Freedom Begins in the Mind; The Game of Politics Must Be Played Differently in Harris County, Texas Going Forward

Freedom means different things to different people. However, we can all agree that "TRUE FREEDOM" comes at a price. My forefathers broke their backs picking cotton, and many lost their lives in their quest to make sure that future generations would not have to live their lives in bondage. But I am deeply troubled by the state of "BLACK AMERICA" and the way we're playing the political game today. To be brutally honest "BLACK AMERICA" is headed on a path that isn't going to end well for us as a people. That being said, an "EMANCIPATION OF OUR MINDS" must occur for us to remain relevant as God's plan for America continues to unfold during these turbulent political times. You can "CLICK HERE" to learn more, and discover the true meaning of freedom.

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "For America to remain the dominant "SUPER POWER' in the world, every warm-blooded American had better start 'PUTTING PEOPLE OVER POLITICS' at the ballot box by elevating duly-qualified God-fearing leaders into positions of authority."

Freedom in America is something that must be continuously protected and defended by every warm-bodied American. We're headed down a road right now, that's not going to end well for us as a nation.

The late great Congresswoman Barbara Jordan once said, “But this is the great danger America faces. That we will cease to be one nation and become instead a collection of interest groups: city against suburb, region against region, individual against individual. Each seeking to satisfy private wants.”

If you step back and take a look at what's happening in America right now, you will see, the words of the late Congresswoman are ringing true.

As we pause to celebrate “FREEDOM” for Juneteenth, and Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4, 2023, we must remember that we are only as free as we are in our minds. And beyond that, we must endeavor to show our young people the way and teach them that they are the masters of the God-given destiny.

“There is no obstacle in the path of young people who are poor or members of minority groups that hard work and preparation cannot cure,” said Congresswoman Barbara Jordan – my hero. And she was right!

“If you’re going to play the game properly, you’d better know every rule,” proclaimed the late Congresswoman Barbara Jordan.

The time has come for a “TRUE EMANCIPATION” to occur in Black America. As a people, we are losing ground, because we’re allowing the wrong people to attach their struggle to our ongoing struggle. And beyond that, we must break free of the “MENTAL CHAINS” that career politicians have used to keep us in bondage for far too long. “If you’re going to play the game properly, you’d better know every rule,” proclaimed the late Congresswoman Barbara Jordan. And she was correct.

Now, what we’re seeing play out in Texas politics right now, is what’s called a “POLITICAL PARADIGM SHIFT” that’s about to change the political game forever. That being said if we “BLACK PEOPLE” don’t wake up, we’re going to become irrelevant when it comes to our political strength and socioeconomic status.

I’m going to close out this message with these words from the late great Congresswoman Barbara Jordan, “If you are dissatisfied with the way things are, then you have got to resolve to change them.”
