How does he know? Well, he knows, because he was one of the so-called Black leaders who spoke out about the racist practices of these four HISD Trustees. On Saturday, December 11, 2021, the Black community, and everyone else who claims to care about our community, children, and well-being will have a decision to make. What’s the decision? Well, I’m glad you asked! You see, the four HISD School Board Trustees who have now found themselves between a rock and a hard spot, haven’t done anything whatsoever for Black students – absolutely nothing. And on top of that, these four ‘alleged’ racist trustees have worked to undermine efforts of sitting Black members of the HISD School Board. And they’ve failed every test, when it comes to supporting the Black community. But don’t take my word for it!!! Former HISD Trustee Jolanda “Jo” Jones said it best when she stated, “…Black people do NOT vote 4 Elizabeth SANTOS, Anne SUNG, Sue DIEGAARD, & Holly Vilaseca in the runoff election,” on her Facebook page last week. And she’s absolutely right!
BLACKS SHOULD STAND DOWN
Your vote is your voice! Your vote is the strongest weapon you have if it’s used wisely. That said, under no circumstances should Black folks or anyone else who cares anything about us be waltzing into any voting booth on Saturday, December 11, 2021, and voting for anyone who is unwilling to work in the best interests of our community. And according to Jolanda “Jo” Jones, these four HISD Trustees, (Santos, Diegaard, Vilaseca, and Sung) do not vote for Black people. How does she know? Well, according to Jolanda, she knows because she served on the HISD School Board with these four women. “I know because I served with them, I spent MOST of my time trying two undermine their ANTI-BLACK agenda,” says Jolanda.

Make no mistake about it, who the people of Harris County, Texas choose to give another term to in 2022 must be about substance, job performance, judicial temperament, competence, and whether or not our members of the judiciary are following the law with their rulings. And that being said, in 2022, it is incumbent upon the voters of Harris County to evaluate the job performance of each and every sitting "ELECTED OFFICIAL" on a case-by-case basis and not as a group based on their political party affiliation, ethnicity, or gender.
