AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
Do endorsements matter? If you ask me, I think that endorsements matter a lot more than people realize in local races. Why? Well, for starters, some endorsements matter a lot more than others. And you have to remember that all politics is local. And in local elections like the one currently being held for the Houston City Council District B runoff, between Cynthia K. Bailey and Tarsha Jackson, endorsements could be the difference-maker. However, a candidates’ endorsements should not be the only measure used by voters who are trying to select the best candidate to represent their interests. Let’s face it, picking the right candidate can be tricky – especially when we aren’t getting accurate information from mainstream media sources. Such is the case from back in 2019 when Cynthia K. Bailey placed her name in the hat of potential Houston City Council District B candidates. What am I talking about? Well, Cynthia K. Bailey was very forthcoming about her past from the time she decided to run for public office, however, her story wasn’t covered correctly if you ask me. Instead of painting Cynthia K. Bailey in a negative light, there were several other angles that I believe could have been explored. One would have been to look at her life in two stages – before and after her transgression. How would I have done it differently? Well, there’s no doubt that Cynthia pled guilty to committing an act against the public’s trust. However, it’s also a fact that Cynthia K. Bailey laced up her boots and paid her debt to society. So, one part of her story includes a life that went off the rails. But her story didn’t end there. It has blossomed into something beautiful as she now finds herself on the cusp of accomplishing a major milestone if she's elected on Saturday, December 12th. And in case you haven't heard, I have decided to donate $5,000.00 to the Cynthia K. Bailey Campaign in the form of an (IN-KIND CONTRIBUTION) to help her fight back against the forces that are working to stop her from becoming the next City Council Member for District B on Saturday, December 12, 2020. Run Cynthia run -- we believe in you!!!
ENTER THE BUSINESSWOMAN CYNTHIA K. BAILEY
After paying her debt to society, Cynthia K. Bailey has engrossed
herself in her work, and her commitment to her craft shows. Every time you drive
down a street during election season, you see Cynthia K. Bailey’s handiwork. You
see, for years and years, she’s been the go-to-person for some of our most
powerful local politicians. Cynthia’s client roster over the years has been
unrivaled if you ask me. And it’s included almost every local politician you
can imagine. But you didn’t hear her critics mention her business achievement very
much. Nope, all you heard was folks try to demean Cynthia and try to beat her
into submission – using her past as their weapon to do so. But Cynthia K.
Bailey, rather than fighting back chose to lean on her faith in God and his
ability to handle her haters and critics alike. In case you don’t know, one of
Cynthia’s favorite passages of scripture is ISAIAH 54:17, which states, “No
weapon that is formed against you will prosper. And every tongue that rises
against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the
servants of the Lord. And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. And this
passage of scripture has indeed held true whereas Cynthia K. Bailey is concerned. How
can I say this? Well, it took a miracle for this “REDEEMED CITIZEN” to even make the runoff. When you look at it, Cynthia K. Bailey is a walking miracle, a
testimony to the goodness and grace of a “MASTER CRAFTSMAN” who has navigated
her safely through troubled waters and ordered her footsteps as she’s marched her
way right up to her promised land. Yes, I’m calling the Houston City Council
District B seat Cynthia’s promised land. Why? Well, only God Almighty himself gave
Cynthia K. Bailey victory after victory at every level of the civil court system.
I mean, it was a beautiful thing to behold, as we watched all those judges side
with Cynthia and her legal team over the people who were trying to steal her
hard-fought victory away in the courts – but I digress.
CYNTHIA K. BAILEY HAS A DATE WITH DESTINY ON SATURDAY DECEMBER 12TH
To put it bluntly, I believe that PROVERBS 21 can hold true on Saturday, December 12, 2020, in the case of the voters of Houston City Council District B. In case you aren’t familiar with this passage of scripture, it states, “The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it wherever he will.” So, just like the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY turned the hearts of all of those judges who ruled in Cynthia K. Bailey’s favor toward her, I believe that he can also turn the hearts and minds of the people of District B toward his chosen vessel on December 12th! So, that being said, Monday, November 30, 2020, is much more than a day to vote early – it’s a day that District B voters can flock to the polls to cast their ballot for a woman who is a walking miracle and testament to God’s goodness, grace, mercy, favor, and faithfulness. Yes, I said that, and like the good book says, “Let anyone among you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” I didn’t think so, because, at the end of the day, every human being has fallen short in one area or another. The only difference between all of us is that some of us have transgressions that are known, and some of us have transgressions that are not on public display. But as it relates to Cynthia K. Bailey, let's hope and pray that District B voters are informed, and empowered as they boldly cast their ballot for the best of the two choices that they're presented with on Saturday, December 12, 2020.
