,050 mail ballots received back in the general election over the course of the first three days of early voting. Comparatively speaking, the mail ballots for these runoffs are coming back in a totally different fashion than what we saw take place back in the general election, but yielding an almost identical three-day return total. Get this, on the first day of early voting for these runoffs, only 159 mail ballots were received back at the Harris County Clerk's office of the 28,586 mail ballots sent out by mail to absentee voters. On the second day of early voting for these runoffs, 2,110 mail ballots were received back by the Harris County Clerk. And on the third day of early voting for these runoffs, 3,755 mail ballots were received back by the Harris County Clerk for a three day total of 6,024 mail ballots received for these runoffs thus far.

Mail Ballots are a Crucial Part of Any Campaign, But They are the Easiest Way to Steal a Close Election As Well

As mail ballots continue to flow back to the Harris County Clerk's Office I would encourage both, Mayor Sylvester Turner, and Tony Buzbee to keep a watchful eye on the flow of the mail ballots being returned to the Harris County Clerk. I would also like to remind all of our seniors out there to be on the lookout for folks (especially one woman in particular) coming around asking you to sign your "ABSENTEE BALLOT" or "MAIL BALLOT" and let her take it and fill it out and mail it back to the Harris County Clerk's Office for you. This is illegal. And this is a really big problem -- especially in close elections. In case you think voter-fraud is a figment of my imagination, you had better think again. As I talk about this, I am reminded of a Washington Post and News21 article I read years ago where they talked about how prevalent voter fraud cases were in states like Arizona, Ohio, Georgia, Kansas, and yes, you guessed it, right here in Texas as well. Look, let me be clear here, the potential for voter fraud to occur is a “BIG PROBLEM” in elections all across the country and must be seriously addressed at some point in the very near future. The perpetrators who are carrying out these crimes are becoming more brazen and emboldened because they are continuing to get away with it over and over again. Election Law expert Rick Hasen believes that voter fraud occurs the most through “ABSENTEE BALLOTS” and I concur. According to Hasen, the vast majority of voter fraud prosecutions touted by conservative groups like the Heritage Foundation involve “ABSENTEE BALLOTS” that are typically illegally cast. Believe it, or not, the fraud schemes involving “ABSENTEE BALLOTS” swing elections and are largely responsible for keeping the perpetrators in power/office. How? You have to keep in mind that it is much easier for these perpetrators to forge signatures, impersonate an elderly voter, or buy a vote in a nursing home, or in the privacy of an elderly person's home than it is to do it at a polling location. So, election cycle after election cycle we witness skewed results that sometimes make no sense at all.
ELECTION FRAUD WHEREAS THE ABSENTEE BALLOTS ARE CONCERNED IS A BIG PROBLEM
According to a report that appeared in the Washington Post, North Carolina’s State Board of Elections voted earlier this year to throw out the results of an election held back in November of 2018 in the state’s 9th Congressional District after the candidate who led in the vote, Mark Harris, suddenly agreed that a new election was warranted. Mark Harris had fought back against agreeing to a new election at first, claiming that the fraud allegedly carried out on his behalf through the "MANIPULATION OF ABSENTEE BALLOTS" would not have been enough to affect the eventual outcome of the contest (which may or may not be true). However, after his son testified in a court proceeding that he’d warned his father about the election worker who was accused of committing the voter fraud — and after Mark Harris, himself, admitted that he had failed to turn over important emails from his son to investigators he eventually agreed to a new election. However, in the new election, this past September, Mark Harris was not on the ballot and the race for the 9th Congressional District in Carolina was narrowly won by Dan Bishop (Republican) with 96,081 votes or 50.07% of the vote, over his Democratic rival Dan McCready who received 92,144 votes for 48.6% of the vote.

The runoff race for mayor of Houston, Texas between Tony Buzbee and Mayor Sylvester Turner is living up to the hype based on the in-person vote totals through the first three days for these runoffs. But neither Buzbee or Turner can be projected as the front-runner at this time.
HISTORIC ELECTION ON THE HORIZON
As I've stated all along, I believe that Tony Buzbee and Mayor Sylvester Turner are about to produce a record-setting runoff election turnout -- but the "MAIL BALLOTS" must be watched a little more closely in tight elections like the one I am expecting to see between Turner and Buzbee in these runoffs. So, Houstonians should not take anything for granted during this early voting cycle. Why? I'm glad you asked. Judging from what we saw happen back on the day before Thanksgiving, the 9,490 in-person early votes shows that Houstonians are a little more excited about these runoffs than they were on the first day of early voting for the general election. In case you don't remember, only 7,973 in-person votes were cast back on Monday, October 21, 2019, in the general election. Comparatively speaking, 1,517 more in-person votes were cast on the first day of early voting for this runoff showdown between Tony Buzbee and Mayor Sylvester Turner when compared to the first day of early voting for the general election. On the second day of early voting back on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, in the general election, 9,314, in-person early votes were cast. However, on the second day of early voting for this runoff election 10,392, in-person early votes were cast, for an increase of 1,258 in-person votes. When you compare the third day of early voting for these runoffs, to the third day of early voting for the general election, it becomes clear that these runoffs could be on the verge of producing a larger overall voter turnout than what we saw for the general election held back on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. On the third day of early voting for the general election which took place back on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, a total of 8,919 in-person voters showed up at the polls. Comparatively speaking, on the third day of early voting for these runoffs, a total of 9,297 in-person votes were cast, for an increase of 378 in-person votes. So, please remind all of your family and friends in the Houston area to cast their vote early!

MEAN GENE: “Tony and I have been friends since 2007. It began with him sponsoring me in my boxing career and a solid friendship grew from there, now we are like family.”
