Harris County Justice of the Peace Hilary Harmon Green Has Drawn Seven Opponents in the 2016 Democratic Primary

- JUDGE HILARY H. GREEN -

Justice Hilary Harmon Green is Being Challenged by Keryl L. Douglas, Cheryl Elliott Thornton, Fred Reynolds, Dr. Joseph R. Willie II, Elijah Carl Lewis, Desmond Earl Spivey, and Jerome Provost in the 2016 Democratic Primary

Justice of the Peace Hilary Harmon Green, will face the toughest challenge of her political career when she faces off against seven opponents in the Tuesday, March 1, 2016 Democratic Primary for Harris County. Appointed by the Harris County Commissioner’s Court back in 2007 to fill the unexpired term of Judge Betty Brock Bell, Justice of the Peace Hilary Harmon Green hasn’t faced this kind of political challenge before. The only challenge she’s faced thus far came back in the Tuesday, March 4, 2008 Democratic Primary when she handily defeated Giovanna Carroll-LaFleur in a lopsided contest where she finished the night with more than 77.74% of the vote to Carroll-LaFleur’s 22.26% of the vote. But Giovanna Carroll-LaFluer was virtually unknown. This time around she will have to fend off several key opponents who are mounting serious and viable campaigns to unseat her.

UNCHALLENGED IN 2012

No candidate stepped up to challenge Justice Hilary Harmon Green in the March 2012 Democratic Primary or the November 2012 General (Presidential) Election from the Republican side either.

LOOKING AHEAD TO 2016

When early voting begins on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in the Democratic Primary for Harris County, Justice Hilary Harmon Green will be facing off against fellow Democrats: Keryl L. Douglas, Cheryl Elliott Thornton, Fred Reynolds, Dr. Joseph R. Willie II, Elijah Carl Lewis, Desmond Earl Spivey, and Jerome Provost.

No other sitting (Democratic or Republican) judge has drawn more opponents than Justice Hilary Harmon Green has for the 2016 Primary cycle in Harris County. So stay tuned to see whether she will be able to rise to the challenge!

IN CASE YOU DON'T KNOW

Harris County Justice of the Peace courts are charged with handling matters such as Marriage Ceremonies, Class C Misdemeanor offenses, traffic citations, civil lawsuits (under $5,000.00 dollars), evictions and truancy cases.

THE RACE FOR HARRIS COUNTY REPUBLICAN PARTY CHAIRMAN IS BEING CONTESTED IN THE MARCH 2016 PRIMARY

A very important race on the Tuesday, March 1, 2016 Republican Party Primary ballot in Harris County is the race for Republican Party Chairman. THE KEY 2016 DEMOCRATIC PARTY PRIMARY RACE WE'RE WATCHING IN FORT BEND COUNTY IS THE RACE FOR (HOUSE DISTRICT-27)

FORT BEND DEMOCRATS

ATTENTION DEMOCRATS: The key Ground-Game Magazine® Tuesday, March 1, 2016 “Democratic” Primary “Competitive” Race in Fort Bend County is the race for Texas State Representative (HD-27) between Ron Reynolds (far left), Steve Brown (second from left), Angelique Bartholomew (third from left), and Chris Henderson (fourth from left). So, please make an informed and empowered decision in this race.

***IMPORTANT (HD-27) INFORMATION

State Rep. Ron E. Reynolds (HD-27) is seeking re-election while fighting what he believes to be a miscarriage of justice he received in Montgomery County. Reynolds is seeking to hold on to his seat while appealing his recent conviction on five counts of Misdemeanor barratry. He is out of jail after posting a $25,000 bond to gain his freedom -- as he fights to clear his name. His appeal in the “MISDEMEANOR BARRATRY CASE” is being handled by his fellow State Representative Harold Dutton (HD -142) – a well-known Houston-area legislator and attorney. In a recent television interview Dutton seemed to allude to the fact that racism may have been a factor in the case against Reynolds – calling it “Conroe Justice.” It is also fair to note that, the misdemeanor conviction (alone) does not disqualify State Rep. Ron Reynolds from continuing to serve the people of Fort Bend County.
