Potential Multi-Million Dollar Shortfall by the Harris County Election Administrator's Office Could Impact the November 2nd HISD Election

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "Did you know that the Harris County Elections Administrator, Isabel Longoria (far right) could already be “over budget” by MILLIONS of dollars for this fiscal year? Man...what's really going on in Harris County, Texas? Please. Please. Please cast your vote for Caroline Walter, Gerry Wayne Monroe, and Bridget Wade in the upcoming HISD School Board Election. And I've got some very good news!!! According to the Monday, October 4, 2021, campaign finance report posted by Bridget Wade, she ain't playing no games on the fundraising front! WAY TO GO BRIDGET!!!  How much money did Bridget raise? Well, our girl Bridget Wade has $142,906.84 dollars cash on hand right now as the start of early voting approaches on Monday, October 18, 2021. Now, speaking of the start of early voting, I've got a few questions for the Harris County Election Administrator Isabel Longoria about how she's going to handle the upcoming Tuesday, November 2, 2021, HCC and HISD School Board Elections. That being said, it would not be a bad idea to call the "ELECTION ADMINISTRATOR'S OFFICE" at (713) 755-6965 and ask her the (6) six questions I've listed below."

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "For those of you who don't know, this Isabel Longoria lady was ‘hand-picked’ and placed into the position of Harris County Elections Administrator by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, County Judge Lina Hidalgo, and Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia. So, just for the record, the vote was 3 to 2, when she was appointed. Now, every "TAX PAYER" in Harris County, Texas deserves to know the answers to the questions I've listed below. That being said, it would not be a bad idea to call the "ELECTION ADMINISTRATORS OFFICE" at (713) 755-6965 and ask her the (6) six questions I've listed below."

INQUIRING VOTERS WANT TO KNOW…..

1. Is Isabel Longoria, the Harris County Elections Administrator “over budget” by MILLIONS of dollars for this fiscal year?

2. Is the multi-million dollar shortfall that Isabel Longoria, and the Harris County Election Administrator's Office facing right now due to the fact that the City of Houston and the Metro Transit Authority have still not paid their bills totaling nearly $2 Million for the last elections run on their behalf by Harris County?

3. Is part of the multi-million dollar shortfall that Isabel Longoria, and the Harris County Election Administrator's Office facing right now due to the mass mailing of hundreds of thousands of unsolicited mail ballot applications in August of 2021?

4. Is part of the multi-million dollar shortfall that Isabel Longoria, and the Harris County Election Administrator's Office facing right now due to payments made to hundreds of non-essential election workers; e.g., Deputy Clerk Specialists and Student “Wait-Time” Clerks?

5. How will Harris County voters be affected by the multi-million dollar shortfall in the upcoming Tuesday, November 2, 2021, HISD School Board Election and HCC School Board election? Will Isabel Longoria, the Harris County Election Administrator...

a. Reduce the number of polling places from the list she already submitted to Commissioners Court?

b. Reduce the number of election workers at each location, creating longer lines for voters?

c. Eliminate the expensive “drive-through voting” and “24-hour voting” locations?

d. Refuse overtime pay for election workers who are at the polls early and stay late?

AND FINALLY….

6. How does an unelected county official get away with being millions of dollars over budget HALFWAY through the county fiscal year?

Make no mistake about it, who the people of Harris County, Texas choose to give another term to in 2022 must be about substance, job performance, judicial temperament, competence, and whether or not our members of the judiciary are following the law with their rulings. And that being said, in 2022, it is incumbent upon the voters of Harris County to evaluate the job performance of each and every sitting "ELECTED OFFICIAL" on a case-by-case basis and not as a group based on their political party affiliation, ethnicity, or gender.
