A lot of folks are predicting that we’re about to see a “DEMOCRATIC WAVE” in Harris County, Texas on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. However, I’m just not sure that’s about to be the case. Sure, there have been a record-breaking number of ballots cast, but just because 1,267,811 votes have been cast, nobody knows with exact certainty what’s about to happen here in Harris County, Texas. But as soon as the results begin to roll in, I guarantee you no matter how the election turns out, I’m going to hear a whole bunch of I-told-you- so’s. But look, guys, without straight-ticket voting being an option this time around, we should all just work as hard as we can and then wait for the results to start rolling in on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. And if you are not sure who to vote for, please consider casting your ballot for our “NON-PARTISAN SLATE” of duly-qualified candidates on Election Day! REMEMBER 2016? Well, back in the 2016 Presidential Election, Hillary Clinton won Harris County, Texas, but did not win the Presidency. However, she did help local Democrats run-the-table averaging vote totals 600,000 vote range in the down-ballot countywide races. REMEMBER 2012? Well, back in the 2012 Presidential Election, President Barack Obama barely won Harris County, Texas by 971 votes. However, down-ballot Democrats did not run-the-table, as some Democrats and some Republicans won the down-ballot races averaging in the 560,000 vote range. REMEMBER 2008? Well, back in the 2008 Presidential Election, President Obama won Harris County, Texas convincingly. However, in the down-ballot races, some Democrats and some Republicans won averaging in the 560,000 vote range. REMEMBER 2004? Well, back in the 2004 Presidential Election, George W. Bush won Harris County, Texas. And in the down-ballot races, Republicans ran the table, averaging in the 530,000 vote range in the down-ballot contested races. REMEMBER 2000? Well, back in the 2000 Presidential Election, George Bust on Harris County, Texas convincing. And so did his fellow down-ballot Republicans allies who were running countywide. In case you don't remember, the down-ballot Republicans averaged in the 460,000 vote range back in the 2000 Presidential Election, as far as Harris County, Texas was concerned. FAST FORWARD TO 2020!!! Believe it or not, I believe that some of these down-ballot countywide contests could see candidates net in anywhere from 750,000 to 800,000 votes on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, in Harris County, Texas.

On Tuesday, November 3, 2020, Fort Bend ISD Trustee Kristin Tassin is being challenged by Dr. Shirley Rose-Guilliam in the FBISD Position #4 race. As a reminder, these two candidates faced off against each other back in 2017 in a close race -- but there was a third candidate, by the name of Rodrigo Carreon in that race. In case you don't remember, Dr. Shirley Rose-Gilliam gave Tassin all she could handle and would have forced her into a runoff -- if FBISD had runoff elections. Anyways, as a refresher, back in 2017, Kristin Tassin received 2,654 votes, for 49.35% of the vote. Dr. Shirley Rose-Gilliam received 2,227 votes, for 41.41% of the vote. And Rodrigo Carreon received 497 votes for 9.24% of the vote. So, please don't forget that Dr. Shirley Rose-Gilliam is asking for your vote in this race.
