Dirty Deeds of William Paul Goes Back to His Work for Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rodney Ellis, Other Local Democratic Leaders

William-Paul Thomas (top left) has been dirty since way back during the days he served as the Houston Bureau Chief of the Rainbow/Push Coalition. And according to sources, he's been doing his "DIRTY DEEDS" for more than a decade. Remember the Enron scandal that rocked America back in 2002, when Rev. Jesse Jackson came to town to pray and lay hands on Ken Lay, the former CEO at Enron's corporate headquarters? Well, this William-Paul Thomas character was right by Jackson's side. But later, William-Paul Thomas had some issues, and his relationship with Jackson soured. He also worked for Commissioner Rodney Ellis, when Ellis was a state Senator. He also worked for former Houston Mayor Annise Parker (bottom left), and former Houston Mayor Bill White over the last decade. I’ve been trying to tell anyone who would listen that Harris County, Texas has become the vilest, most corrupt county in all of America. I’ve been working in Harris County, Texas as an “INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER” and publisher for over 30 years, and I’ve never seen it this bad. The crime, corruption, and cronyism have gotten so bad, that I can’t even tell the good “PUBLIC SERVANTS” from the corrupt politicians. And, on top of that, we aren’t even dealing with a fight that’s between “REPUBLICANS” versus “DEMOCRATS” anymore.

Right now, criminals are wreaking havoc in our streets, as Harris County residents are being gunned down, robbed, raped, and beaten up daily. Why? Well, for the most part, under the guidance of Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis (Democrat), Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo (Democrat), and Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia (Democrat), Harris County, Texas has become a haven for low-level criminals, violent criminals, white collar criminals, and corrupt politicians. But you don’t have to take my word for it – all you have to do is look at the “CRIMINAL INFORMATION” that was just unsealed related to the activities of William-Paul Thomas, who served as the right-hand man for Mayor Sylvester Turner and other high-ranking Democrats over the years.

According to (COUNT ONE) of the “CONSPIRACY” involving William Paul Thomas, “Beginning in or around May 2020 and continuing through in or around November 2020, in the Southern District of Texas and elsewhere, the Defendant, “WILLIAM-PAUL THOMAS” did knowingly conspire, confederate, and agree with others known and unknown to the United States, including BUSINESSMAN 1, to commit offenses against the United States that in being an agent of an organization and local government that receives, in any one year, benefits above $10,000 under a federal assistance program, to corruptly solicit and demand the benefit of any person, and accept and agree to accept, anything of value from any person, intending to be influenced and rewarded in connection with any business, transaction, and series of transactions of such organization and local government involving anything of value of $5,000.00 or more, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 666(a)(1)(B).

From what I read in the “MANNER AND MEANS SECTION” of the conspiracy, “BUSINESSMAN 1” would give and agree to give things of value to THOMAS in order to influence and reward him for his official acts as the Director of Council Relations for the City of Houston. These things of value, according to the “CRIMINAL INFORMATION” provided against William-Paul Thomas included cash payments. That being said, William Paul Thomas would accept cash payments and other things of value from “BUSINESSMAN 1) that were given to him as a reward for assisting “BUSINESSMAN 1” accomplish his goals.

Mayor Sylvester Turner and his top aide, William-Paul Thomas are frequent visitors of the historic Turkey Leg Hut, and according to William-Paul Thomas, the owners of this Black-owned business establishment are very good friends of his, and Houston's very own Mayor Sylvester Turner.

William-Paul Thomas was Mayor Sylvester Turner's right-hand man before resigning last week from his job for what he called health reasons. But what we know now, is that William-Paul Thomas, according to published reports, "PLED GUILTY" to a charge of conspiracy to accept a cash bribe in exchange for changing a bar's classification to a restaurant.

Is "Sly" Lying About Not Knowing Anything About William-Paul Thomas Pleading Guilty to Corruption Before Retiring?

This is not a good look for "Sly" as Mayor Sylvester Turner is affectionately referred to in some parts of Houston, Texas. But he's not called "Sly" for nothing. Why do people call Mayor Sylvester Turner "Sly" in these parts? Well, it's not because his name is Sylvester. According to the dictionary, sly means that a person has a cunning and deceitful nature about them. And this definition fits our crooked, lying, and conniving mayor perfectly. What does conniving mean? Well, when someone pretends to be ignorant on a matter that they are fully aware of like Mayor Sylvester oftentimes does, they are typically labeled as a conniving individual. So, is it possible that Mayor Sylvester Turner's right-hand man (William-Paul Thomas) was able to somehow plead guilty to federal public corruption charges, and Mayor Sylvester Turner does not know anything about it -- like he proclaimed yesterday, at City Hall, in downtown?

THOMAS PLED GUILTY

According to published reports, William-Paul Thomas pled guilty to conspiracy to accept a cash bribe in exchange for changing a bar's classification to a restaurant. By doing so, it would allow the bar to stay open much longer than a restaurant was able to back during the time Mayor Turner and his good friend Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo were placing all of those "COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS" on churches, and local businesses.

THE TURKEY LEG HUT?

My phone has been ringing off the hook since about 8:00pm yesterday, Tuesday, August 2, 2022. Many local leaders and Third Ward residents are asking the question, "Is the business in question the Turkey Leg Hut?" Now, I'm not sure whether Houston's very own Turkey Leg Hut is the business behind the federal public corruption charges that William-Paul Thomas plead guilty to last week. However, I am going to do a little digging to see what I can find out.
