Clouser Opens Up About the Dirty Political Tactics Used Against Her By Councilman Chris Preston in their December 12th Runoff

Councilwoman-elect Lynn Clouser has a right to be upset about some of the dirty political tactics that were used against her down the stretch of her runoff race for Missouri City Council. According to Councilwoman-elect Clouser, her opponent, Councilman Chris Preston actually took it upon himself to go out and knock on doors and paint her as a Trump-loving Republican. And according to Councilwoman-elect Clouser, she’s got the proof.

Councilwoman-elect Lynn Clouser Opens Up About the Dirty Political Tactics that She Says Were Used Against Her in the Runoff Election

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

I knew that there was bad blood between the two factions that were doing battle over in Fort Bend County, Texas during the December 12, 2020, runoffs – but I had no idea it was as bad as it turned out to be. Heck and to make matters even worse, I posted an article inside of the “TAKE OUR CITY BACK” group and got attacked by some of the members for nearly 10 hours straight yesterday. Their attacks were very mean-spirited and unwarranted in my opinion. And the attacks got so bad yesterday, that I just eventually decided to just delete my post and leave the group. I am so disappointed – but I digress. What has politics come to these days? Why are people so cruel? Anyways, moving along, I can kind of understand why Lynn Clouser is so upset and speaking out about what happened to her, because this is ridiculous. It’s unnerving to think that Councilman Chris Preston would go out there and use the tactics that Councilwoman-elect Clouser is alleging that he used against her. Well, I guess in the end, her 2,000 vote margin of victory should serve as notice to everyone planning to run for office in 2021 and 2022, using dirty political tactics – DON’T DO IT!

"I ran across this very nice "THANK YOU" message that was posted by Councilwoman-elect Lynn Clouser after her Saturday, December 12, 2020, runoff election win. Way to go Lynn."

MESSAGE FROM LYNN CLOUSER

“Inquiring minds have wanted to know... Many of you have called to ask me if my opponent had reached out to congratulate me on my victory. It’s certainly not required but it’s usually customary for the candidate(s) who fell short to do so once the winner has been officially declared. At 4:30 pm today, he rang.

I’m usually a warm and fuzzy person. There were no warms and no fuzzies from me. I thanked him for his call and his service to our city. That was it. Here’s why:

During the last two weeks, I was under the impression that a member from my opponent’s team was knocking on doors in heavily populated Democratic neighborhoods who had my sign in their yards, telling them I was really a Republican and Trump supporter in hopes of conversion. If that wasn’t troubling enough, here’s the most unsettling part....Imagine the horror in my whole entire being when my friend corrected me yesterday and told me it was my opponent himself, not a campaign staffer as I originally thought. It just so happened, that it was my friend’s brother’s home and he has it all on his Ring Doorbell. All 30 minutes of the attempted conversion strategic mission that turned into an epic failure. Did I mention this was done by our 3 term council member himself?? I wish I could make this stuff up.

Oh, and I found out who the culprits were who were behind that photo-shopped MAGA hat flyer of me....Two African American grown women in leadership roles in our great city who wholeheartedly supported our Black female Mayor and swore that black women should never tear other black women down. They WILL get all the warm and fuzzies I have to give. For a lifetime.

Here’s the lesson: Never lie to elevate yourself or maintain what you have. Always operate with integrity. Lastly, ring folks doorbells like you’re being recorded because.....You are!!!”

THE BRAINS

I’m the President/CEO of Aubrey R. Taylor Communications, the publisher of Houston Business Connections Newspaper©. In case you don’t know, I have 30-years of experience in marketing, branding, investigative reporting, public relations, opposition research, and political consulting. I’ve assisted in branding Republican and Democratic candidates in statewide elections and local municipalities throughout the State of Texas. Over the years, I’ve also assisted in branding and marketing (through my various publications) such corporations and institutions as Shell Oil, The City of Houston, Texas A&M University, Texas Southern University, Prairie View A&M University, Chevron, Waste Management, Nationwide Insurance, Momentum Jaguar/BMW, Channel 11, Channel 13, State Farm Insurance, and Allstate Insurance to name a few.

EXPERIENCED REPORTER

I would have you to know that not everyone who has been accused of a crime or enters a guilty plea in connection with a crime is guilty of the crime they're accused of committing. Neither is everyone who goes to trial to fight charges that are leveled against them and get's convicted are guilty. Look, over the years, some very bad things have happened to people of color in our criminal justice system. So to this end, please understand, that during my career, I’ve gone into the Harris County Jail and Texas prisons on numerous occasions (on secret assignments) working in conjunction with the owner of one of the largest locally owned private security, and investigations firms. The man who was funding my investigations back then (who mysteriously died) also was the godfather of one of my sons, and the backer of one of my publications. That being said, I can straight-faced assure you that I’ve seen some of the injustices that are occurring in the Texas penal system up close and personal. While on the inside, I interviewed (face-to-face) some of the hardest criminals you can imagine for my research. I also discovered first-hand that many of the people who should be locked up are walking around free, and not all of those who are locked behind bars are guilty of the crimes that they, in some cases pleaded guilty to – for whatever reason. So, let me assure you that I know a criminal when I see one. And we have a handful of local elected officials who are straight-criminals and must be stopped!!!

PEOPLE OVER POLITICS

Based on my direct observations over the years, I can attest to the fact that our current criminal justice system is more about “HAVE’S AND HAVE NOT’S” to a greater degree than most people realize.  That being said, sure, in some cases, the skin color of the person being accused of a crime plays a role in who gets indicted and eventually convicted of crimes and those who go free. However, at the end of the day, from observing the system from the inside, and out; having money, good legal representation and access to influential people are unfortunately key determining factors when it comes to who will spend the rest of their life walking around with an “X” on their back and who doesn’t. So, to this end, we must endeavor to change our criminal justice system and political landscape by “TAKING POLITICS OUT” of the way our judges are selected in the Lone Star State – that’s very important to me!
